Lies. Well... It has a stepwise character to it. Whoever said that to you probably loves shooting down choppers. I fly at 120-80 for that second step 15-20miles detection. If I want to remain really safe, I'll set up flight director and trim out for <70ish and and go watch youtube for a while. :D

I've stop calling it Ghey-Ten ever since AGM-65D can now engage Strela-10M with some reason. Also the CBU-97 is a nice bomb with it. Gives it new life.

Vladimir Zhirinovsky, IMO is a creation of the authorities to soak up far right, wingnut votes. He's been at it for over 20 years. It keeps the extreme far right vote invested in an incompetent and already compromised politician. Basically, a lame duck, government controlled version of Nick Griffin.

Thanks mate. I was just wondering really. Lots of different countries have unusual road culture. In Russia it seems dashcams are part of that culture.

Oh and if you think it is a Su/Mig: EOS lock in the rear hemisphere for a Ka-50 is about ~7km. But Head on is about ~3km. So think twice before you run away. Best thing to do is travel slowly <70km low and face where your opponent.

Here's a few pointers mate: A Ka-50 travelling at 250km/h is visible on a F-15 look down Radar ~30nmiles. At ~80km/h this represents about 15-20nmiles detection. And then something magic happens at about ~70km/h .... on look down, a Ka-50 is practically invisible right up to a merge situation, on enemy radar. ;)

I think that's just your take on it so far, Ralfi, and isn't really true. Red MiGs out of Beslan harass the blue strikers which are normally within 100km from main fighter base. For example, Several AI MiG-25RBTs consistently get to within 50km of BLUE Tblisi-Lochini before they're forced to turn back. If they can... so can you! Several AI Tu-22M3s consistently bomb Kutaisi. :D If they can... so can you! Red AWACS is protected by a silent Peter the Great. I say Silent because there are no spikes off him in 1.2.2. Just a smash to the face. Now... you can go low and mow grass in the hills... but you can do that on blue side aswell, feet wet, way out west and south. As for getting to bases easy.... that's the idea. If they're not defended by cover, the theme of this mission is, that they are vulnerable. That said, Sochi is protected by SA-3's. To knock out Sochi you need to fly a Su-25T, about 400km and rearm probably once, normally in full picture coverage of Red AWACS. Main fighter base is Kras Central for fighters. When DCSW/FC3 matures out over the patches the working DATALINK/EWR network will start to take effect also. ;)

Yeah ralfi, I like having them up there so you and your 'H' buddies have something to shoot down after your long cruise. :thumbup::P BUt yeah it'll be looked at. The original idea was to spatially separate them across the map aswell so that one could pick which the appropriate one to interrogate. Special thanks to 104th_Presing for some philosophical contributions at the start. General Notes: The theme of this mission is Reality. Or at least, a little step towards reality. Friendly airbases will not be seething with 14 TOR's, Strelas, Buks as one might find in our classic setups. Just like in Real Life, The Airbases and the surrounding Urban areas are covered by Medium Level and Theatre Level SAMS... in sparse quantities. You loose them? You suffer. The Air to Air component of this mission strongly relies on airmanship. If you end up taking a wrong step and are defensive, it's not entirely likely you will reach 14 friendly SAMS with full gate as with other mission on rotation. No, you might just get run down and killed. The aim is to put more emphasis on the engagement itself and take a little burden from our ever stressed AI SAM network. Also, as recent conflicts have shown the threat of low level AAA and manpads from both hostile and friendlies are ever present. This is represented in this mission, though I've also tried to mirror the general incompetence and 'lucky shot' element by setting these units on 'Average' skill setting. If you must fly low over urban areas, open eyes, and fly fast. Furthermore, completing the target areas does not require you to hunt down single men with Iglas, or simple AAA. The main armour units are only required as would be the case in real life. This also implies that flying over a destroyed Target ALPHA does not guarantee you are safe from a spot of AAA fire. One last thing if you should kill a friendly MANPAD or AAA close to enemy areas, we can agree to call that acceptable collateral damage. All constructive comments are welcome. The mission itself is broad enough to allow plenty of evolution as FC3 Beta matures, and as we see how things go with the first few weeks in rotation and feedback.

This recon flight, if successful will Smoke all ground targets in the Target Areas for 15mins. Enemy Air Bases: All air bases within Georgia are enemy. ALL Target Areas ALPHA through DELTA become progressively more advanced and are *live* from the start of the mission. Fighters should try to support Friendly Tu-22M3 bombers as they cross into Georgian Airspace directly West of Sochi on a Naval Attacking run. Be advised of regular friendly MiG-25RBT flights Feet wet due South East towards Sukhumi. IN game triggered messages will indicate their presence. For the strikers, the SA-3 Complex at Gudauta and the SA-11 Complex at Sukhumi should be high priority targets. They will cause serious disruption of our AI Recon and bomber flights. When the SA-11 Complex is gone, AI flights will be able to keep the enemy busy. The SA-11 also acts as a bulkhead for the enemy to frustrate our Fighter Cover Activity down the coast from Sochi.
