  1. I tried a few different aricraft, I can't get most of the axis to work in cold and dark startup. Testing on the Mi-8 now, break axis and throttle axis work, collective and cyclic don't. Basically the same thing for other aircraft I tested so far. It all works perfectly fine in a hot start. EDIT: seems like it fixed itself in the Mi-8, but I still can't control the axis in some other aircraft. I'll restart the sim a and rassign the axis again, it might just be something on my end.
  2. What I saw on standard, rain preset was some diagonal lines on the base of one cloud, forming a weird triangle. Very obvious and noticable. They seem to be fine on ultra.
  3. i5-8400, RTX 2060, 24GB RAM. Running on mostly high, 1080p, no VR.
  4. Gonna tease you a bit more in the meantime lol The clouds on "standard" get some weird artifacts/patterns on them. It's all gone on ultra, with no noticable performance hit. Got a few crashes too, but it's all good.
  5. Make sure to go to the settings and set the clouds to "Ultra" when you're there!
  6. Looking good. No FPS impact on my end at all it seems. Love it.
  7. Check the store, there does seem to be a sale live right now
  8. A bit cloudy on the Polish coast, hope to have a similar view in the sim soon!
  9. Well, if you want a trainer helo to prepare for the Kiowa, you have the Bell 407 available for XPlane. But I agree that it would be awesome to have a "built in" chopper.
  10. The alien livery is great, but I kinda hope that liveries of various different air forces that use the Hind will be included before exotic ones like this. I'm not opposed to it though, it is cool.
  11. I don't know for sure, but knowing the soviet way, they probably had a lot of them being manufactured for other aircraft, and it was just cheaper to use those in the Hind as they had the supply for it. Might be completely off here, but that's usually been the case in soviet manufacturing.
  12. It was mentioned somewhere on the forums that it's only props initially, and they still need to work on the technology to make it work with much bigger rotors
  13. Read this interview to get some insight on the AI they're building for the Hind. It won't be fully ready for EA, but it is very promising.
  14. I was eagarly waiting for this video, thank you!
  15. I know that a lot of the Polish Mi-24s were modernised, they got rid of the green colour and translated all the labels to Polish. I was in an old Mi-8 as well, all in Polish (obviously a different helo), it would be odd if they only translated a few of them, coincidentally all the ones I've seen from up close lol Might be wrong though, I can obviously only speak for the ones I've seen myself.
  16. You can learn the alphabet in one day, it's understanding the words that sill be the problem, especially if you're not a slavic speaker already. I love the Cyrillic aesthetic, I can read it (kinda slowly), and I'm a slav, but I still only understand around half of what is written. I'll likely stick to English labels.
  17. Nigeria and Zimbabwe, as an example. There's a couple in the States as well. Not sure if they have the P, D, V or any other varaint, all I'm saying is that translating the labels to your local language is done regularly.
  18. Russia has some strict laws regarding military information. Remember a few months ago when ED had to cancel the plans to update the Ka 50's systems (helicopter from 1982)? All the info is simply classified, you can't make an accurate aicraft by guessing. Besides, isn't there a MiG 29 in the works?
  19. Well, the labels in the cockpit get translated to the language of whichever country the helicopters are exported to, so English can very much be authentic too
  20. Yes, we'll have both Russian and English labels in the cockpit
  21. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1593360/DCS_Mi24P_HIND/ Is this an accurate day of release, or was it something that had to be put up on the Steam page and we shouldn't look at it as the actual date?
  22. All we know is that the Hind enters early access somewhere in Q2 2021, so anywhere between now and in 3 months. It'll be in pre-order (thus on discount) until it enters EA.
  23. Is this whole off topic argument really necessary?
  24. But that's for full release right, the EA one will be much more simplified. What I do know, from somewhere in this interview, is that they are still working on the UI aspect of the AI, and that they generally want it to be as hands off as possible (that probably means voice recognition).
