Right! I love seeing people say it can't be done... then heatblur comes and implements it on day 1. This is absolutely possible. I am sure Heatblur would love to share this tech as they already said hey would share things to improve DCS as a whole (which is why they are the best)

ED. You need an option for the haze adjustment. It is way to saturated. There is a MOD that lowers it but is doesn't pass IP. It is WAY overpowered especially in VR.

You bought all those aircraft... then you should have plenty of miles... making them free. So ED kinda did make them free.

If the Reddit fix is not working... try uninstalling your desktop Oculus and then reinstall. Then follow same "fix" instructions. This worked for me after seeing someone else try it.

Same thing is happening to me... it happened even in 2D... If I delete all my "saved game" folder It works (Thank God I backed up my inputs lol)... up until I click "VR" in the settings menu. If I don't click that I am fine. The moment I click "launch in VR" or whatever that's called, it won't load, splash screen then nothing.

The war on terror just doesn't sound as exciting with the infantry units we have... Now if they were to improve to a more (please don't shoot me I am sure there are better examples) Call of duty-ish AI like infantry, THEN that would be fun. When the southern expansion does come out Desert Storm is going to be a blast as it was more of a vehicle on vehicle type war. Anyway, I think the southern part of Iraq should have been done first until the AI infantry improves...IMHO

Well Iraq was stated for 2024 (which they don't typically do unless they are pretty sure its going to be ready) so I would bet money Afghanistan isn't coming out until 2025 or later, I mean it wasn't even mentioned in the Beyond video. Which I think is a great decision IMHO.

I can't wait for the southern portion to be finished. Baghdad will hold me over until then!

I did learn the Hornet first and I do prefer that for A2G... but I prefer the F-16 in A2A. F-16 is also great at SEAD. I just am not a fan of the TGP. I am getting very good in the Viper... but I do have a question. When I am out of weapons... and I see a ground unit directly to my 9 o'clock and want to put a laser on it for my wingman, what would be the workflow to put that TGP on it quickly, aside from snowplow mode?

The only Carrier I want to see is the big E (and the Hiryu! lol)

I mean I am starting to figure it out... but CAS... I don't think its close to the Hornet. Again, in a no waypoint scenario (this is important), if we had 4 targets separated by a couple of miles and we had JDAMS... and lets say we both had a good idea where the enemy is. I would put money I could engage and destroy them in the Hornet way before you could in the Viper. (Same with the A-10 but that's for CAS so it doesn't count). Also, I don't understand what you mean by the AG to AA comment. Its one button in the 18.

TY! This is what I was afraid of though. Engaging one target and trying to quickly engage another following 6 steps can be a hell of a workload. Forget that my other weapon isn't a JDAM and its Rockets or something... I am going to panic lol. Hornet or A-10 it is MUCH quicker. I guess if that's how it is I better get to practicing!

OK, well how about this. What would be the best workflow for CAS without waypoints? Can someone provide an example? More than one target... lets say 5 miles apart.

100%. Secondary Target of Opportunity is horrible in this jet. If you already did the ole easy waypoint/slew your curser/main mission and then you see a SAM afterwords... you cant exactly pivot to new threat that easy.

Vietnam, Pacific WWII, and a Dynamic Campaign. (Obviously F-4 but that's already coming).

An absolute crap ton of GBU 39/53's says it will be just fine....

I am 100% OK with paying a premium for a Vietnam map...
