  1. The P doesn't have a turret, and much like Quadg I was sad not to see a D or a V as these are the ones I saw IRL most. Then I saw the P's cannon in action. So powerful.
  2. I believe it just can't hover for as long as, let's say, a Mi-8 can, since it needs a higher power setting and it fatigues the engines. I never heard any Mi-24 pilots call it unstable in hover.
  3. Yeah, I already struggle with the amount of easily accesible buttons in normal fighters, this is gonna be a really difficult one
  4. Right, but I'm pretty sure the fan is off (hopefully we'll be able to turn it on from the get go, I heard it took a year or so to get it working in the Hip), it just moves around because of the vibrations, which is a nice touch.
  5. Well, the fan in the real thing is soft and squishy, not hard and rigid. It would make sense for it to wobble around a bit from the vibrations, as you can see here: https://youtu.be/LO_FWj1Pyp4?t=360
  6. Nothing really new, we saw these angles on the recent screenshots, but it's great to see it "in action". I love the fan wobble at 3:25
  7. The amount of buttons we'll need to bind is what makes me not that excited for the Apache It's fine when fixed wing need a lot of binding, you can let go of the controls for a second and hit some keyboard buttons if you run out of other hardware switches. On the other hand, letting go of the cyclic is generally not a great idea.
  8. We can just hope that Q2 will mean April, not June
  9. Then you'd hear it 5 times per rotation, instead there's one "whistle" per rotation, which matches up with the movement of the follower. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EyzIKO6FmDc&t=377s You can see it very well here, it's the same on the Mi-24 except it rotates faster. https://youtu.be/n3sMAm6D4cE?t=179 An example on the Mi-24, you can hear the sound every one rotation of the follower, not 5 times as would be the case if it was the blades producing the sound.
  10. Just uploaded, really interesting stuff
  11. There has been a whole video of the Mi-24 in flight over Syria. They've also shown it with some weapon systems on and firing rockets in a recent livestream, though we have no idea how much is left to do behind the scenes.
  12. Yeah, the price on the modules is fairly steep in general, especially during the pandemic. The 20-30% really makes it easier.
  13. I don't think we got any official info yet, but it is a bit odd that you'll be able to pre-order the Apache before the Hind. I do wish we can preorder the Mi-24 with a little discount as usual, I'm ordering it day one lol
  14. Huey and Mi-8 are doing fine as well, we'll be able to adopt the Mi-24 too.

    Skins wishlist

I used to see this particular Mi-24 in my little home town in Poland when I was a child, always in the distance, but it sparked my love for this helicopter since I was 6 or 7. I know it's a D, but I'll have to get myself this livery for the DCS one and I'll get to sort of live my dream of flying this beast hah (can't find high res photos of it lol, so excuse the quality) One with the same pattern from up close:
