  1. That on the left (aircraft left...not yours ;) )is the refueling point and refueling panel
  2. Go to the options screen then the MISC tab and uncheck "head movement by g forces in cockpit"
  3. Helios has the mfd bezels with the osb buttons and rockers. DCS only exports the mfd display not the osb buttons. So.....you export the mfd displays as laid out in numerous other threads then in helios you set your mfd bezels to go around your exported mfd's and poof you have touch buttons around your MFD's. Why does helios not do this.....I think the question really should be...Why SHOULD helios export the mfd's if ED is already doing it for us? The other real issue is that helios is extracting data...the mfd's are a video feed and a different monster I assume. Helios programming is also a 1 man show...gotta use your resources wisely.
  4. Do you have the 4th monitor running yet? IF so just add its resolution in the A10 gui options page IF your current res is 3488x1080 and your 4th monitor is below the others just add its res to the existing setup as in 4th monitor =1920x1080 New res =3488x2160(set aspect back to 1.77777 after typing in new res) Then you need to edit the monitor config(lmfcd+center+rmfcd.lua) file to match what you have and where you want the mfds located on your display....just as you did for blackshark. You would then select the file you edited in the monitor setup box in the A10 options gui page.
  5. Yup...here it is: Vid of a start from cold and dark to taxi some flying and weapons deployment
  6. If you turn the backlighting on the labels will come back
  7. Side stick here too.....don't want nuttin blockin my Helios covered touch screen :)
  8. Do not mount the heatsink to the motherboard/CPU before the motherboard is mounted inside the case. The HS puts a fair amount of stress on the motherboard so you want the motherboard mounted securely to the case first. As was said above if the HS has a backplate mount that first then mount the motherboard ,install CPU, install HS, and so on
  9. Oops....i said 2930 because I can't add....yes 2960 is the correct number. I was told in the past negative numbers don't work....has that changed? If negative numbers are allowed your profiles should work......I'm stumped here now.
  10. Nope...not implemented yet
  11. You can not use negative numbers in the DCS .lua files Total res should be 2930x1050 in the options page in game Try using 1280 as the x coordinate for center camera in the monitor lua. Your left monitor upper left corner will be the 0,0 coordinates the right monitor upper left coordinates are 1280,0. Set your mfd's starting from the 0,0 coordinates This below: Center = { x = 1280; y = 0; width = 1680; height = 1050; viewDx = 0; viewDy = 0; aspect = 1.6;
  12. Helios is no different than people that build whole complete pits. Everything they do is replicated in the game so why build it, right??? Helios does allow for a gauge free view....matter of fact you decide what you want and dont want. You decide where each panel and switch goes. You can just make the right console or just the left console or you can combine it to have a combination of both or a combo from the left, right and front consoles. Then when you are all done with that you can make panels for Black Shark...FC2...Falcon and soon other sims. This software can be used to program real switches taking all the lua scripting out of your hands and automating it for you...rotaries, encoders and switches all of them with 1 easy interface. My default front view is set to only display from the fire handles up. With Helios i can see all my primary gauges and switch positions without ever losing my forward view or looking at them at a crazy angle. It's tough to explain but there is something to be said to having a full view up top, gauges with a glance down and the ability to just touch a switch and have it function. I now know what home pit builders feel with all the real switches at their finger tips and i'm getting it via the touch screen. There is talk tha the SCS may try to get ED to give us a HUD only cockpit....something like the ALT F1 view but with the canopy rails and hud glass...lets pray that ED is open to this. Helios has enhanced my enjoyment of this already great sim. And no I am not paid by SCS to say all this...I am just a very satisfied beta tester and in about 2 weeks I will get to pay them for their outstanding software just as I did for ED.
  13. Yes you are backwards....think of it as an electrical circuit....open circuit=off closed circuit=on
  14. Gotta be. Same thing happens to me....figure its a beta 4 and nvidia issue as I did not have this in previous builds.
  15. AOA is a representation of where your nose is pointing and where your aircraft is going (which is represented by the velocity vector) The difference between these two points is your AOA. As an example (though I may be off to how its actually calculated) if your nose is pointing 5 degrees nose up and your velocity vector is at 3 degrees below the horizon that is a 8 degree angle of attack. Though aoa is represented in units. I may not be exactly correct here but I am trying to represent that aoa is the angular difference between those 2 points.
  16. Loving helios more and more with every build.......though I'm not looking forward to programming all those warning lights ;)
  17. New setup...got a 23 inch touch screen to add to the pit
  18. This hobby is gettin crazy...new screen in my setup today...Got a 23 inch Acer touch screen
  19. Stream Porn non stop:D...... ...well actually most of the time i just have the team speak window on it or if i'm building panels in helios i have screenshots of the A10 pit on it for reference. It can be used for all kinds of stuff...having lots of monitor real estate outside of games its actually pretty useful.
  20. Here is my pit with Helios on a non touch screen monitor...IT's freakin awesome I tell you!!!!
  21. There is a work around...its in the multimonitor thread in the beta forums.
  22. According to NP and ED the new TrackIR SDK that has the 64bit gold is in the hands of ED and will be incorporated into beta 4.
