  1. Surely the loadout editor for aircraft could be adapted to fit infantry. Liveries as camouflage, and then "pylon" slots for weapons and different types of armour.
  2. It does move around quite a lot it seems
  3. Yes, you can see that here: It's a Mi-2, but the fan is the same
  4. I suppose we just need to monitor the "Early access date" thread and wait for the official info. 16th sounds very promising.
  5. Pots as in potentiometers, and by spiking they meand that they're not smooth but jittery and they jump around. The T16000m for example (which is basically what I use too) has hall sensors which are magnetic, meaning they don't start jumping and spiking for muuuuuch longer and are smoother/more precise. Using the little slider throttle will be hard for precise hovering, but you probably can get used to it with time, and the Hind lets you do rolling takeoffs and landings so you can ignore hover as much as possible lol Though I think it's still doable, it'll just take time to get used to.
  6. The CH53 flies like it has 0 weight behind it, don't base your experience on that. I was flying helicopters in XPlane 11 (where the helo flight model is on par with DCS) for ages on an Attack 3, same as the 3D Pro but without a twist grip and I was doing just fine. Getting a better stick will of course make it easier, but you'll be fine on the Logitech, especially in cruise where the helo will handle more or less like a fixed wing, you'll just have to get used to hover being a bit more difficult.
  7. From ED's Discord Also, there's an update on the Steam page: https://steamcommunity.com/app/223750/discussions/0/3166568651722149917/?ctp=3
  8. I'm pretty sure that the Mi-24 has an autohover autopilot mode that should be able to help you
  9. They're teasing us big time lol
  10. Will there be a sale on standalone too, or is it only for the Steam users?
  11. There's also this, calling it their best estimate back when the steam pre order started:
  12. You can hear Petrovich call out a ground target in the startup video (around the time Wags was pulling the brake paddle), so there's that. The EA feature list does say that he will be in his basic form to start with and will evolve over time though.
  13. Seems like the person who made the English textures is already aware of this (from the comment section of the startup video)
  14. I think we're getting Russian new and weathered, Iraqui and Syrian to start with. I'm sure they're gonna add plenty more as the time goes.
  15. Great video, thanks for sharing! Speaking Polish comes in useful too hah
  16. Pretty sure it has a governor or whatever the name in the Mils would be for that. Move it to 100% and forget about it until landing.
  17. There's the news! Can't wait
  18. It's just a meme, none of us here knows when it's coming out
  19. Yeah, I know it's a placeholder, but when the Steam pre-orders started they did state (here on the forums) that it is their best estimate. That was like a month ago though, it has likely changed. Found it:
  20. I've scrapped enough helos between XPlane and DCS (mainly the Mi-8 here) due to VRS to know to be weary 24/7 lol
  21. I read somewhere that the Fox2s were used more in the evening when it's cold and the contrast is bigger, and they were used more to locate the target. It was somewhere on these forums, can't find the source now.
  22. Probably not, but it shouldn't be too far off this date (hopefully)
  23. 4 fuel tanks! This thing will be able to fly for hours if we choose to lol
  24. Mi-8's cockpit is a bit messy, agreed, but they "cleaned it up" a lot in the Hind Imagine taking all the switches from Huey's overhead and pedestal and putting them in one place, wouldn't be much different than the set of switches on the left here. The circuit breakers are behind you, so they don't look nearly as intimidating as the ones in the Hip, where they're right above you, always in sight.
