  1. Thanks so much for the excellent customer service Zahry!
  2. Zahry, I received my extension today. I made the mods required to get the electrical portion working properly with no problems. But I am having the same problem as Wolle had a couple of pages back. The lower female bit does not grab enough threads to hold the extension properly to the warthog base. If I loosen the the six screws around it I can get another thread or so but that does not seem to be a viable fix. If I could put a shim in-between the upper and lower half of the 2 pieces it would put the lower half down some so it could catch more threads and give me a solid connenction but that would also require getting longer screws and fabbing up the shim. PM me so we can get this resolved. I do appreciate the work you have put into this. Thanks in advance for your help.

    That is just Sick Flim!
  4. Yup....sent her a pic of my joystick. All I got back was a restraining order from the police. Weird, thought she was into that.
  5. My guess is that you are not setting up your touch screens properly Go to this link and folow its instructions. http://www.gadrocsworkshop.com/node/48 First I would go thru the setup with your monitors set exactly as they would be in the game...as in the top 3 screens set in surround and the touch screen placed in the proper position in display properties. Any change to your monitor setup after you go thru the touchscreen/calibration routine will make your touchscreen not work properly as windows will not know where it is. When you are going thru the touch screen setup in the Tablet PC settings all your screens will turn white and only one will have text with the instructions. Read it carefully...as you have to hit enter on non-touchscreens to move to identify the screen as non-touch and when the instructions finally get to the touch screen you touch that screen until it tells you to move on. It may take more than one touch. I can't stress how important this is as it is very easy to screw this up I and a few others I have helped in the past have made this mistake. After the touchscreen is properly identified in windows you need to go thru the calibration routine. On the tablet pc setting tab make sure you select the correct monitor before pressing the calibration button. When you get to the calibration screen it should have 4 touches per corner of the monitor to do the correct calibration. If its only 4 points per corner something may not be correct. Good luck!

And the Flim/Gadroc pitwars resume!!!!!! We will all benefit again!
  7. Cowboy I have uploaded a rar file with what I think is this profile. The .hpf and .layout file go into the helios profile folder and the BS_hellfrog folder goes into the Helios Images folder. Hellfrog.rar
  8. Thanks Zahry! Hopefully mine makes it on the fast boat to the USA and not the slow boat from China ;)
  9. ORDERED!!!! Is it here yet?? ;) Thanks for taking this on!
  10. Your 670 can drive 4 monitors right out of the box with no problems. I run 4 monitors off of a 4gb 670 with no problems at all and good fps. I even export viewports to my 3 touchscreens. I run in windowed mode with a res of 4080x2160. I have also used this configuration using softTH but am not currently using it that way but it is another option. Introducing a second card along with a whole differrent set of video drivers is just asking for issues. Here is a quick video of my setup:
  11. Mine both work. Did you swap out the init.lua files for those 2 view ports? There are special ones that activate those view ports. If they are not with loz files you can go to the dcs website and get them from the users files section. PeterP uploaded them there.
  12. Weltensegler is right about the symbols...2,3 and 4 are extensions and #1 is checked as my main monitor only. I do not have my main monitor setup as a touchscreen. About the touch screens. My guess is that you are not doing the calibration correctly in the control panel is the Tablet PC settings. Setup and calibration have to be done correctly in there. I think it is in the Setup portion where MUST hit "ESC"to move on, if you mouse click to move to the next portion of the setup it will make that screen a touchscreen. Go thru setup and FULLY read the steps as you go thru as I was making that mistake early on in my setups. I know there are specfic settings that need to be turned off in order for helios to work correctly also. Its is outlined somewhere...possibly in the Helios instructions. Things like flicks and other items need to be turned off in the Pen and Touch section of your control panel. I dont remember the exact items but its out there somewhere.
