  1. Same here, no laser functionality on Cold Started / Auto Started aircraft. Apache's use of weapons is dead for now. Hopefully a hotfix in the works. George is also broken... He refuses to fire on anything.
  2. The image / IHADSS is too high... Just imagine the real IHADSS assembly being pushed up from the correct position directly in front of your eye to the are in front of your eyebrow. Just need a way to lower the entire IHADSS assembly back down into the proper position in front of your eye in VR.
  3. The controls are standard in the DCS Apache module... Just search for "DAP". The controls move the digital image projected onto the glass of the IHADSS. I have them mapped to a rotary dial on my throttle but any pushbutton would work.. The digital image moves really slowly so you'll need to push the same button a lot to get it to actually start moving the projected data / image. When doing so.... pay close attention to the Cuing Dots as they relate to the center crosshair of the IHADSS. They will not move together. Additionally, the weapons, specifically the gun, will not shoot in relation to the adjusted cross hair in the IHADSS (Bore sighting does not resolve this). Thanks for your interest! SunDevilPilot
  4. In an effort to resolve both the Night Vision Goggle image and the data within the IHADSS being displayed too high in my VR Goggles (Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest Pro) I have mapped the DAP controls. The DAP controls do seem to work for the IHADSS, as the display data does move towards the bottom of the display when I make adjustments. However.... here is the issue. The Boresight Function does not seem to adapt to the change in display location. Additionally, the Cueing Dots (Page 82 of the DCS Apache Manual) do not move along with the other IHADSS display data sorta confirming the lack or the bore sighting function actually working Not sure it this is a bug or a work in progress. The DAP function would be excellent to have as it resolved the alignment issue for the IHADSS. SunDevilPilot
  5. The mounting plate comes from MonsterTechUSA. Both the Virpil Warbird and CM3 bases use the same mounting plate. You can get it grey like mine or black. Great company with some really nice mounting solutions (just a fan, not associated with them).
  6. Issue not resolved. Doesn’t work for me.
  7. You in VR. Changing the setting makes no difference on mine…. Tried -15 also and nothing. .
  8. Despite changing the helmet ring angle in the special tab it doesn’t seem to adjust in game (in VR). The BS2 worked fine… Is this feature not implemented yet?
  9. The avia cams…. The ones that were installed by the factory.
  10. I ran my CM3, 200mm Extension and Alpha grip for a while with no springs and just the drag clutches ever so slightly on.. My precision for hovering went way down. Went back to the light springs, the soft center cam and no dampers. I read in the Apache DCS manual the helicopter does provide resistance like the springs would do.. Only, on the real helicopter the feedback can move with the stick when it is force trimmed. I fly way better with the springs active. I too was hoping for more with the clutches in the CM3.
  11. No need for the full left or full right pedal. Especially if you went to zero collective…. There would be minimal torque with no collective. Leave some collective in there…. It will roll quite easily.
  12. There is also a little rubber spacer at the rear of the junction box to take some load off the clamp.. This spacer is just two stick on rubber feet I stuck together to make a little rubber block. The block is just wedged in there… no damage being done to the collective by sticking anything to it.
  13. Here it is with the weights. Just a note on the clamp. I have some 1/8” rubber under the clamp / around the collective to give the clamp some clearance on the friction adjustment for the throttle. With the rubber on there the clamp can scoot back onto the tapered collar near the main box giving some clearance. You can just see the rubber strips between the clamp jaws and the collective arm in one of the photos.
  14. In addition to the stabilizer you see in my initial photo I have 8 ounces of Archery Stabilizer Weights on the end…. This resulted in a perfect balance. You can buy the weights from Amazon. They look like washers that screw onto an all thread stud.
  15. I did a counterbalance mod using a Ram brand clamp, a one inch ball and the counterbalance from my compound bow. Perfectly neutralizes the weight of the collective. I loosened the tension to almost nothing when I installed the counterbalance. Friction is in no way needed to hold the collective in position with this setup, friction is just used to as a function of preference. I highly recommend the modification.
