  2. Ok now I need to know how they want the animation to be set up. Because it can be done several ways....do they want it in the hieracrchy menu under IK or on the bottom in the render animation bar???? I finally firugred out this lod thing...only problem is it counts the other lod levels in the polygon counter...oh well hope that doesn't matter ;)
  3. OK nose is longer...almost all proportions very close to real thing...fins look fine i am not sure what you mean from all the pics i ahve seen they look the same... I have pretty much finished my skin...even though i was not very efficient with the skin layout since this my first skinned model LOL! I added line weathering..more depth to rivets...and a few things here and there...overall it looks ok.. Thanks for the hint Strikemax! I am still not sure exactly how to use that Level Of Detail Menu...at least i know where it is now! That is really the only thing left on my list...so I hope I can get that sorted out soon! and here it is! The original model in all its glory HAHA and some more pics of my (hopefully) finshed skin!
  4. Still working on the skin...need to do some weathering on the lines and add a few more details and the skin is finished... But I HAVE NO IDEA how to do a LOD in one file....could someone please tell me where to go in 3ds to create different levels in the same file...Thanks! :)
  5. I am on the skinning process right now but I am confused by ED's suggestions...i did everything they said and it works fine if i want to apply the bitmap to the split up model but when i try to apply it to my model that isn't split apart it doesn't work....

  7. I don't understand why the planes have all the pylons always attatched to the planes if there aren't any weapons on them??? IRL they remove the pylons from teh hardpoints if they aren't carrying weapons...I really wish we could remove them!
  8. But see Kuosta that is another expense to them to pay him...I think what they are doing right now is smart by letting the community do it FOR FREE! just becuase they want to help...They already have a few modelers anyway they aren't really short of them...
  9. Oh and btw teka maybe you can answer this... What are the Control_Containers, Weapon_containers, and Pylons_animation values above...what do these do???

Go to your lomac folder....go to config/weapons then opent eh drawinfo.lua file...you have to edit the RGB values of the smoke...which smoke you edit depends on the color you want to overwrite...and the kind of smoke pod you want to overwrite...if you want this on a non Nato plane you have to edit the R73U's and if you want to edit the Nato plane smokepods you have to edit the ones labeled AIM-9S. Pick the smoke you want to overwrite and change the r, g, and b values all to 0 to get a black color for the smoke...   16. This is a really cool idea...wish ED would have added this to the game so we didn't ahve to mod it....it just makes the airbases so much more realistic and "homey" feeling!

  18. WELL aren't you just special... just because "a few people" aren't noticing this doesn't mean that StarForce isn't behind...I really don't know what is !! But, hey! THEN AGAIN you guys may not be 6 ppl in close formation(within 2 feet of each other I would say)...so it may not be noticable to you...

  20. It is NOT lag...i know the difference...i used to be on 56K so why don't you calm down and listen.... The plane is not warping...it is moving in wierd ways...i did not have any of this in 1.02.... heck when i was on 56K it was better than the stuttering i am seeing now! I am not sure what it is but our host has intel and i have intel so i don't think its a problem with the AMD processors...
  21. OK so i begin flying in multiplayer thinking there might be some improvements!!! My question what the hell is all the stuttering from the other planes in 1.1!! I see planes around me go from right beisde me to about 500 feet away...the stuttering is constant but it gets really bad at times. ANYONE KNOW what this is???? or how to fix it??!!
  22. YUP I had to use a different port to play online...which means i can't connect to anyone's server who didn't set it up specifically for me!
