That had stated earlier that they had the Mig in Edge, how far they got it I don't know.
-
This module will be bought by everyone who plays DCS and will probably bring quite a few back or into DCS.
-
How long ago was it stated because Sep is 'later in the year'.
-
Where did you get this inside info.
-
Well done. See you on the 18th
-
Not even sure what that post was supposed to mean.

I actually hate words like that from devs "in the coming days" because to me that means something different than it does to most devs. Today is Sat, from my skewed perspective I would expect that announcement by Mon at the very latest. kinda like 'soon', As a buddy said to me, "If you had a long lost friend that called you up and said he was coming to visit soon, you wouldn't expect it to be 2+ months later". I know people 'hate' me for busting your chops but do you even realize how many times you have said this now. "Dev update coming soon", "More videos coming soon", "More announcements coming" and "More goodies coming soon" and NOTHING.

Here is my WISH, F4 Phantom (don't even care if you can use Dual Cockpit). or OV10 Bronco or F8 Crusader The Phantom and the Crusader would be a perfect match to the Mig 21. And my prediction is still intact for a release on the 24th of Sep (which I made about 2 months ago)

I don't think they blew it up too early, I think they were not as close to release as they thought they were, it would appear their 'internal' beta test team was very small and because it is so small, the number of bugs they found was small, as soon as they expanded the team by giving it to 10+ reviewers, the bug list went up in kind. For example, notice that Cobra hasn't spoken of the release date at all in the last little while, no "Soon". The last one was a 'promised' update in the early days of September. Not a peep since.
-
It seems that a fairly large number of bugs were uncovered when they gave it out to a few people and now they have to fix those.
-
I am actually surprised we haven't heard anything yet. I kinda expected a release date announcement by now , I know Cobra was vague when he said the first few days of Sep.
-
I don't think you understand the meaning of soon :)
-
You are correct , unfortunately LN has not been very accurate in most if not all their dates so far. I still wonder if it wouldn't have been better to go the Beta route.
-
The problem is we aren't MAX 1 month away, we might be but then again we might not be. Who knows anymore.
-
I fully agree with this Sith, because if I remember right, he used to say all kinds of vague stuff as well and even when it wasn't vague, a lot of it never did came to fruition. Personally I wish they wouldn't say anything UNTIL they can actually deliver. I meant is the point of giving out misleading or 'false' info, and by false I mean stuff that never comes true. Take the March 31st deadline for this. That was a guaranteed date, not a guess a guarantee, and we are going on 5 months later, I fully understand they hit a huge problem but I think everyone realizes now there was no way even with Beczl they were making the March 31st deadline.

This isn't over analyzing at all, this is taking what they are saying "FOR WHAT THEY ARE SAYING", putting little smileys at the end like that indicates something. Of course this could all be resolved if they just follow thru with what they say ala "More goodies coming soon and a dev update", both of which never came thru. and now we get a "First days of September(ish)" again very vague.
-
See Cobra, that is where everything goes wrong. "First Days of September(ish)", extremely vague, just set a date for an announcement and make it on that date. Don't put little smily faces at the end of your posts to indicate there is something more than you are actually saying. and if you say "More goodies coming soon along with a Dev update" then actually tell people what those are and actually give a dev update. If I extrapolte from Steam release, that means it 'should' release approx 2 weeks earlier, which is in approx 2 weeks, NOW that doesn't seem right because if you are releasing in approx 2 weeks, a person would think you would know that date by now and of course would announce it.
-
I think you misunderstood , I meant that it would 'normally' mean they were releasing before Sep 1st, I have no idea what it actually meant.
-
In this context it would mean, they are releasing before Sep 1st
-
I am not sure EU folks understand what WINKING means
-
Can you confirm you are going to make Q2-Q3 2014. Only a month left.
-
You aren't going to go all PC on us are you.
-
Ok, so from your perspective how complicated should a sling load be from your role as a pilot, IRL, the pilot holds station over a spot, the ground crew hooks up the load. To release it is usually a safety switch and then a button to release.

Do you ever regret not going the Belsimtek route and releasing as a Beta, afterall, when it is released there will be dozens if not hundreds of bugs found (there always are). These could be found while the product is still a beta and not a final. I started programming in the 80s, and software today has completely screwed up the meaning of Alpha and Beta anyway, Beta used to mean "Feature Complete" and only bug fixes now. Today, Release Candidates are rarely feature complete.
