If it is the F-14 , I don't think they will announce it until ED confirms implementation of the 2 Seat ability, and I mean by that, that is working and about to be released.

oh NO, not the dreaded "Day or Two", which was on the 31st which means news coming today. Worst thing is, even if they announce the F-14, a conservative estimate for release would be 18 months. In that time, dozens of things in DCS World will change which will cause a further 6 -12 month delay, that is the nature of dev in DCS world.

Can you imagine the excitement if the were to release this today/tomorrow. HOLY CRAP ON A CRACKER.

Folks have to remember that copyright is actually probably just a small part of it as well. ITARS is one of the biggest ( I would argue THE biggest) roadblock to doing in depth systems. I have seen several people post flight manuals on these very forums which in fact are a violation of ITARS laws. It has actual been quite surprising to me that ED has allowed this.

BTW, Who were these casuals that were testing this before release.

Just confirmed this. In GAME mode, the gear won't raise and lower 'properly', in SIM mode it works just fine.

Absolutely Fantastic Job. I can't put my finger on it, but the aircraft just feels like an aircraft, too many feel like they are on rails, this one doesn't. Is that more realistic, I have no idea because it really depends on the aircraft. I have flown in several high performance aircraft including CF18 and CF5 and this feels MORE like those rides.

Just an assumption but perhaps your ISP throttles torrents, I know a lot of them do.

As the biggest detractor here, I can say I am very pleased so far. Got my Key, used the instructions in this thread to download, install the update and the mig and everything is working just fine. Flew her for 2mins, flys nice, Got lots of reading to do (which is a good thing) Well done.

I believe they had plans to release the keys (and the plane) to backers early but they are running into problems that have to be solved and I don't think the backers will get anything early. Cobra had mentioned he had some good news last week for backers, but haven't heard anything since and because we are only 2 days away from release and we don't even have the manual yet then I think this is really going to come down to the wire.

I hope they don't run into the same problem that the Hawk guys ran into. A huge bug left over from something they did months ago that they thought they fixed.

This video appears to not mute the sound. Having flown in several jets, including F-18 and F5, the sound is fairly muted with the helmet on BUT you 'feel the sound' more. IOW, you can feel the increase in speed, the engines wind up etc. We are missing that feel in all SIMS.

I believe they said it would be ON or BEFORE the 18th