  13. Here is a zip file with my monitor config and my helios profile file. The helios profile may be very incomplete for you. I know that you at least have to have Loz's and gadrocs profiles loaded with the images in the correct folders because my profile is a frankenstein profile. I'm almost positive you will have issues with the CDU screen area because I made custom textures for the area around the screen. Anything in the profile that pops up with red X is a missing image file. You may have the file on your setup but it may be in a different location within your helios images folders. I did not change the name of any of the image files so you may be able to reassociate them within the helios profile editor with a little search. Not to be a jerk but I really dont want to have to build your whole helios file for you so please make an effort to fix what you can yourself. If there are image files you absolutely have to have post here (with their exact name) and i'll get them too you. I know some of the image files I use I made custom transparent cutouts for the viewports to show thru...Let me know if those are needed. HeliosMonitorConfig.zip
  14. I use Helios and mostly Loz's profile adapted to my configuration. There are some of Gadrocs panels in it also. Basicly its a frakenstein profile to fit my needs. Remember that you can open multiple windows of helios profile editor and open seperate profiles and then copy and past what you want from each profile into your own...that is pretty much how i did it.
  15. It's right there in orientation drop down box select the monitor you want to change then select the appropriate orientation of the monitor. Whatever you do there will also show up in the nvidia control panel. You can also select it as Portrait (flipped)...that is how my #4 monitor is, that way I can have the power buttons of the monitor pointed to the outside. I have 2 of the older Acer T230H touchscreens and they have a funky shaped bottom bezel so its nice to point it away from my legs.
  16. Quick shot of my monitor config. Just to let you know Monitor #3 is physically on my left as seen in the video above.
  17. A screen shot of your windows monitor setup would be helpful. I run pretty much the same setup with a res of 4080x2160. DCS is set to windowed mode and I export viewports to all 3 of my touchscreens. I have my main screen as the left most monitor my 2 side consoles are set in portrait mode to the right of the main monitor my center console screen screen is under my main monitor. Any screen set to the left of your main view will cause problems. I am not using softTH for this setup. Here is a short video of my setup:
  18. Been using mine for a year now
  19. Ummm..I think you are mistaken about this. I use 4 monitors with 1 Nvidia card for DCS without using SoftTh (PC specs below.) I run a resolution of 4080x2160 (windowed mode) and export all the available viewports to 3 separte screens. I have my graphics locked at 30fps and most of the time it stays there...I get a few dips here and there depending on the action on screen but it is not bad at all. Here is a quick vid of my Nvidia setup running with 4 screens and no SoftTh.
  20. Probably Leavu...or something like that.
  21. You can't duplicate a setting. LEFT_MFCD is what it is by default but as you can see PeterP has changed those. That change is reflected in each viewports init.lua If your A10 part of the monitorconfig.lua says LEFT_MFCD then the F15 will use that setting. This works fine if you want the f15 radar to show up in the same exact spot as your A10 left mfcd. If this is not what you want then you will have to rename the A10 Left_MFCD to something else like "ED_A10C_LEFT_MFCD" and edit the MFCD_init.lua file to say the same thing. Then you can use the LEFT_MFCD setting in the monitorconfig exclusively for the F15 radar.
  22. Go here http://files.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/?arrFilter_pf%5Baircraft%5D=&arrFilter_pf%5Bfiletype%5D=&arrFilter_pf%5Bgameversion%5D=&arrFilter_pf%5Bfilelang%5D=&arrFilter_CREATED_USER_NAME=Peterp&set_filter=Filter&set_filter=Y Download the file named all exports. It says its for 1.2.1 but it will work just fine for 1.2.2. Read the read me and it will tell you all you need to know. Basically you also need the modified init.lua files to get the cdu and rwr exports to show up. It's all in the file that peterp made.
  23. Not so much the LCD's but they make switch panels...maybe i'll score a CDU panel with a typo or something...u just never know. Hell im tempted to send them an email and ask what they do with their blemished products and see if i can dig thru their scrap.
  24. I don't get it....why is it a nightmare??? Any file you have modded goes into a folder named backup.xxx which resides in your DCS root folder All you have to do is copy your modded files that are in the backup folder back to where they belong and you are done. Heck it even maintains the file structure so all you have to do is copy all the folders in the backup folder and paste them into your DCS root folder agree to overwrite and you are done...10 seconds out of your life in not much to give up for a constantly improving sim.
