  1. Here is a quick first look at the Dora. The full systems wring-out and tutorials will follow over the next month or two. DCS: A-10C Warthog - Combined Arms Mission DCS: A-10A Warthog- The Valley Campaign DCS: A-10C Warthog - Single Missions
  2. Just one more bump in case anybody is interested in the air-to-ground stuff starting at #19... Most of it is already covered in the On the Range videos but you can see the trial and error that went into it here. I'll be able to get one video a day up until they end at #25.
  3. This should answer your questions on the rockets:
  4. Recording of the series is essentially complete with weapons employment starting on episode 18. I still need to cut the last few together but the series should end around episode 25. I get the feeling looking at the stats that a lot of folks are judging the series based on the first video. These is a lot of detail on the aircraft systems and operation of the aircraft here so be sure to check them out if you are interested in that sort of thing. I am starting to work "On the Range" videos in as well for those who like a "quick fix" so look for more of those to roll out shortly.
  5. This is a great site for manuals in general. http://www.flight-manuals-on-cd.com/F86.html The one I have been using is the F-86F manual from F-86 Sabre CD #2 that covers the specific model we have here. He usually gets back to you within a couple hours with a link if you choose the download option.
  6. On the Range #37 - Manual Pip Bombing System Here is the first of several for the Sabre.
  7. Thanks Skull. One more bump... Take-off and landing data is attached now as well.
  8. Thanks Mrgud. I'll try to keep the sun angle in mind but no guarantees. If anybody is curious about the full start-up and shut-down procedure or full systems operation, video 4 - 9 will be the ones to watch... And don't forget about the flight crew checklist attached to this post if you are looking for the full procedures to perform yourself.
  9. You can create one there and it should work fine. Cheers, Bunyap
  10. A version of the Flight Crew Checklist applicable to this model of Sabre is attached below. Take-off and landing numbers are attached now as well. These should be considered provisional until the official manual comes out after which they may or may not be the best version to use at that point. There is a normal pdf file and a zip file containing bmps for your kneeboard. If you are not familiar with how the kneeboard works or how to install the files check here: I'll be recording a full walk through explaining in detail what everything means shortly for the Test Flight series. Here is the link to the playlist or just look for the thread in this section of the forum. DCS F-86F Checklist.pdf DCS F-86F Kneeboard Checklist.zip F-86F Takeoff and Landing Data.pdf
  11. Hey, thanks again Sithspawn. The checklists are attached to the top post of this thread. These should be considered provisional until the official manual comes out after which they may or may not be the best version to use. There is a normal pdf and a zip file containing bmp files for your kneeboard. If you are not familiar with how the kneeboard works check here: Now finally back to some flying...
  12. OK, I'm glad that's settled. ;) That's great news on the GAR-8, Schweehog. I'll add an extra sortie to cover them. I'm still working on the flight crew checklist I mentioned in the first video and should have it available here soon. I need it myself in order to proceed further anyway. I'm a little under the weather but with any luck I'll have it and the next few videos up tonight.
  13. The first videos in the "Test Flight" series for the F-86F Sabre are complete and will be available just as fast as my internet connection will allow. The series features a start to finish look at learning a new aircraft and is intended for new flight simmers who may not be sure where to start. I think you will enjoy it no matter your experience level so feel free to check it out. The best place to see videos as they are posted is at this playlist: If you find these useful be sure to check out my other videos available here: DCS: A-10C Warthog - Combined Arms Mission DCS: A-10A Warthog- The Valley Campaign DCS: A-10C Warthog - Single Missions They feature several hours of A-10 Warthog, F-15 Eagle, and UH-1 Huey gameplay with detailed commentary from the perspective of an experienced flight simmer provided throughout. 14. The series is up to 35 videos now so the top post is updated with a link to the playlist. Thanks again to everybody who is checking them out.
  15. Here are a couple options for the A-10 with paulrkii's (aka Snoopy) being highly recommended.
  16. This is a new series of videos I am trying out that doesn't really fall into any category and I do not believe has ever been done before. The premise is that I am showing from start to finish the process I go through when learning a new aircraft in a flight simulator. It is geared towards new flight simmers who want to learn more about the genre but do not know where to begin or for experienced simmers who want to "ride along" while checking out a new aircraft. It isn't really a tutorial series but I do pass on a lot of information on systems use and general flying of the aircraft. By the end, I will have used every system and employed every weapon so you will get everything that is coming in future "On the Range" tutorials, albeit in a little less organized fashion. I really see this series being more useful immediately after a new aircraft is released when hardly anybody knows how to fly it. I can't think of a better "review" than seeing it in action or better "tutorial" than having someone you can go to as a cross check to make sure you are understanding the systems or are interpreting procedures in the same way. I hope you enjoy it and let me know if you have another aircraft you would like to see receive the same treatment. The best place to view the series and receive updates on new videos is right here: And of course there is more to see right here: Bunyap Sims Flight Simulation Channel DCS: A-10C Warthog - Combined Arms Mission DCS: A-10A Warthog- The Valley Campaign DCS: A-10C Warthog - Single Missions
  17. This is a fly-through of the Bear Trap campaign that is included for the F-15C Eagle in Flaming Cliffs 3. These are my usual full missions with commentary provided throughout. I do not have nearly the proficiency in this aircraft as I have in the A-10 so I am feeling my way along as I go. It starts off a little slow but I am to the point now that i am starting to hold my own. I know the theory behind air-to-air even if the execution is a little shaky so I am able to pass on some lessons learned, especially towards the end where things start to improve. I hope you enjoy them and please feel free to let me know what else you would like to see. The best place to view the series is from this playlist: If you are more of a mud mover like me, there are others that may be more to your taste here: DCS: A-10C Warthog - Combined Arms Mission DCS: A-10A Warthog- The Valley Campaign DCS: A-10C Warthog - Single Missions
  18. Rhinozherous, I just started a video series that documents my learning process for the UH-1 that might help you out, not on the A-10, but just in general: I break the process down into two key points. First, I read about the system once to get an overview, use the system in the sim, and then read about the system one more time for comprehension. The manual makes a lot more sense once you have a little experience. The second point is not to get stuck on one system or procedure. I really fell into the trap while learning the A-10 of doing the start-up over and over until I mastered it and not actually flying the aircraft. I have found that if you get stuck trying to figure something out that moving on to other systems can help. Sometimes systems have to be seen in the context of how they interact with everything else on the aircraft in order for them to make sense. I also have a lot of mission fly-through videos that show how it all ties together. There are a lot of tutorials out there showing how everything works but next to nothing showing how is is all used during a mission, much less with commentary from the pilot. This is probably the best of the lot at this point: As for estimating a timeframe for learning everything, there really is no answer. It just depends on how much detail you want to get into. The well is bottomless and I still learn something new every time I fly it. I thought I knew what I was doing a year ago but, looking back, I had no clue. I am sure I will say the same thing looking back a year from now. :) All that matters in the end is whether or not you're having fun.
  19. As an old loader myself, I feel your pain. :) Oh well, there are worse things in the world I suppose.
  20. OK, this series is complete and the top post is updated. Thanks very much to everybody who subscribed to the channel and watched them as they came out. For everybody watching after the fact, I hope you enjoy them. Bunyap
