I was the same as you. You just need to download the module Ka-50 1.2.2 and install it once you have DCS world 1.2.2. Question is did you get the upgrade BS2 or the standalone BS2?

this is not so much a bug so i have put it here i have 1.2.0 dcs world + BS + upgrade to bs2 that lets it fly in dcs world and then with P-51 1.2.0 however i would like to keep it more tidy i need to update to 1.2.2 but im not sure what i need to do do i need to uninstall all of this then just install 1.2.2dcs then 1.2.2 p-51 . what about BS2 do i leave that on ? i have no idea! i have made a start by downloading dcs world 1.2.2 AND P-51 1.2.2 and dcs bs2 upgrade 1.2.2 but not installed them obviously.

How? btw i just realised ive got 1.2.0, well on the main menu screen the icons at the bottom are all 1.2.0 no need to delete saved games/missions etc? what do i need to do to update?

no it is a gtx 675 and my friend had the gtx 670 1.5GB i checked my nividia CP but no settings to change there, what do you mean by the inspector, AA and the rest of that? might it have something to do with these settings?

Hi , this is a clean install on a new computer. the only thing i have installed is DCS world, no other ED or DCS products are on it and if you please check the picture thats the result. the spec is 2.7-3.7 i7 3820QM , 8GB RAM and GTX 675 2.0GB the thing is i had the same problem putting BS2 onto a friends computer also brand new, with BS1 then patch then BS2 upgrade and when i ran it it had holes all over it too. also in both cases the frames only on 8. please help no idea what to do

then what? do i install dcs world then my upgrade back ontop?

i have BS 1, then i bought the BS2 upgrade, then installed its patch then waited for the dcs world patch to come out. it says delete all previous DCS products? what do i do uninstall all BS2 and BS1?

I think that DCS, if not to late already, needs a whole new game engine. with all these modern games that have fantastic efficient engines (frostbite 3, crytec 3 etc) when people go to buy a laptop they do not need to spend more than £1100 approx like i did to play all the latest games, and so its very difficult decision to lash out an extra few hundred on top so you can get a ridiculusly large processor just to run the sims. take battlefield 3 for example, i can run that on my system without a single hitch, but thou awesome the much lesser graphics of DCS is a real struggle. I know the reasons for this like most, so all there is to say is that i strongly feel a new game engine ought to be considered, an engine that utalises all the new quad core technology out there as well as taking off some of the load from the processor and letting the graphics card join in. If only!!

i play BS2 with 17, 2670QM 2.2 -turbo to 3.1 GHz , a GTX570M and 8GB of RAM. When i run BS1 Maxed out i get around 30fps in cockpit and never less than 19, and up to 65 outside. ie perfectly playable however BS2 (on less then maxed out i only get around 24 in cockpit and frequently drops to 16 or less if theres lots of smoke and bullets etc. and 40-50 outside. also i get really annoying lags everytime i use a weapon for the first time in a mission. for example the first round i shoot out of my cannon will lag, then any time after that it will be fine,.. same for rockets and ATM. does anyone know how i can increase my fps without reducing my graphics drastically, or if pehaps there is one graphics setting in the menu that really cost frames that i should turn off/down? thanks

So you either have buildings on crimea or buildings one FC2 part of the map, either way all airbases work. But what about terrain textures, is it the FC2 high res textures?

Hi i just saw this new mod thats been uploaded to the user file section on the eagle dynamics site but its russian and it doesnt translate very well to english could anyone help me understand it. http://files.lockon.ru/en/145725/ its this Merzifon in LockOn FC-2 MOD. i do love the original lock on terrain (Crimea) and want it back! but of the various mods that bring this back into FC2 you have to sacrifice some of the new map and airfields. with this mod it doesnt seem to say much but i can see in the screenshot that all the FC2 airbases seem to remain (and i presume the terrain too) so basically before i install can any confirm does this new Mod give the crimea terrain back aswell as keeping all of the new map? If it does that is so CoOl!! i did not make this mod thank the author

whats AFAIK? i read the review on SimHQ of BS2 and it said track playback in 4 of 5 tries screwed up about 3 mins in? that true. but as you said it is completley separate and BS2 will not change any of my BS1 files etc? oh and just to check since i have DSC BS1 its the upgrade i want and not the second one down on the page. http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?end_pos=1322&scr=shop&lang=en

HI does anyone know if they have fixed the track playback for BS2 yet and does it work with Track IR5. also i wasnt sure but if i get BS 2 will i still be able to play BS1 like normal. if so track playback prob wont annoy me?

hello again! good news first thank you cichlidfan i did as you said and now the ministick slews the shkval which is awesome. secondly the mode switch also changes the aircraft mode as i wanted. but i still have one question. Is it possible to set up a button so that it acts like a modifier like on Lockons own control menu where this was possible. i think what i mean is best illustrated with an example. so say for example im in 1 mode. in this mode i want to use one button to turn both my engines on. so when it is pressed alone it turns the left engine on and then when pressed with say (D) it turns the right one on. likewise when D is pressed with say C (shkval target size increase) it would make the shkval target size decrease. is this possible?

No sorry i was very unclear. From the manual (page 6 of 9 top paragraph) i understand that you can turn the mode switch on the top left of the stick, and in doing so this can actually be a command. For example what i would like it to do is switch to air to ground mode (7 in lock on) when i turn the switch to mode two position , or nav mode (1 in lock on) when its switched to mode 1 etc. Are you sure about the mouse thing spikenet. Is it possible on DCS BS or lockon? i think it is beacuse you can change the mouse into a directional axis, or buttons i think. I've seen one profile where it was used for buttons. oh and thank you very much peterp very kind it may solve another query :D

ok so the manual has helped enormously however as you prob expected i still have some questions. is it possible to make the mouse on the throttle be the shekval slew? i had an attempt but couldnt see how to do it. also in the manual it says when you switch to a shift mode it can execute a command. however can you made it do this when simply switching normal modes.
