It is a good idea and has been talked about before. I think it should be done, some say its *arcadey*. But I dont think it is, if you penalize it, say a 5min time wait to give it more of an authentic feel...

He changes his hardware/computers. He didnt say he had mutliple computers its installed on. Can you please be more precise, For example, im down to 2 activations and I only reinstalled once, hell it was making me re-activate from just joining MP games. I would like to know from a ED guy like yourself what would happen? Contact starforce? Need my purchase ID? etc?

I think you need to deal with me making a bad situtation fun, why dont you go mod the ubi forums or something? When I can play the game everything is fine, I dont have a problem with the game or ED. Once in awhile it locks up, im just upset with the SF issue as others are, not ED. I think it's a joke that you have to do all these workarounds for something that we never should of had to do. You know it, I know it. You deal with it. I am, just in a different way. Cant that be fair?

Dont worry, it will be ok. Tons of members and mods here will tell you next time you need to just do about 50 things, like backing up your registry, saving this file, saving that, dont install it like this, or like that, oh and dont activate like this, or like that, do it like this. You know, just your typical above and behind any simple game install. Nothing big really, I mean, you dont want it to work correctly now do you? :D

Give me a break. It's like jaywalking or spitting on the ground, your not soppose to do it, but nobody cares, not even the cops :p And Im sure you paid for your OS and every single game and program on there.

Yeah, I know. But it's still BS. Install it on another PC, use another activation. Hell most games ship with dedicated servers on the CD you can install on another comp dont even need cd-key, or cd or anything. Why is this game begin so difficult lol

I understand the situtation and Im not pissed off anymore, ofcourse im sure you can all understand why I was when it first happened. However, I never even re-installed, changed hardware, nothing. I wont blame ED, SF needs to re-work this. Atleast we are *beta* testing it for them so 1.2 wont be like this....or maybe they'll avoid sf all together.... We really shouldnt need to go through all this just to play a game. People spend $100's on joysticks and $1,000's on hardware for this game, I dont see why any of them wouldnt pay $35 for it.

It's a bunch of crap. It's like telling somebody that just bought a $500,000 car and can only park it in 1 garage or bought 1 DVD movie and can only play it in there living room DVD player, not there bedroom player. You bought it, You bought both your PC's, do what you want.

Im not going to bother making a big fuss about it anymore, unless I end up using all 5 activations i'll just contact starforce.

Well, the past 6 times I joined a server/created one, I was able to play without a problem. I hope it doesnt need me to activate again, hell if I reinstall i'll end up using another. Oh well, what can you do.

Yeah, but then another key will get floating around, then another. And then before you know it, 2 days pass and there's a crack to remove starforce or another work around. I honestly cant recall seeing any starforce protected game getting released were paying customers had so many problems, and in the end, every single starforce game has been cracked. Im not for game cracking entirly, but this is a bunch of bs. I buy a game, I expect it to work. This was not part of what we were told. Now they come out and say this stuff after its released? And now they tell us it Might use a activation if you do automatic? FFS, They arent even sure what there doing. There playing it by ear, and trying to just go with the flow. They should just give infinitiy activations, with some other type of info to make sure it was always you or has to be same ahrdware, etc. Losing activations on reinstalls, or simply trying to join a server is beyond anything I can put into words right now.

Yes, thats basically what I ment. And the fact that you can already see lots of people having problems, ofcourse a warezd verison doesnt. How do I know? It's using the same starforce workaround people used to crack Silent Hunter III and Splinter Cell, it's pretty simple. All you do is go to.......I wont say :p. All it involves is starforces website it's self and a hardware key, yeah, top notch secruity that is. ....I dont know why they wasted there money on starforce. Im not upset about it begin cracked, could careless. Im just pissed off at the fact it keeps asking me to activate every now and then, and I only got 2 activates left. What happens when I abosulty cannot join a server or host without activating again? and then 1 more time? Im SOL?

Well, I can still play the game. But every now and then starforce pops back up asking me to reactivate, sometimes hitting exit and retrying works, and sometimes i have to activate, exit wont work. I got 2 activations left, after that I'll have to end up using a crack. I highly doubt ED/Starforce will give me a new registration key for new activations.

Guess what? Game's already cracked. Starforce 0 Paying Customers -1 Crackers 1 Well, might as well delete the topic. I'll be using a crack to play the game I bought.

I dont know where to start? I installed the game with no problems yesterday at all, this was *before* the install advice and .pdf guide, etc. I activated it, and all was great. I install ATI Catalyst 5.4 drivers, reboot....start playing. No problem, but I just dont like the drivers. I go back to my 5.1's. Reboot. Start up hyperlobby, click to join a game........bam, starforce pops up for me to activate again. Im like wtf? No way, so I hit EXIT. It brings me back to hyperlobby, I then try to rejoin the same game. It works, without the starforce popping up... WTF? So, I think nothing of it. Until the next time I load up HL, I get asked again, this time exiting and re-entering didnt fix it. I HAD to activate, tried 4 TIMES !! to try and join a server w/out activating again. I tryed manually, says my registartion key was invalid, did automatically, worked. Ok??? So as time goes on, it happens again, and AGAIN. Im now down to 2 activations left and I just bought it yesterday. Wooo hooo STARFORCE ROCKS. I dont know WTF is up with HL & Starforce but if anybody else is having this problem please post it because this is total BS. I havent even re-installed the game, let alone reformated, or changed any parts. I want my activations back. And yeah, the next time It asks me I'll take a VIDEO of it and then post it, and yup, i'll be down to 1 activation left. Thanks ED, Starforce... =(. I feel I bought this product just to play it earlier than the cracked verison and will have to use a crack for a game I bought. EDIT: If this matter cant be resolved, I will have to buy a new game? But I'd like to get it at a discounted price atleast, this is crazy. You guys should of posted all this starforce guides, have to do it manually and all that crap before the game was even released. I dont know what the F is going on but it isnt exactly making me a happy man.

I just figured i'd post this for those who didnt download them. Since the release is near and im sure most people are eager to try out the new Su-25t, might find my charts helpful. One is for converting imperial to metric for altitude & speed. This is real usefull when your groundpounding with A10s or use to imperial units. The other is a loadout chart for your Su-25(t). With mission info. Helps for servers with externals off when you want good realism. Here are the charts, need MS Word to open them correctly. Su-25 loadout sheet might not show the picture in the document but you'll see it when its printed out and in the print preview option.
