  1. have you tried making Shkval and abris bigger ? in other words to "fill" the anoying gap between them ?
  2. Thanks for testing
  3. the 181.22 work well for me but CUDA doesn't seems a lot of Vista users get problems enabling CUDA . the new ones are out since april 2 , 182.50 maybe they fixed it , haven't tried them yet .
  4. Anybody know how to set border sizes ? (to compensate for distance between monitors) everything I tried failed , I need to know how to modify the options.lua and softh.cfg together I guess...
  5. hahaha if you're going to go ; might as well go all out GOOD JOB !! and thanks for sharing
  6. 8 cores is for the hyperthreading capable CPUs , like Corei7s , not sure if yours can do that . if it can , it may be disabled in your Bios , personally I did disable it in mine and do only 4 cores , I get 40% better performance without it .
  7. same error yes . and thanks to you :)
  8. Unknown software exception , I am running it in admin mode . Skins load fine , error only happens when a mission is selected from DSCMax . I prefer the very fast machine reason:clap_2:though lol
  9. thanks Skypat . I got failure to load missions from DCSMax 1.6.1 on Vista 64 skins load fine
  10. cool shots , thanks for sharing .
  11. did you try setting the sideextrawidth manually ? it can be a negative value if side screens are smaller .
  12. here's a few in 3840x1024 ;
  13. cool , thanks for posting , have a bunch of screenshots myself but taking them as TGAs , have to convert to JPGs ... can you tell the software to take screenshots in another format ? the ones taken by BS only show 1 screen for me . also polecat , did you modify your initial cockpit position ? I wonder how to do that to test . Thanks
  14. update , Softh has a quick key for "squashing" app+S so Multiplayer works fine .
  15. update , Softh has a quick key for "squashing" app+S sorry to have mislead people to think Multiplayer wasn't possible with Softh I was just ignorant of that fonction tested and working fine in Mutiplayer I'm a happy camper now .
  16. all depends on your machine and the settings you want to fly with .. I really liked going to a big Skhval on another monitor , but I prefered going to 3 monitors and back to a small one . it's a compromise ...
  17. thanks for the info , is there a .ini or .lua file that applies to the GUI ? how did you do it in lofc ?
  18. BS works , but you will get better performance with Vista
  19. Great !! thanks for posting a pic of it working , DAMN NICE !! you can play in your view.lua to find the FOV angle you like best , check the first post of this thread I think I set it at 220 .
  20. Thanks for testing , might be particular to my system .
  21. thanks for sharing , now may I suggest going into your BIOS and turning OFF hyperthreading . hyperthreading off gave me a gain of 40% more fps your results may vary but I thought I'd share .
  22. BUMP !! anyone has a solution for this ? like a console command ?
  23. your system should handle it , but from tons of testimonials here , XP has lower performance than Vista (I hate vista but love it for BS) only Vista benefits from the core affinity trick . your solution is to turn down stuff starting with water , heat blur , shadows ... good luck P.S. I was also getting lower frame rates with 2 monitors , the only good news is I get the same fps going to 3 monitors .
  24. OK , have you tried (if you can) setting all 3 monitors to the same resolution ? because if you can and it works , it would be a step forward . how about your options.lua ? the graphics portion of it should look something like this (adjust for your chosen level of details) but this should be your aspect and resolution ; try first scaling down to smaller resolution of 1280x1024 on the 3 monitors (if you can ) here assuming it would work with 2 different resolutions 1280x1024 1920x1200 1280x1024; another option , if your center one can't come down would be to put all monitors at 1920x1200 ,if the side monitors can do it fine but if not use 1280x1024 in softh.cfg (you can even scale down more for added performance) here ; ; secondaryWidth/Height: Left&right monitor resolution, or 'auto' to use same as middle screen resolution ; secondaryRefresh: Refresh rate of left & right monitors, or 'auto' for automatic here's the options.lua for that 3rd option , all at 1920x1200 ; there is also a softh.cfg setting for adjusting manually for different size side monitors if "auto" fails ; yes it can be a negative value in pixels . ; sideExtraWidth: Width difference between middle and side monitors, or 'auto' hope you can have results with all on 1280x1024 then at least you could have a starting point . hope that helps
