Perfect stick for A-10C from Thrustmaster?
Mercury replied to some1's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Medvedev must be a DCS fan too;). He can't wait to get his hands on DCS:A-10C:joystick::megalol: -
Things about to get complicated Below Sea Level :)

Awesome work T-Bone. Seriously. I think its the best terrain mod I've seen so far. The mesh resolution is nearly perfect.

ouch too hot for me. even GTX295 is hot enough. Thank God I bought the version with 2 PCBs. I agree with jessi1, a GTX285 or GTX280 would be perfect.

That F-16 looks sweet. Its not perfect, but the best one I've seen in lockon so far. Will there be any models for external tanks too? Also the Su skins look a lot more dirtier and real.

There is combat. But no explosions ;) FSX is civilian simulation. Unless Microsoft does something about it in the engine code we won't see any "real" military simulation. Last I heard Microsoft fired the entire FS developer team though  We fly with what we have. It is the best aircraft in FSX. I was not a fan of military aircrafts in FS simply because of the crappy flight modeling. I always thought that military jets have no place in FS... but VRS proved me wrong. Btw on a side note: My AiCarrier2 software got screwed up and it does not longer work once I installed the Superbug. I'm using Vista64bit, it worked perfectly fine before. If anyone have any insight of what might happen pls respond.. Superbug without carrier ops is only 50% complete :helpsmilie:

S-25T Shkval FPS drop Whats the deal ?
Mercury replied to Skoop's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
You can try and lower the cockpit screen resolutions from 512 to 256. It helps a bit... you might get an extra 5 or 10 fps if you haven't done that already. -
holly %^#%.. Adobe CS5 is out already???? :worthy:

Geforce Driver Release 197.55
Mercury replied to Mustang's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
This driver is just for 4 way SLI for ONLY 400 series. -
I feel the same way in DCS. I have this sim over a year now. I play almost every day and every time I jump in that KA-50 cockpit I feel I'm a complete noob. I still use labels, although the label color is the same for allies and enemies (mint green) to get a slightly better SA. I can't even imagine how DCS:A-10C would be when it comes out.

LOL my wingman had the same fate and was still able to fight. AIs are tough b&%#es when they have damage but when a manpad tries to shoot at them they turn tail and run like schoolgirls (Jettison weapons, tanks etc) Awesome landing btw

You need the Nvidia plugins for photoshop to edit the alpha channel. You can find them in Nvidia website.

This is so worth the money! Good job. -
Coming from Falcon...Will I be disappointed?
Mercury replied to robmypro's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
You won't be disappointed with DCS: Black shark. In a few months time DCS:A-10C will be around the corner too. Until then enjoy Falcon as much as you can because you'll never want to execute it again after DCS: A-10C. -
I agree. Its always up to Mil bureau and Russia of course. But when diplomacy kicks in... anything can happen. To sum up and get back on topic, TBS is truly an amazing product and will only get better :)
-
Just a question to ED: Which countries (armed forces) are eligible to buy this product and start their training on it? IF my country's national guard (airforce command) decides to buy this product to train our Mi-35P pilots will they have to make a contract with ED to create an Mi-35P helicopter in TBS right? http://cdn-www.airliners.net/aviation-photos/photos/6/7/0/1153076.jpg BTW on a side note: ED keeps showing us the F/A-18 A LOT in TBS lately (hint hint perhaps)?

I like it, but change the color of the black pixels to uh... lets say dark brown or dark green or remove them altogether.

:joystick::joystick::joystick::joystick::joystick::joystick::joystick::joystick::joystick::joystick: :D At 0:22... there's all the money right there!!!!:worthy:

Good Luck with the pit man. Your initial design looks great so far.

How well will Black Shark run on this?
Mercury replied to S.h.r.i.k.e.'s topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
I'm aware of that. But that extra ram can be addressed for other resources perhaps, no?? Its up to the OP of course if he wants to move to a 64bit system (which I think its a plus too), but thats too expensive. "Basically, a 32 bit Operating system can provide addresses for up to 4GB, defined in this case as 2bits to the 32nd power worth. At that point the Operating System runs out of address due to mathematical limitations. That 4GB includes any memory on the Mobo, devices need addresses, your video RAM needs addresses, then comes the system stuff. When there aren't enough addresses for everything, they get assigned in order of importance, your DIMMS coming last in line." http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/245572-12-tomshardware
