Most cost effective rudders
Succellus replied to Lonecrow66's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Unfortunatly there s not many players. Saitek Simped CH Very old gameport based which are a problem but better than CH TM rudders that you will only find on E-bay and probably will need some refurbish. I think the best would be TM RCS + Hall sensors but its have too many "IFs" Tm really blew it not launching RCS USB, they gave the market to the opfor. My Saiteks Pro are on the mail i ll get them tomorrow i choosed them upon testimonials and sex appeal and price, cant speak more than that about them. -

TrackIR 5 Problems with Upward Pitch Movement
Succellus replied to siefex's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
This!! You can try 2 fixes: 1) Reposition yourself, your monitor and your camera so its in a better spot and doesn t loose track dots or 2) play with settings so you don t need so much movements to achieve the same Or some of the 2. I know i had to do minor tweaks on both until i felt confortable. -
Warthog throttle back and firmware 20
Succellus replied to Blackrat_UK's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Did you pay above 1220 USD for it and waited more than 2 month for it, and those 2 month are in Brazilian territory, not waiting on a queue fot it to take off from store. Will TM refund 200 Euro of trip ? And they better send me the exact serial or i ll in no end trouble, and it ll end up under some steam asfalt compressor truck, do you think if it happend TM will assume the fault even if i warn them ? Or sell me solely the throttle ? Under such conditons, would you you wait for 2.0 or would you go plug it in with 1.8 that you know doesn t prevent squat ? Don t be so quick to judge others position when you don t know the PITA they pass. I know there maybe the Mobo possibility, but hell, i ve lived all my life without it, i can wait some week in the sake of hope. Its a 2 year warranty agaisnt defect, 2 to 3 weeks won t kill me (i hope). -

Well this poll is nice but we see we are constraint by info that gives the can do and no can do. Being very optimistic, if ED team has many options for us (many = at least 2) why dont do a poll with the possibilities and the comunity could choose. If there s no possibilities, what about when DCS A10 is released, why don t annouce what it will be ? Letting us speulate on F16/F18 and others that can not be at this time is a bit cruel. :smilewink: -

Dynamic Campaign Discussion Thread
Succellus replied to winchesterdelta1's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Actually yes i would pay 150 usd for a good DC, especially if it integrate all DCS airplanes and turn DCS to a real Digital Combat Simulator. As i said at least for me, DCS will reach probably some kind of saturation when a FF hit the shelves. There aren t so many craft i can fill my head with all system etc. So a DC will keep me playing, not a new aircraft (after one or 2 more) I know very well the Civ. version is a Spinoff. of the Mil version. But our side will never see anything mil. grade, so bringing Mil. grade aint a valid counter argument. But afaik, pilot still have to watch flot, obey order from command center, plan multitask missions, integrate missions, find the best way to achieve goal and come back home with minimum surprise and ho hell factors, and decide if risk with new threats are still worth to go on or run back home, go back to drawning board or not. All that in a constantly moving and live warzone. If i remember well Military were using janes f18, doom and others tools to train recruits or whatever. Why not a batlefield simulator whith heavy hability to tweak missions ? Test personnel reaction to new imputs, tactical and strategical reactions and doctrine knowledge, (only heavily spraying and praying here) who knows. Unless i m wrong, all that is in a DC. I understand that to achieve that is very hard for Mil. Also, i don t think Civ. audiance will be offended to be used as rat lab. All we need is something fun, that gives us a sense of continuity that mission editors (branching or not)uterly fails to give, with a sense of being there that mission editor only partially give us, and a minimum of freedom, that at least BS afaik (i haven t played it much) didn t gave us. If its mil grade or not is not relevant in this case. And if i remember well Military were using janes f18, doom and others tools to train recruits or whatever. Why not a batlefield simulator whith heavy hability to tweak missions ? Test personnel reaction to new imputs. Same way mil sim usually have the hability to induce failures at will to train pilots, we don t have this in DCS, we could have a DC way below Mil. interest. -

LOL right, of course they will, your paying for the PCB. I too had to buy a PCB and a POV button which broke after a fall, pots ... And they where quick on sending stuff, thats wasn t the question, question was repair a problem while under warranty and preventive work. So far it seems thy are picking up speed. -
