Yeah, exactly. Took the stalls speeds to get Vat. Right now I will experiment with Vtgt = Vref + half HWC [min 5] + full gusts, at least this is what I am used to

major update... have fun...

So today I upgraded to win11, but needed to return to win10 for DCS... unfortunately, as win11 looks pretty neat. Desktop feels snappy and runs very smooth. BUT... DCS needs to be tuned for win11, or the other way round. I am running DCS in VR and on win10 it runs just smooth. With win11 I had extreme stutters and lags, both in the cockpit and while looking "outside". Scenario was on top of clouds for a CASE III recovery... My machine: 11900k, 3090, 4tb nvme, G2 as VR and all drivers are up to date... When either DCS is tuned for win11, or after a while when win11 has received some updates, I will certainly return. But just right now, win11 is no option for me on the gaming PC as it is mainly used for DCS...

Hey everyone, as I announced in the chapter_1 thread, chapter_3 has gone active. It should be used either in conjunction with chapter_1 or if you already know the hornet. Otherwise, it'll be hard to "read". Not much text is to be expected as it is meant to a QRH (Quick Reference Handbook). I will surely be releasing a kneeboard, as chapter_1 has blown the limits of a kneeboard. Yeah... you are right. Kneeboard builder starts converting with 00-png for page 1 and continues... So the kneeboard is offset by one. Guess I already have a work-around, so the png's will match the page number. Thanks for pointing this out!

Hey everyone! There is an issue which gives me a real headache and of course it is not only a hornet thing, but I gonna post it here anyway... The question is whether the NATOPS manuals which you find asking google are 100% public? Are there any restrictions e.g. for the A1-F18AC-NFM-000, 15 SEPTEMBER 2008, or are there none??? ... taking these infos as a reference ... I always thought they were public as the data presented is only scratching the surface of the hornet and doesn't go into depth. Problem is that "F/A-18C Flight Manual chapter-2" is done, but put on ice as I don't want to risk here anything... What is your view? Greets cruizzzzer

Hey everyone! As HMD alignment was introduced to DCS, I found that there is a difference between what NATOPS says and what is done during fine alignment in DCS. NATOPS states that everything is confirmed by the "CAGE/UNCAGE button". In DCS the fine alignment thou is confirmed by "TDC depress" iso "CAGE/UNCAGE button"... Did I miss there something or has a bug slipped in?

Hey everyone! Finally I made it and revised "chapter 1" to REV01082021. I faced some difficulties, as I wanted to keep the "side-by-side" format for the pdf, while adding the new features of the beta (e.g. HMD alignment). During HMD alignment I had to skip the BIT test, as it would have messed up the order of the following pages. Maybe in future I will add it... Later in the manual I had to change many hyperlinks from german to english. Hope I found all wrong hyperlinks... Kneeboard has also been updated... Greets cruizzzzer PS: on the last page of the pdf manual you got the hyperlink "check for updates on the pdf manual / kneeboard" in order to get the latest version. To get to the last page quickly just click on the "REV [date]", shown on each lower left page corner... PPS: One thing worth noting: During "HMD fine alignment" NATOPS states to press the "CAGE/UNCAGE button" for confirmation. In DCS this is done by "TDC depress"

it really depends on what you are looking for... on mine I took on the flow from the NATOPS manual and picking up the flow, which takes you from a cold&dark to being airborne and getting you back to the boat or via a vfr landing pattern. Maybe for some, it is a bit of a "system overflow" but on the other side nothing will be left out...
