MS FFB2 with X45 Throttle?
S77th-RYKE replied to scorpion69's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
BS is supposed to be able to recognise in game more than 1 joystick so you should be OK -
NP bud  added info about that feature I copied from an earlier post , (sorry don't remember by who  but thanks )
-
thanks :D, I didn't know you could do that for rendering . As for your question , Multiplayer tracks are automatically saved in the BlackShark/Temp folder . no special steps necessary .
-
so... if there is a moment I would like to save in a 20 minute file , there is no way to shorten the track at all , unless the actual "moment" I'm trying to save happens in the beginning then I can just exit and resave and that saves a shortened track right ? what if the "moment" is at the end of the track ? have to save and/or render the whole 20 minutes ? thanks in advance

S77th-RYKE replied to G3's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
ggg87 I see from that other forum thread you posted that you already have a triplehead to go .. I was wondering what made you want to look over other options , are you disapointed in triplehead to go ? that softTh thing with no additional hardware to buy other than monitors and cards sounds great , hope it works Ok as I would like to try it myself when I build a new system . -

I was thinking if it was possible to "shave" the sides of the monitors to crop the view a little closer and make this even more real looking , came across this thread of some guy doing just that on 3 x 19" flat screens here is the thread http://www.overclock.net/monitors-displays/146391-monitor-disassemble-updated.html and the step by step dissambly/reassembly http://www.mikevanelst.com/monitorproject/ it seems he managed to shave off more than half the space between the monitors .. sweet  anyone ever opened a regular monitor (CRT I guess it's called ) ? I wonder how "shavable" the older monitors are , cause I have a recycling place near here where I can get a 24" crt for $150 .... -

Windows Vista: The longest suicide letter...
S77th-RYKE replied to Cdr.Instigator's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
thx for posting ... interesting reads I won't be going vista that's for sure from the quotes in Gutmann's article ---------------------- “I've just had my first experience with HD content being blocked. I purchased an HP Media Center PC with a built-in HD DVD player, together with a 24" 'high definition' 1920 x 1200 HP flat panel display (HP LP2465). They even included an HD movie, 'The Bourne Supremacy'. Sure enough, the movie won't play because while the video card supports HDCP content protection, the monitor doesn't. (It plays if I connect an old 14" VGA CRT using a DVI-to-VGA connector)” — Roger Strong. ---------------- With the HD-DVD, I wasn't able to play my movie on my non- HDCP HD monitor. Not being able to play a movie that I have paid for, because some executive in Hollywood decided I cannot, made me mad... I'm just an upset customer. My efforts can be called 'fair use enforcement'!” — “muslix64”, author of the HD-DVD and Blu-Ray cracks ---------------- “The funny thing is that I cant see how HDCP will actually even prevent piracy. In fact the only thing I can see it doing is encouraging piracy because everyone whose bought a new computer/monitor/HDTV in the last few years which don't have HDCP are now screwed out of the several thousand dollar purchases. So instead of buying new products they will turn to pirated/cracked Blu-ray/HD-DVDs which will work without the HDCP” — “Gizza”. ----------------- The HDCP scheme will serve to make the illegal product the most full featured and least restrictive, and thus the most attractive to the consumer. Add in the expense of buying new equipment to view the legal content (when existing equipment is perfectly capable) and the performance drain imposed by in-line encryption/decryption and they've put out the biggest incentive to piracy yet” — “Greg”. ------------------ “The HDCP (high-definition content protection) overlords are coming to get us ---------------- “Good job, industry! Spend an incredible amount of time and effort developing the next generation of video quality only to step on it BEFORE THERE'S EVEN A DECIDED UPON STANDARD in the name of Copy Protection which will just be outflanked by a couple of 14 year old hackers and distributed over BitTorrent anyway” — “SweetMercury ----------------------- lol ------------------- -
actually the term is "jury rigged" it's not "jerry" for german according to wikipedia; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jury_rigged but it would have been funny if it was ;)

Yeah thanks Konny ... believe me I'd sell a lung for hi-speed of any kind :prop: I always played 56K without problems before It's these :censored: freezes ... I'm flying and then the game hangs for seconds , even my TIR don't work then :pain: -
56K , yeah I know ... :( I connect my ping is fine (for me ;))and after a bit I get big game freezes and my ping jumps up in the 1000 range , it slowly comes down till the next freeze that takes it up again... I tried connecting at all settings , 33K , 56K, 128K tested with 2 different 56K modems my FPS is fine so it doesn't feel like it's related to game lag . fresh XP pro install , fresh game install I'd appreciate any tips , I miss flying sooo much I also have a less serious graphic issue with water on MED , always see flickering glitches in it (haze off) this happens with all ATI drivers I tried . S!!

I don't know the first thing about LUA , and I'm sure it can be used for a lot of good applications . I am only going on by what I read here ; wouldn't that give the player an unfair advantage ? surely in game you don't have that info as it stands . All of us have to do this manually , surely someone doing this would get an unfair advantage ? so to prevent that he wants to make a script that tracks the target thru LUA ... I'd call that an unfair advantage ... now don't get me wrong , anything is fair in single player , but there is talk of online play in that first quote . so.... please enlighten me , if it works it looks unfair to me . no hostility just genuine concern . Regards
