  1. Aw yeah. Check out the scenery! Statue of Liberty, baby!
  2. Some of us actually remember "flying" that. And how much better fs 2 was.
  3. On to page 143...
  4. Make it stop!

  6. Per the rules, your hand is folded for stringing your bet. ;)
  7. "Ward, don't you think you were a little hard on the beaver last night?"
  8. I have a real mixed opinion on that McDonald's case. On the one hand, I completely agree that you should not be able to sue someone for providing you *precisely* what you expected and then hurting yourself due to your own clumsiness. Case closed and dismissed with prejudice. That said...it's not like she burned her finger and made ka-ching! noises expecting to get rich. She got burned pretty badly and after 2 years of treatments she pretty much asked/sued for $20K to cover the medical expenses and lost wages. Ignoring for the moment that it was her fault and not McD's...I can feel some sympathy. It escalated when McD's offered $800. The true lunacy lies with the jury that made the huge award (later chopped down to a still far too high (in that it was above $0) amount). Coffee needs to be brewed at 190 / 93 degrees. If you place that between your legs and pull the top off...best of luck to ya.
  9. A few years back, my wife suggested we go see 'Brokeback Mountain'. My response (after holding back an "F no.") was "I don't watch cowboy movies. I don't watch love stories. I don't watch movies about gay people. Why the hell would I spend money to watch a gay cowboy love story?" Although..it's a pity the sequel never got made...
  10. I'm guessing some prefer the lighter touch of the Cougar stick's buttons (S1/S2/S3)

    Beer

Oh. I forgot about the dark side. Schwarzbier. One of my favorites: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/144/96

    Beer

Drinking it "ice cold" shows the fallacy of that argument at least as it applies to you. :D The time you spent down here must've rotted your brain. :D The mass market brews are engineered to have as little flavor as possible so as not to offend the masses trying to get drunk. Chilling it "ice cold" removes whatever flavor the brewing process didn't. :D I enjoy a wide range of beers...IPAs, ESBs, stouts, proper pilsners (Urqell). As for booze, I like bourbon and scotch...but the spirit of choice is a good tequila (read: Not jose cuervo....except for their family reserve line).
  13. I use a Logitech Clearchat Wireless headset. I only run the voice comms to it. I run game sounds through a set of desktop speakers. As to the headset....I can't recommend it. The sound quality is a bit off / hissy / staticy....and when I bought it I had to send it back to logitech 3 or 4 times before I got one that worked....(I'd have to look at my notes - I honestly don't remember if I sent 3 or 4 back to them for replacement)
  14. Hey Wilbur...is that a taco @ 1:18? :D
  15. Let me just say that it's a VERY bad time to forget about the inverted flight limitation when you're doing an inverted run 5' off the runway. Fortunately I was doing 320 knots and the relight was easy. ;) I hadn't flown A-10 for a while and was messing around after doing Frazer's FPS test. Heheheheh.
  16. In general... If you have just one HD (and it's an actual spinning HD), leave it to Windows. If you have just one drive and it's an SSD, disable and make sure you have enough physical RAM. If you have more than one HD, make a minimal sized swap on the boot drive, and ~ 1.5 times physical ram on the 2nd drive.
  17. You can also stall one engine with the right sort of snap roll. The wings can be snapped, too...from just aerodynamic loads with no weapons.
  18. That only makes the connection from the removable grip to the base. He's talking about the USB cable that runs from the base to the PC.
  19. Heh. Go back about 3-4 posts.
  20. He's known to walk around saying "Resistance is futile!"
  21. He copied the idea from me. :D Just get something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Duracell-Instant-Charger-Lithium-universal/dp/B002FU6KF2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1297347673&sr=8-1 You don't need that exact one - there's other options...It's nothing more than a rechargeable battery intended to be carried as a "backup power source" for your ipod, phone, whatever. You could (carefully) shorten the wires on the USB cable for the track clip and velcro this battery onto your headset or something. And before someone asks...because I know someone will....no, it will not cause a "surge" by plugging it into a battery pack. The headset, like your phone/ipod/whatever else with a USB plug is made to work off USB voltages. At a given voltage (USB voltage in this case) a device will only take as much power as it was designed to take at that voltage. If you had a battery that could deliver 5 trillion amps at 5 (? I honestly forgot now...I think USB is +5v/ground for power and 3.3 for signalling) volts...you'd still only have ~ 50ma or so flow through this headset.
  22. Or just go into the config screen, click on something under the controller in question and click 'load' at the top. You can read in the default config (as Nom said - the one without the {246236-12641-246-1346-34656} type thing in the name.
