It'd be nice to get some feedback when you overspeed the flaps.
Frosty2124 replied to Inf's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
i get the direction you're coming from, but there is plenty of information out there already. the f-14 is full fidelity, you could make an argument that it could be "study level" (this is a simulator after all). One of the main focuses of aviation is checklists and processes. the reference docs are there for a reason. I always recommend that one of the first things new pilots study and commit to memory is V speeds for all phases of flight, with an emphasis on landing... for everything else there's mastercar.......checklists and reference tables one of the big learning moments i had when coming to the 14 from 10,000+ hours on the bug is that you need a higher awareness of your airspeed, as i personally find that the bug pushes the information to you (HMCS, HUD, etc) whereas the cat needs you to get your cockpit management down. whilst i would never discourage anyone from buying an older aircraft as a first module due to its challenge, i would always advise that there is an increased level of management, process flow and study that might be required to fully master the jet. to use the flaps as an example, in the bug you wont get flaps if you are too fast, even if commanded whereas in the cat, as it appears you may have already experienced gives you flaps whenever you want them (sweep notwithstanding). one thing i would advise is to learn about the instrument six pack, and then get used to navigating the six pack and it will quickly become second nature. and you'll soon be dancing the Attitude, Altitude, Airspeed waltz. as far as the salt goes, it is my experience that when very experienced people deal with similar questions everyday it can become frustrating. ultimately i believe there needs to be a degree of empathy from both sides, i have to admit that even i am guilty of forgetting that i used to be where you were many years ago. i only to where i am because my "stupid" questions were answered by people with both experience and patience. but newer people should understanding of the frustrations of answering the same questions over and over again. that said, i'm happy to help you any way i can to understand what is a truly beautiful aircraft to fly. -
that's fair, i think it's unreasonable to expect people to just be banned without the application of due diligence, its good to see that you guys are happy to support and that people are open to engaging in dialogue.

despite how respectfully he may articulate his question/statement/opinion, there is a history of him trolling on this forum, particularly around G-limits and particularly mentioning that he has been trying to get himself permabanned, comments on previous, now deleted posts indicate that this individual has been banned off other forums for doing exactly the same thing, we have tried previously to provide evidence and information to help him but it boiled down to him articulating a nonsensical argument about flying hours and the FAA is lying about the true number of flights leaving from KLAX. subsequent posts from him have seen him subsequently double down on his attempt to be banned. I am always happy to help a fellow enthusiast to learn new things, provided they are willing to listen. but the status quo currently shows that he is a troll.

I MUST KNOW

The idiocy and ignorance from OP in this post is leading me to believe they are trolling, they just wont take "it isn't designed this way" as the bottom line truth.....

Yes, please google "US RU Relations" then please get a job at ED and push for them to make the changes - i wish you the best of luck :) the SU-30SM is a MOD and functionality is not guaranteed, furthermore, its not CV capable - please see the attached image i hope the information provided is enough to help you see reason, failing that, i hear the warthunder tomcat is just unrealistic enough to satiate your fever dreams :) https://warthunder.com/gb/play4free/?r=sem_10136588133_104105108840_437515024985_kwd-309746131090&placement=&gclid=CjwKCAjwu5yYBhAjEiwAKXk_eLkWC8Ibj8zY72GS9PCR7G3Q73E0VzdkVuEFqLhbhmPuksl1MVnHtRoCRb0QAvD_BwE#/ null

The 14 CANNOT, DOES NOT, WILL NOT take off from a kuz, Heres a link on catobar https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/CATOBAR If you dont understand the systems we can help you learn but you need to understand, what you are asking/moaning about: Is IMPOSSIBLE

What's your source for this? iirc the cats that were sent to Iran were supported en-route by the 135 so requirements would dictate that they must be the same, also at the time Iran wanted lots of western equipment so again it makes sense that it would be standard fit. if they changed it as part of their modernisation/maintenance process (S), I doubt we'll ever have access to that information. be good to see if you have gen the community doesn't though :)

Idea, Copy Petro targeting idea for GBUs and give them to Jester.
Frosty2124 replied to Soulres's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Imagine trying to gain support and traction for an idea and then launching your toys out of the pram at the first bit of constructive criticism. maybe you should ask the devs to implement petro into your daily life that way, when you throw you toys out the pram, they might hit some manners. -

the glove vanes aren't g-limiting devices, they are lift augmentation devices
-
you're misktaing g-limiits with g-limiters G-LIMITS are how much a jet can pull before it dies or what the navy they want the pilots to pull G-LIMITERS are physical restraint systems within the jet that prevent the aircraft from going over a certain G
