Hi Ragtop, I'll read through maybe tonight (although I have another late one tonight) or Friday because I would like to try and get it sorted before I install Win 7 and the latest version of A10C (next week)... So I may be asking you more questions if thats okay?? Thanks again for helping out :)

Hi Ragtop - I got in really late last night so didn't have time to do anything...I'm afraid I have no idea what to do... so maybe you can explain what you said...'modify the Indicator.init lua file in the (install location)/scripts/aircraft/A-10C/ALR169 folder' ... Could you tell me how I need to modify it? and also - How do I need to 'modify the Monitor Setup file in the config folder'? If you have some examples I think I could do it. If I can just get the RWR to show on my second monitor, I'm sure I could work out how to get it in the correct position! Thanks for your help :)

Thanks Ragtop - Yes I will need help - lol :) Much appreciated. I couldn't find the thread!

Just a quick note. I tried to do a short film - but it wasn't very good - so will do another. I have fixed the floodlights now (one failed in the UFC as well). I'll post pics this week. In the meantime I'm in need of help! I can't get the RWR to work on my second monitor. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks :)

Thanks Nomdeplume - I'll try that tonight! :)

The reason I am asking if you can do this stuff on the UFC is because I have been building a pit for the last year and have a UFC made for me by Pitbldr I want to try and use it as much as possible instead of the CDU... I haven't got one of those! lol :) Well not a 'non-virtual' one anyway...

Can you switch from flight plan to mark on the UFC?
-
Thanks Smokey - How do you slave the TGP to a markpoint?
-
I know you can do it via the MFCD and UFC - I just don't know how!! :)
-
I Thought there might be a way to do it 'in flight'.. i.e. through the MFCD (CDU repeater page) and the UFC?
-
Thanks Big - I need more info than that (sorry - said I was new!) Do you know how to do it step by step?

Hi, Hope someone can help. I'm new at using the Sim :) Does anyone know how to chsnge the height of the Waypoints so that when one is made a steerpoint and the TGP is slaved to the steerpoint the TGP point to the ground and not up in the air? I need to know how to do this using the MFCD CDU repeater page and the UFC? Would be great if someone could help... Thanks

Final Hi Cupra, I'm 5'7" so yeah it's a good size for me. However I did want a much larger person to be able to use it and there is much more room than you would think, thats why I re-built the seat and rudder box (several times) I'm getting a mate of mine (who is quite a size! lol) to test it this week. I think Iv'e finished the build for now (up to a point) In the future I would like to add some more switches and an AOA indicator. You can also see in the pictures that one of my LED units has failed - under the UFC, above the right MFCD. They are sealed units, so not much I can do. I'll order one this week and replace it next weekend. I'm just having a lot of fun at the moment......flying!!! :D Oh BTW my wife is going to get the flight manual printed into a book for me (Christmas pressy!) But I am still using version - I think 8... does anyone have the manual for the latest version they could post? Thanks :)

re-build I took a series of pics while re-building. I'm having problems with one of the floodlights at the moment which is a total pain. I'm going to change some of the wiring and see If I can sort it. Just finishing off the seat and am putting all the USB cables into some sort of order. I'll try and do a full test tonight - then I'll re-mount the main screen. I've showed some pictures of the monitor mount inside the glider and the main monitor mount (they are both LCD monitor wall mounts). .. More to follow :)

Thanks Gadroc - but if it wasn't for people like you I would never have had a working cockpit. So yeah, I'll do a full action video! :D

Back home Carried this monster back from my neighbours garage... I think we made quite a funny sight to passers by :) I've added some simple panel lines and am going to paint some other detail (not too much).. but I think it looks okay and hopefully less like a glider! I didn't in the end grade the colour... turns out my painting skills were pretty crap as well.. lol. So I kept things simple. I'll probably spend another day sorting inside the pit then start putting it all together.. should be ready by the weekend.. I'll see how it goes..

Another test! Thanks Ragtop - Actually I really do want to get it finished, as you know every job you do there are another ten things to go along with it and it has been a long build! Anyway, I tested the pilot light wired to the switch panel and it worked fine. I have been looking at various pictures of the A10C and think the pit should have 'some' detailing to prevent it looking too bland! I found some graphic tape that I used to use on RC scale model builds and am going to use that to add some panel lines (not too many - just enough to break the 'smoothness' after the paint job). I've used the A10 pic - 'attached' as reference. I've got a mate coming over tonorrow to help me lug it back to my house... more pics to follow :)

Painting Have nearly finished painting. Hopefully I can get it moved back into my house tomorrow - then do the re-fit. It's taken me two weekends to get the building and painting done.. I may add some decoration - don't know yet :)

Hi 98abaile, I thought of that.. don't think I'll do it though. I'n quite limited for space! I'm going to paint it light grey from the bottom - moving to dark grey on the top. I still may add more switches. If you look on the picture from above, there in space on the right hand side in front of the steps. The ribs on the fusalage are about 1/2" thick, so I could skin it and add the switches. I'll see how it goes - I could always do it later on. I'm going to order my phidgets board next month and would really like to add an AOA indicator on the canopy.

Final build Made a lot of progress today. I boxed in the base and sanded a lot of the front of the cockpit. I'm going to round off all the hard edges and finish the inside next weekend - then paint. Took a few pics (some from last weekend).... added a pic of my PC... don't know why.. can't do much work at night at the moment, so think I was a bit bored lol :D

Hi Scooter, What's your FPS like on that setup?... I would like a 3 x monitor main screen setup like that. What's the TH2G like... was it expensive?

Amazing work!! :)
