  1. The TGP can be on. But after you are done marking your targets. Press TMS Aft long. That will move your SPI to your steerpoint. When you approach your targets, cycle through your marks. And check that you can see the SPI line extend from the marks as you cycle them.
  2. Hijacking thread. Looking for a retailer in western Europe. Pref. in Sweden. Thx! :)
  3. MOAHAHAHAHAHA! (or something like that). After about 4 hours of testing i finally accomplished this exciting thingy. Here's how i did it (and got it working). 1. Point track on first tank. 2. TMS Right (to create mark A) 3. Slew to next tank. 4. TMS right to mark it as B (you don't have to redo point track) 5. Slew to third tank. 6. TMS right to mark it as C. 7. Switch STEER PT dial to MARK from FLT PLAN. 8. Select 3 GBU-38's. 9. Make sure you have M ARM ON and that you are in CCRP mode. 10. Make HUD SOI (coolie hat fwd short) 11. Make sure you can cycle marks with DMS forward short/aft. Select A. 12. When MAN release is displayed in the lower left part of the hud. HOLD DOWN Weapon release button until is released. 13. DMS forward short to cycle to mark B. 14. Hold down weapon release again. and continue to drop and cycle marks until everything is dropped and egress. Easy as pie! And no need to make a new fpl on the fly. Even though that method can be good if you have multiple arrays of targets. EDIT: Make sure SPI is at steerpoint!! (TMS AFT LONG) I can post a track if someone is interested.
  4. I've been reading this thread all day from work. Must say that i've laughed hard several times.. :) I've got the exact same problem as some of you. I've been trying to convince my girlfriend that i badly need a new HOTAS. The only response i had was the evil eye. After a while i remembered that a friend of mine wanted me to participate in GGN (Gotland Grand National, the worlds largest enduro race). I mentioned that to my girlfriend, that a new bike would cost me around 4000$ + equipment, fees and it is fairly possible that i may break a bone or two while racing. So it's alot safer to fly helicopter and airplanes from my computer at home.. And that made it! Now i can buy a new TW without hiding it from my girlfriend. win-win
  5. Yes, and you must set Radar/Barometric switch to radar if you are below 300m, or baro if you are above. It's located to the right of ALT/PITCH/BANK/ALT channel buttons. It's a small switch, keep it in the down position (radar alt). Then 'F' works.
  6. Make sure you use radar alt, switch on right lower panel. Press 'F' once you enable hover mode, and it will hold that altitude. You can check the ADI, on the right side is an orange arrow. When it's in the middle of the scale, it's on the correct altitude.
  7. Haha! I'm using 0 curve! And now i realize how stupid i am.. :) Gonna try 25 tonight, perhaps i don't have to curse like a maniac when trying to shoot rockets.. ;)
  8. The ADF part is not a necessity. You can skip it. The startup is pretty straight forward. I can't stand the boring checklists. They are only useful when you know the procedure, and want to be extra geeky. For a beginner, they are only making it worse imo. I learned it from youtube vids. So watch them, learn, and practice, practice and practice more. And after a while, you can do it in the dark while a beaver is chewing on your leg! :) If we meet again in the near future, i can guide you on TS. :) Good luck!
  9. Judging the activity on TS, the activity isn't that high. I'm still open for suggestions regarding squadrons! :) :joystick:
  10. My worst damage was both stub wings, and alot of panels all around the shark. Insane amounts of bullet holes aswell.. One engine only worked as intended, the other one went from 5-8 all the time. Was a nice challenge to land, but i made it home.. :)
  11. I have this issue as well... Really annoying...
  12. It's also annoying me, hope someone knows how to edit this.. :)
  13. I've never experienced this pitch up problem. I slow down, when at around 5kph in airspeed, (still have 5-10 degree nose up) i press auto hover. When the nose dips down to horizontal, i press and release trim again fast, to set a new hover point and the heli stays there. The other way i use is to slow down, when at 1-2kph, i pitch the nose down to horizontal, press auto hover, and she stays there. post a track and we can see what happens.
  14. Looks like a nice bunch of people. But i couldn't find anything about timezones, and what times they have squad missions.
  15. Ok, too bad it's 1.00. I only play 1.02.. :( But when/if you change your mind. I'd be happy to join up on your server! :)
  16. I'm 26yrs old from Sweden. I've played Black Shark for a couple of months now. I have played online quite alot, but often the other shark pilots fly on their own ninja-missions and the teamplay is zero. I'd like to find a squad with players that enjoy teamplay, use tactis and plan the assault. I'm in timezone GMT +1, so anything close to that works. A mixed BS and FC2 squad is fine as long as there are some active BS pilots. Cheers Dejjvid
  17. Can you code the laser with lua?
  18. It's saves you from flipping F/D on and off, AND trimming. It's like turning the lights off when you need light and light up a candle instead...
  19. There are many different styles of flying the shark. My preferred style is to press and hold the trim button everytime i move the cyclic. Sometimes when performing insane ninja-moves, i can keep the trim button down for 1-2min, after im done ninjaing, i just set desired pitch, bank and rudder and release trim, and the shark continues to fly in the new direction. Explained in steps: 1. Press trim button and keep it down. 2. Do your thing with the cyclic and/or rudder. 3. Release trim button 4.Return both cyclic and rudder to neutral position! (This is really important) I never use flight director, i simply don't have time to fly the bird manually, the workload gets to high in combat situations.
