  1. Not sure what boresight mode is. You can use TGP to create SPI and then switch to Mav and slew Mav to SPI. If you like pictures, checkout third guide. http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3171145/1/How_to_use_weapons_Picture_gui.html
  2. On CDU you press "function" and then use rocker. Check out DSMS training for more interactive guide.
  3. Isn't there a way to bringup your current control inputs while in flight. Check them out to see if there is an issue. Or just fly formation with tanker and see if you have same problem.
  4. anyone have input as to what guide I should do next?
  5. I haven't noticed such. Maybe you're just overcontrolling it. I find that since beta, AR is easier.
  6. I created a little guide for people that learn through pictures. Enjoy. http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3171145.html#Post3171145
  7. That's too bad. In beta I was able to do that.
  8. What's the point of designating it then? Simple example. Start quick mission, and active pause it. Select A/G and SOI TGP Press China Hat Aft Long. = TGP slews to steer point. Now move TGP to something next to steer point and mark it (TMS For Long). You should be able to cycle between steer point and your mark by China Hat For / Aft long. Can you do this?
  9. In beta it used to work. Now it doesn't... To create SPI = TMS For Long. China Hat For long = slew to SPI China Hat Aft long = slew to steer point. In beta I could easily slew from one to another without problems (Quick Mission Easy Georgia Summer) Now when I create SPI and move target pod to somewhere else, pressing China Hat For Long does nothing. If I press China Hat For short - it zooms. So mapping works. But it doesn't slew to SPI. Anyone else having same problem?
  10. Torrents start slow and pickup speed quite a bit. Currently seeding at ~250kb
  11. you can do loops and cuban 8s without any problem. Just learn how to maintain E. Obviously this is WITHOUT drag handing under wings.
  12. I'm still here and will look at trk once life slows down a bit. That should happen this weekend.
  13. You're not flying a stable platform....
  14. yes! 1,000,000 dollars! per KB!
  15. Here's the next stage. 39M/sec crosswind. That's 75 knots. Unfortunately, after many tries I still haven't brought my bird safely on a ground. Maybe someone here will have a better luck :D Bad_weather_bad dayP10.miz
  16. I tried to replay your track in beta4 and you cratered few feet away from the runway. I think replays are not cross-beta comparable. LOL. It sure wasn't pretty but you're safe on a ground. Nice use of engine power to slow descent. Not sure how to help you....you should be able to download my mission and remove rain.... When you click link on a forum, it downloads the track file to specified location. Place it in //dcs a-10c beta/missions/tracks. Then start the sim and click "replay" on main menu. That sure was a hard landing (shock absorbers cried there for a moment) but your tires didn't explode. Wow. I haven't laughed so much in a while. Cunning approach there :D That does give me an idea of next "silly" challenge. Drifting in A10. Too bad you busted tires during it. Nicely done. You planted her safe and sound. Next challenge you say?
  17. Quick AR mission refuel.miz
  18. And here's my track. It took a few tries.... SimwindP5.trk
  19. Alright. It seemed that was too easy. (Or we have too many Hotel Sierra or Sierra Hotel pilots here) Next mission is the same thing except weather is +5 knots. Tolerance on side-way movement during touchdown is not as lenient and will cause a burst tire. Good luck. That was a heck of an approach! But touchdown was very nice. It seems landing under that angle will be useful in next +5 knots attempt. Why not upload it to this forum? And no, it's not normal for mission editor to be slow. My main top bar doesnt work, but I assume that's due to beta status The only man that silenced horn! Good rudder kick in the last moment. I noticed it in a track. A little bounce but it's all good. Landed safely. Nicely done. It seemed almost too easy. Bad_weather_bad dayP5.miz
  20. There is a reason for a wind speed limit on a crosswind landings. And all of us are HOTEL SIERRA pilots here so here's a moderate difficulty challenge. Land on a runway without breaking anything. Simple enough, right? Post your track as proof of your HOTEL SIERRA status :D Here's a mission. Runway 11 Winds are from 171 at 56knots. Crosswind limit exceeded by 21 knots! It doesn't have to be pretty...see my tracks as prove of that. :D And always enjoy and have fun! Bad_weather_bad day.zip mytrack.zip
  21. Yes, very bright. Return structurally unsafe aircraft without telling mechanic about little "boo-boo" so that next person can die in it.
  22. I have my wings with radiator. Lets just keep it at that.
  23. Exactly.
  24. Does GBU12 have proxi fuze? What was fuze arm time set to? There should be ability to set arm-fuze so that when it leaves rails and arms fuze, your aircraft will be far enough distance that malfunctioning fuze will not destroy own aircraft. I'm speaking of reality here, not this sim.
