Could anyone please instruct me on how to change the cockpit field of view in flaming cliffs 2? I have a TrackIR 3 and I'm unable to zoom out to see the entire cockpit and instruments such as the RWR and the gear, flaps settings and trim settings? :(

I assume you are flying the F-15C or A-10A right? If that's the case, try flying one of the Russian aircrafts Su-27 or the mig-29.

Thanks for the replies guys and for clearing my doubts... but my question is (for fun's sake) Are those Russian pilots whom you have contact with telling the truth? because I remember reading in a World War 2 book about a captured German general (who fought on the eastern theatre and who was interviewed by the US after US seized control of Germany) saying that "Whatever that has been written about Russia is nonsense". This was said in relation to Germans' underestimating the strength of the Red Army in the number of battalions they had and subsequently perishing to the Red Army. Hi all. I just want to know why the R-27EA is not added in LOFC2 to aircraft like the Su-27/33. Is it because these aircraft are not capable of carrying them in real life or is it just that its not modeled in the game. I believe the R-27EA came in the original Lock On.

You can't play or take control of the aircrafts during training as they are videos and not track files. The best thing you could do is to re-create the training on the mission editor and use it as training missions. If i remember correct, there are some training missions in the 'missions' option on the opening screen on the sim though they don't have the voice over as in training vids. All you could do is memorize the training vid procedures and follow them in the training missions.

Sounds simple... Let me try it when I get back home. Thanks for the info. I tried one of the mods available on lockonfiles.com for R-77 on Su-27 and it worked like a charm... but looks like with your way I can add any missile to to any aircraft... Cool... :D :pilotfly:

Do any of you guys have a a pylon editor mod for LOFC:2 like there was for Lock On 1.02. If not is there any way that I can edit some file in LOFC2 to get the R-77 or the R-33 missile added to the SU-27 and SU-33 because the R-27ER is just absolute crap.

I wish they could model the MiG-25 or MiG-31 for DCS in the future. That would really be awesome but I guess that there might be a lot of classified data on it. Hence there may not be a chance of it being made. Again, it really would be cool to fly the fastest fighter jet in world. Wouldn't it?:pilotfly:

Re: Wow, never expected so many replies but thanks everyone for the recommendations...however, looking at the various posts, some of you guys suggest to change both the CPU and the graphics card. Is that the best idea? or is changing the graphics card a good solution?. If getting a new graphics card gives me 40fps i'll be happy. if not, then i'll have to wait to change my computer. @ EtherealN: if its best to get a new computer.... what can i do for now to get a manageable frame rate in my 8400GS card. if any at all? Hi, I'm getting very low FPS on LOFC 2, sometimes as low as 12 or 13 and a max of 20-25 :(. I think its because of my graphics card, a 512MB nvidia 8400GS, which is pretty old. is it the graphics card or something in my system specs. My Specs are: AMD Athlon X2 5000+ 2.6Ghz, ASUS MN268AM motherboard, nvidia 512MB Geforce 8400GS, 2GB DDR2 RAM @800Mhz. 250GB HDD, 19" monitor running at 1440x900@60hz. if its the graphics card what card should i buy? I'm limited on budget, so anything from $100-$150 would be fine. Any suggestions? Thanks, Glen.
