  1. I searched for threads regarding this problem but nothing solved it. basically i cannot rearm at any Farp other than the one i have taken off from. The track below reveals all There are three heliports in this mission and their communication frequencys are all the defalt value of 127.5. all they ever say is unable to comply. can anyone see wats wrong!? thanks.   3. cool been practicing for like 2.5 hrs not to hard!!! but in general i find it helps sometimes to have the heading channel off. i can fly with or without the 5th button but im guessing i should mainly fly with it off unless im evasivley manuvering.
  4. i prefere flying with it on but i dont think you can auto hover with it on or use any sort of auto turn /track for firing weapons with it on, so flying with it off is very different and i find it hard to see how he does that 45 pitch turn with those autopilot buttons resisting him? or does he hold down trim the whole time :S ?

  6. while i got all u lots attention! got a video thats been buggin me for ages this link it produces note 3 now, did he perform those manuvers with the 5th autopilot button on or off? cant be possible without it on surely? thank u 4 the vidoe just about to check it out

Guys this is very nice but, when you r talking about rudder correction, is this a temporary correction and then the heli turns back again to the unusual position. i had good idea if maybe one of u folk could send me a track of yourself using the cannon on in a simple mission like mine. in the mean time im going to make a track for you to look at.
  8. I feel i have had enough time to practice flying the Ka-50, and so therefore i have moved onto learning its combat employment capabilities. To do this i thought i'd start with the cannon, and so i have followed the manual by the letter to lock my target and set up my weapon (pg 400 of extended manual under the heading Cannon Employment) My problem is the auto turn/ autotrack feature doesnt seen to be working. once a target is locked the helicopter turns to a position where i cannot get an autherised launch, and so cannot fire unless i yaw left against the resistance and fire. when i release the pedals the autopilot returns it back to its awkward starting position. (this probably because i have missed something out) below; these pictures show the problem. the image with the HUD in view is showing how the helicopter automatically faces and hence preventing me firing. the other 2 images show the cockpit at that instant, maybe someone can spot something that should be on or on a different setting? :S i hope this post was clear if not just ask.

  10. oh yea i have the extended manual in another place, ill read it now since i 4got i had it! i didnt think to drop payload so thanks 4 that tip.

On occasions whilst flying a sortie i sustain damage to one engine, however the aircraft is still funtional despite this engine shutting down/losing power. there is no information in the manual on engine failure. Often when my engine is struck i do nothing yet can continue flying for some 2-3 minuites before i lose electrical power, and eventually cannot stop an unintentional descent. 1.My question is what is the emergency procedures when an engine gets struck. 2. Is it possible to continue flying on one engine for longer and have control over when you descend?! for example do you start by moving the cut off lever for that engine? (i have no idea what to do!!) (bare in mind an airfield is not nearby.)
  12. no trust i wasnt going to fast. i played about three times in a row and wheels would not extend each time after i got hit. however i do understand what your saying as it seems to be only this aircraft that this problem occurs.
  13. has the next DCS aircraft actually been anounced??. if not what aircraft is it likely to be and is there strong evidence towards its case?
  14. I Noticed this weakness too. be doing alot of flying in the su-33 and whenever i get damaged the hydrolics always seem to go, and therefore you cant extend the landing gear, so its mission over!! :s
  15. yh same mate, got the simmod A-10 extra weapons but half of them a laser guided, all you can do is drop them.
  16. i got mig-29k and it can be armed with Kh-29L . the big laser guided missile. beacause the Mig-29k has no laser designator you can never launch it. is there any way of making ground units light up a target 4 u?
  17. so if that repacked mig-29k mod that i installed is someonelses repacked mod, wheres Tomcatz original release. plus does it replace the su-33? wat about the admiral kezuntov model? would you be able to send me the download link 4 that too? thanks 4 ur help !

  20. sorry to keep posting everywhere but i see all this great stuff and i cant seem to get hold of it.!! can some one help me get these mods(that is Tomcatz admiral kuzuntov and also this fantastic mig-29k) can u send me the download links also is there anything other mods that i need to have installed already or maybe not installed?? thank u 4 ur great work!

Tomcatz i tried installing a flyable mig-29k mod the other day but it wont install. i dont know if its ur one or not, or i need some other mod installed for this one to work, but if anyone could shed some light on the matter. i currently making a carrier based campaign, and would bring a new dimension if i could fly both su-33 and mig-29k :D thanks !

  23. I think this is the best missile evasion thread btw I could go on all day with questions so just one or two more 1. It seems to me that the Su-27's TWS mode can't lock two targets at once (like F-15) Is its radar not as powerful or intense :S ? 2.SAM launch from the ground ! i guess because these missiles are ground based they gonna have more range, and obviously the best way to avoid the danger is to use the terrain but say you come over a rigde and ones staring you in the face whats the best way to avoid them. i supose notching would be no good? oh and 3. what is your avatar picture of asparagin? lol
  24. well i think 'whys it called beaming seemed to be the toughest question 4 u guys!. thanks again to :FLANKERATOR, EtherealN, Vekkinho, asparagin and GGThargos! i thinks thats everyone in this thread lol I find all these little details appetising and its really made a difference to my BVR tactics and thinking. I heard that the f-4E doesnt have a look down shoot down capability? Most of the fighters on lock on seem to but they can all be exploited by beaming or notching?(fingers crossed). however can u prevent losing lock by matching your opponents altitude with so hes above the horizon relative to you?
