  1. You guys had a very nice thing going but this warping around has absolutely ruined the AA aspect of it all. I can no longer do support in the air. It's just damn near impossible. AG is the only thing left because I'm at least shooting at a stationary target that won't warp as soon as I launch a missile at it. It is absolutely hideous right now and it's a real damn shame.

  3. Cobra, let's get this straight: You guys have absolutely nothing to apologize for. You are by far one of the most competent and trustworthy 3rd party developers out there, unlike some other ones that are unsure of what they are doing at all. When you guys make an announcement, or when you give us updates, they are actually updates, they are actually worth the time to look at your posts. A delay by you, just means that when you do give us something, it's going to be worth it. So cut yourself some slack. Nobody is going to get pissy at you guys. And if they are, give me their names.
  4. If you have certain options turned on, you can see the health bar in the F-10 map of units. It's one of the options on the top in the F-10 map. But you will need to be able to see enemies on the map, so server side options have to be changed for that.
  5. Jammer on the A-10C does NOT affect much of anything except the shoot range at which something can fire at you. Jammer off, you get shot at from further away, jammer on you can sneak in a bit closer before they fire. It's meant to give you a few extra miles of safety, but not much at all. The jammer will turn on and SHOULD stay on for the entire duration that something has you HARD LOCKED. As soon as that thing stops hard locking you, the jammer stops doing it's thing. This is why you are seeing that issue. So against Russian fightgers, the jammer is more effective in that if they want to lock you up they have to hard lock you. If an F-15 wants to lock you, he can do so as a soft lock, where by your jammer will be pretty much ineffective for a continuous cycle. PS: THIS jammer does absolutely jack all about missiles in flight as far as I was last told. There are jammers out there that do all different types of things against a variety of different things, but this one is not that kind of jammer. AFAIK and as far as I've been told. Feel free to correct me though, with links/ proof.
  6. There is no damage model you speak of. It runs off of hit points or a percentage of health left. You can't "disable" a tank, you have to absolutely kill it... it sucks, but it's the way it is.
  7. Flying high makes it stupidly harder to dodge missiles, and maneuvering becomes more sluggish. There is no reason to fly high. There are only SOME scenarios where flying really high will help. Ultimately everybody has a lot more fun flying low, and hiding, then popping up close to a target in hopes of a merge and then it's a knife fight in a phone booth. But hey, if you want to fly high and be a target for the world to see and shoot at, be our guest, we would love to kill you. The rest of us will stay wherever we damn please, thank you very much.

  9. I actually second the upping of SAM threats a tiny bit. Just Shilkas was a bit boring. At least a Strela with a TOR would make things a bit more challenging. Perhaps not in ALL places, but at certain locations. Would make planning a bit more interesting when prioritizing based on threats.
  10. Zaelu, stop. He asked for those exact conditions, and those exact conditions were provided for him. We weren't talking about no reds being on. He asked SPECIFICALLY about outnumbered teams. And he got EXACTLY what he was asking for. Now admins are working on a better system for the next round, so just look forward to that and we can take it from there.

  14. Admins, quick suggestion if you think it's necessary for the next Blue flag OP. Whitelisting people on the server? I'm all for people signing up to join the OP, but I figure it would be beneficial for people to have to apply, and agree to server rules, and then be white listed to get in. This makes sure that people who sign up for blue flag, understand and acknowledge the rules. No more warnings for JTACs moving vehicles illegally and all that sweet jazz. Anybody who breaks those rules doesn't get a warning, but kicked out. Could be a bit extreme.... but just an idea is all.

  17. This thread has turned into bitching and complaining. Red has their high time moments and they recap everything blue takes, then blue wakes up and retake everything Red took, it's been back and forth ever since. Ya'll need to relax. At the moment nobody really has taken any serious advantage over the other or else we would see a nearly all blue or nearly all red map. It's been 50-50 every single time I take a look at it. Less whining and cheating, more flying and pew pew please.

  20. There is an AWACS specific mission in the campaign called an eye for an eye. It's a great overall campaign. That video was just my wingman and myself trying to do something new. Doing the same thing over and over again on the 104th is just boring. Gotta find your own fun. Sometimes that also means walking a fine line with their server rules. In anycase they no longer have AWACs in their server, unless they run a special weekend mission.

  23. Been barking up that tree for a while bud... The most logical answer (though not official) that I got on this subject is that two things are happening. Several skeets would congregate on one armor like a whole battalion of deployed marines to a single stripper. This obviously causes a lot of skeets to go for an already dead tank that would otherwise be capable of taking out a potentially viable target in its view. The second thing that is happening, is that a skeet (at least in the DCS World) is not guaranteed to kill an armor. Instead, they end up damaging some of them, but not completely killing them. And as we all know, in DCS a tank is either alive up to 0.01% of its armor or dead if lower. So there will be several tanks that will continue on while fully operational as if nothing ever happened even though they did get hit and are sitting at 30 or 20% health. I have observed and reported that there are areas where the skeets hit under a tank, as if they go right through it in multiple areas but that was brushed off as either my track being broken, or point two (see above). I gave up on this matter. There was a patch a long time ago when they worked brilliantly (low FPS aside) then one day something got changed and it just remained that way. I haven't really used the 97's in well over a year since all that, but I know you can still get some decent hits if you have enough luck... PS: Your elevation will bring different results as well. (HOF I mean, but you obviously know that)
  24. Just a little joke from a drawing I did a few years ago. I suck at drawing so I traced over and improvised over other content. I know it's an F-15 but it's applicable to the F-14 when the two player per aircraft mode is complete. Just imagine the carnage and confusion that will ensue. Hehehehe. Can't wait.
