1) - download this updater https://updates.digitalcombatsimulator.com/files/DCS_updater_64bit.zip 2) unpack it via winzip, winrar, 7zip or similar. 3) There is application called DCS_updater.exe - put it into folder where you want to install 2.5 - E.G "C:\DCS_25" 4) Run commander and locate the folder. In my case I will use command: "cd C:\DCS_25" 5) Run command "DCS_updater.exe update @openbeta" 6) wait until the instalation is finished. It is about 25 gigs of data to download. 7) Once downloaded and "installed", run command: "DCS_updater.exe repair" - this command will download and create the bin folder. 8) Run the game via executable file in game core folder.

I don't know how long you play DCS but maybe you remember the old flight model from LOMAC, so called "SFM" It just was the lookup table and a lot of things was heavily scripted. But for nowday level of entertainment simulation it is just not enough. I remember that every aircraft had 2 models. One for ground moving and one for flying. It was very annoying, specially in crosswind. Just when you touched the ground, all flight dynamics gone. So I wonder to know if anything has been changed in radar modeling.

Thank you for reply. Yes, a lot of things can be pre-calculated like it is and the result will be the same. - it just saves a lot of CPU power. I just wonder to know how realistic the radar is. And I hope the Mig-21 will once work with the RSBN/PRMG becaons that are saved in Beacons.lua which is located in the map folder. E.G DCS\Mods\terrains\CaucasusBase. - But this shoul'd be in Mig-21 forum. Once more, thank you all for your response.

This is more like general questions about all modules in DCS. I've found that some systems are not "simulated" but only "imitated" E.G. L-39C module is "simulating" RSBN because it works with becaons located "physically" in the map. BUT Mig-29 module is "imitating" RSBN because it works with beacons that are saved in the module so they are just "virtually" located in the map. I guess in most modules the systems like IFF, RWR and radar systems are just "imitated" and not simulated. But that is just my opinion because I have no data about this. To the radar imitating - I mean they just imitate spike detection based on target distance, "attitude" of target, stealth factor e.t.c. But they are not simulating the real radio wave beam, the ability of the material to absorb or reflect the radiation, the angle of the reflected beam from the surface of the aircraft, e.t.c.... I would like to know how it really is in DCS. Thanks to all answers. I'm sorry if my text is incomprehensible. I'm not a good Englishman.

List of bugs that I've found in SU-33 beta

Don't know. As I wrote, I have no problems with controls. Instead of remapping, delete vlohe input folder. -
List of bugs that I've found in SU-33 beta
AJaromir replied to AJaromir's topic in Su-33 for DCS World
I have no problems with the controls. Just try to backup config input folder located in C:\users\name of user\saved games\dcs\config\input\su-33 for su-33 and remap controls. I really have no problems with any controls. All is working fine. I usually have approach speed 240-250 kph IAS To enable rudders you have to turn on nose wheel steering by LAlt+Q I use HOTAS Warthog, MFD Crosswind and TrackIR5 -
List of bugs that I've found in SU-33 beta
AJaromir replied to AJaromir's topic in Su-33 for DCS World
Thx all for reply. To the Fuel probe - it is retracting slowly even I did not refuel. Is that propper behaviour? I'found one more bug: The Fuel indicator on the right of HUD is not working. I will try to make a track. But I think the problem is on my side. I catch the rope on 4th or 5th attemp bud don't know why. And I am reporting bugs because it is still beta and I want to see fixed this problems in stable version. Thx to all. -
Hi, I've tried SU-33 in MP and found theese bugs. 1. Arresting hook is not possible to control when gears and flaps are in retracted position. 2. Refueling probe is retractning too long. It takes 2-5 minutes until it retracts. Edit: I've found maybe it's not a bug but a feature. 3. Reflection of the landing light is still visible when the gears are up. At this point I am not sure if it's bug or not. 4. SU-33 can not take off from stationary carrier or can but with problems when it have more than 50% of fuel aboard. 5.When you don't land directly on arresting ropes, you will not catch any. I mean, when I have touchdown a bit before them. Thank you for your understanding and I wish you a nice day. Edit: found new bug: 6. fuel quantity indicator on the right side of HUD is not working. Bugs found by others: 7. The chalks on the Kuznetsov do not work 8. Pressing "U" at any launch station results in Su-33 teleporting to the first forward starboard launch station. - while playing MP this causes the 2 aircrafts colision because they are "teleported" to the same position. 9. Su-33 max take of weight appears to be significantly lower then the reported weight. Take off above 54,000 lbs is not possible.

