Hey, I'm not into this software development business. So I don't understand most of it. So when you mention integration into 1.3.0 and stuff, I read it as a another delay. I'm into stock markets and shit. For me, everything starts and ends in a day. ;)
-
What do you mean by ongoing integration into 1.3.0? I thought you or one of the other LS devs said MiG-21 core is separate from EDGE? What is this integration? Any idea as to how long it will take? Honestly, I'm getting real tired about the constant delays...

That doesn't change the fact that the news is utterly disappointing.

Thank guys. I guess I must've accidentally hit the prepare mission button and forgot about it. All green now! :pilotfly:

P & I next to weapons on DSMS page I have the exact same problem as described above. Some background first as to what happened. Initially, I set up a mission to practice using dumb bombs. Then opened the same mission in mission editor and just changed the loadout to use mavericks and practice using Mark points. Saved the mission under a different name and hit fly. I have no idea how to correct this and found no mention on how to correct it in the manual (maybe I was looking at the wrong portion). I tried reloading the DSMS as mentioned in this thread but I still get the same error or should I first land and then try a repair or reloading DSMS or something like that? Can any of the A-10C experts help me with this please? I've also attached screenshots and a track. It's the latest public release. No mods used. A-10C DSMS Error.trk

Lalt+9 disengages autopilot but the plane will be left in trimmed mode that the autopilot had prior to disengaging. You have to manually trim the aircraft back to neutral position after that.

Watch this.. This is what happened last time.

Can a Lenovo y510p run DCS?

Don't buy a laptop to run a sim like DCS. Better to go with a desktop. You will get a more powerful desktop system for the money invested in the laptop. -

For me, the highlight of the event was the post and pre-match banter and messages on chat . It was more fun than flying and fighting itself. Thanks to the event organizers and the rest of the guys for showing up. It was a great evening and I'm glad that I attended it. I sure do hope ED can get their act together with multiplayer so that more events like this can be conducted in a trouble free manner. My track file proves this I guess because what you described is exactly what happened to me  https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Byz6KtaffExWdzMwcU5DZnpKcFE/edit?usp=sharing -
You never really support your missiles. You just fire the missile and turnaround. The missiles are never going to hit that way.

Hi Flankerator, Callsign: Kunz Coalition: Blue Airbase: Batumi Aircraft: MiG-29S SA Forum: Kunz Thanks. -
Are you using the Open Beta (version 1.2.8.) with the latest update or is it the latest stable version 1.2.7? Also, are the Visual C++ libraries up to date? What other modules do you have? If so, are they running fine? Did you make any hardware change recently (CPU, mobo, RAM?) and as stated above, did you enter any activation key when trying to play a mission with the P-51D? The reasons I ask the above questions is because I have almost all modules installed (including the P-51D) with no problems whatsoever and my system is a pale comparison to what you have ;)
-
Your rig seems good enough but you forgot to mention the amount of RAM you have. 6GB is minimum but my guess is you have more than that. Could you please let us know what installation procedure you did follow as it may help us in helping you.

If you look at your photo again, it shows that the hat clip is selected as the target. Try changing it back to the Trackclip pro. I think Eddie has mentioned this as well

Although it has a poor safety record in India (mostly due to lack of spares), you must remember that India was/is the largest operator of the MiG-21 outside of Russia, almost 600 aircraft and some of them still fly. Over five decades of service. Not many countries/organizations can manage a huge fleet like that.
-
Well, I think otherwise..it's not impossible.
-
It maybe made for that but whether it succeeds or not is a different matter.
-
Yes, but the question is "how many miles" is a "few miles". That will differ from person to person. Look at the MiG-31, it had the most sophisticated radar of its time and I'm pretty sure those ruskies will have something similar for this day and age or the future. So, it's probable that they'll find a way to find the B-2 with the radar from a considerable distance. Also, the B-2's have to get through the vast SAM network Russia has. If the B-2's are going to fly without escorts as GG says, better still!!!! Agreed!
-
Yes, a very interesting case. Don't you think that with MiG-41's speed and probable height advantage, that its missiles will reach much faster than the B-2's escorts missiles? Not only that, the MiG's maybe carrying fire and forget missiles, so they just might fire and turn away too. Also, since this MiG is an interceptor, it might only fire on the B-2's (if they know where they are) and leave the escorts out of the fight completely. All this is wishful thinking, I know. In real life, it will be totally different. We can only theorize all this shit :music_whistling:
-
Damn... a MiG-41...WOW!

Nope, Nada! :noexpression:

As mentioned earlier in this thread somewhere, can Leatherback Simulations please consider releasing an closed beta for the indiegogo backers or at least a paid for beta. We have waited too long for this bird.

I can't understand the reasoning behind this no EOS elevation scan? Do the devs have reliable info that the MiG-29 does not have EOS elevation scan? If they do, why can't they share it with us since we are often asked for proof? Anyway, this was posted on the forums a long time back but I'll post it again. KOLS / Izdeliye 13Sh / OEPS-29 OKB: NPO Geophyizika Fitted to the MiG-29A, KOLS is a combined IRST/LR device. All aspect device. Acquires targets independently, or with data input from the radar. Can detect a non-afterburning fighter head-on at a range of 12-18km. The collimated laser can provide ranging data from 200-6500m accurate to 3m. Scanning limits are ±30° azimuth, -15°/+30° elevation. Chart showing KOLS operational modes from MiG-29 combat employment manual Operates in several scanning modes. In large FOV mode scanning is ±30° azimuth, +30°/15° elevation. In small FOV mode scanning limits are ±30° azimuth and ±15° elevation. Close combat mode scans +16° to -14° by 4°. Lock-on mode scans 6° x 4°. Target tracking rate is up to 30°/sec. KOLS is able to reject flares only if the combined signature of the flares is less than the target. Targets are displayed on the same display as the radar. At least from this public Internet data, it shows that the MiG-29 has a operational EOS elevation scan. How can ED just remove it? Really can't understand the reasoning. -
If that's the case, then I guess you have not flown against a competent Russian driver as yet. I've seen ER shots taken nearly at Rmax and get hits against F-15's (maybe not in the current version as it stands)