Yes, there is a lot of options. I gave just an example.
-
Good day! Please, is possible to add more options into rearm menu? For example add more fuel sliders for each fuel tank and have one slider for total fuel. In FW-190D and BF-109K add option to change content of MW-50 tank to fuel. Thank you and have a nice day!
-
O.k. It is not bug. I am sorry to all. It was just a coincidence that made the impression that there was a bug in the game.
-
Did you have wing tank switch turned off for whole time and did you start with 100% of fuel, please? I am going to test ir right now. Yesterday I did not have enough time.
-
Yes but if you never deplete the wingtip tanks (wing tanks switch in off position) Then the fuel in wingtip tanks will not be consumed so the indicator will never fall bellow 600L. I will make some more tests.
-
Tried in multiplayer, game version 1.5.7.7741 When flying with wing tanks switch off and there is fuel in wingtip tanks, then the fuel is not consumed. You can see on fuel indicator the fuel amount will decrease to 600L and stop there. It will start drop again only when the wingtip tanks are depleted.

Good day. It is over year old bug but it was never fixed. In SU-25 and SU-25T the СЕРИЯ КМГУ-МБД release mode is not working properly with multiple ejection rack. (MBD-2-67U - 4 FAB-100) In manual is written "MER munitions are released 0.3 seconds apart, according to the total quantity specified by the salvo size switch." But it is always released all at once. I remember years ago it was working properly. But it was in old FC2 and I think only in SU-25A

Do you have turned on laser rangefinder?
-
Hi! I have noticed that when I play viggen, my net traffic is much higher than at any other module and my connection is overloaded. This also happens in singleplayer. Is there any bug tracking telemetry in viggen or something like that? If yes, is possible to turn it off? Thank you for answer.

[RESOLVED] Yaw instability or SPAK is not my friend...
AJaromir replied to Goblin's topic in Bugs and Problems
I use MFG Crosswind rudder pedals. With even supersmall input the yaw is very unstable. -
Well, afer some attemps I just found the right red light is flashing when I am slower than tanker and the left orange light is flashing when i am too close to tanker. Don't know what means when they are steady and what means green light. When all of them flashing, that means my tanks are full.
-
Yes, I mean that lights. Thank you!
-
Good day, question is in the topic name. I was not able to find any information about that in game manual, internet nor here in forum so if someone knows, share it, please. Thank you!

Bluelight, the problem is the 1.5 uses only 2 CPU cores or threads max. Just wait for version 2.5. There is a lot of big optimalization upgrades. 2.5 will be better because it will be upgraded 2.0 which right now have much better optimalisation than 1.5 I have 1080 and in 2.0 it have load up to 95% But the bigger problem is just CPU load which is limited by game core engine.
-
Clepper, try to turn off Depth of field and mirrors if they are and then write if it helped. Theese 2 things are the biggest FPS eater in game. Also what is your CPU?

Colliding with own bombs during a divebombing attack, bug?
AJaromir replied to Spacehamster's topic in DCS 2.9
Yeah, that should be right. I made a mistake. (which I should not make as the proffesional technician of automatic measuring and control systems) But his G meter shows near 0 (at bomb release point it is -0,4), which is far under any safe limits. His vertical acceleration was simply faster than the bomb's was. I can calculate it quite accurate. But I am too busy to do it now. -
Colliding with own bombs during a divebombing attack, bug?
AJaromir replied to Spacehamster's topic in DCS 2.9
Bogey. That is not true. There is no dependency on attitude. If the aircraft speed and vector is not changing, then the all forces are balanced and there is no acceleratolion. So you can not read something else than 1G. In the last tacwiev video u can see that he after bomb release instantly pulled G. That is why he did not fly straight. Edit : Of course I mean speed and vector relative to the ground. Not indicated airspeed.
