  1. noc, DCS-A10C /Config /View and open the 'View.lua' line 42 UseDefaultSnapViews = change to false save it and then open 'SnapViews.lua',(in the same folder) at the bottom, line 1045["viewAngle"] is the one you want to set your default zoom Here you can also adjust your default eyepoint, heres mine: Snap[11][13]["viewAngle"] = 80 --(FOV)default: 75.0 Snap[11][13]["x_trans"] = 0.25 --(FWD/BCK)default: 0.36 Snap[11][13]["hAngle"] = 0 --(TILT L/R) Snap[11][13]["y_trans"] = -0.025 --(UP/DWN)default: -0.041336805555555564 Snap[11][13]["rollAngle"] = 0 --(ROLL L/R) Snap[11][13]["vAngle"] = -7 --(TILT UP/DWN)default: -23 Snap[11][13]["z_trans"] = 0 --(L/R) as far as the initial zoom-out on game start, afaik, its not possible.....yet.
  2. thank you, +1rep for that Peter. edit: will not let me rep you. in the pic (well done) you refer to "line 34"
  3. Sorry to hear about that mr mojo, Don't forget that you will not hear from the thousands of happy owners out there  I got mine from the first shipment into Australia, and despite my own paranoia after reading some of these posts, it has not missed a heartbeat, and is (ab)used daily. :joystick:
  4. thanks BlackRazor, this has been bugging me for some time Rep+
  5. I would also like to know about this.............
  6. apoll, have you looked at the DCSWiki. Hours of reading there. Heres two pages of charts to get you going http://www.dcswiki.com/index.php?title=Fuel_flow_and_specific_range_charts_%28A-10%29 Fuel_flow_and_specific_range_charts http://www.dcswiki.com/index.php?title=Maximum_endurance_charts_%28A-10%29 Maximum_endurance_charts
  7. looking forward too it.
  8. I agree with Weta43, I work on the water and the High settings are unrealistic. Large volumes of water are rarely still enough to show reflections that clearly. If only those reflections were related to wind speed (0kts) in the ME ? http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=68060 says to try this as some report an increase in fps with higher water settings..... go figure? EDIT: Ahh, memory isn't what it used to be... above link states possible increase in fps in relation to shadows NOT water... my bad... thanks galagamo
  9. Great book!! At least the guys in the tanker could stretch their legs. 13hours across the ocean in A-10A's with no auto pilot at all.................Deserve medals for that alone................
  10. someone needs to have a look at this, 13hrs to go...US$75
  11. Enjoyed both missions and am eager for the 3rd installment, thanks BBQ. @ toby23 this is the intro flight. Lead should have been communicating to you through-out the flight, looks like your not getting this. @Pfadfinder look here. Ive based a scramble statup based on Speeds post and evolved it to suite the current build. My first flight(greenzone2) i was having coffee and donuts with the ground crew while starting up. Completely missed the urgency of the matter and was told to RTB just after wpt1. Second time round, i scrambled and had no problems.
  12. Nice control. Thanks
  13. :megalol:.................
  14. I find it helps to request "SNAKE" when i cant visually aquire the IR beam. The movement of the beam helps, especially in urban areas.
  15. :thumbup:perfect! Thanks lobo
  16. Same here, but I used to change the color to dark blue instead of red as this makes it a little harder to see and do it for both sides. I only recently went no labels and my fun factor and mission duration time doubled immediately. It definately adds to the immersion when you know theres a sam down there, but you cannot find it, and your wondering if you've drifted into its envelope Sweaty palms expecting a launch tone
  17. i recall hearing the "taxi to parking area" in FC2 if you stopped on the runway after landing. Tower politely telling you to move along. +1 for the emergency landing call
  18. you didn't miss anything. Beta 5 will not be released to public, next beta will be 6
  19. and make sure you dont have the trak-clip pro selected if your using the one that goes on your cap visor. I switch between the two , depending on if headphones are needed or not, and if i dont tell the software which i'm using i get strange movements in game. I've been using TiR for a couple of years now and still find myself tweaking it periodically, it seems that for me it is a continual WIP, don't give up on it, once you get it down, you'll wonder how you ever did without it. The MFD's simply plug in and away you go, no programing required for the A-10, and add to the immersion greatly.
  20. thanks for testing Kuky, do you know if theres any plans to fix this? And how much of an fps boost do you experience doing this?
  21. Thanks Loz, off to give it a try now Nope, game crashes while loading, if "full screen" is ticked.
  22. I'm actually surprised at my performance when i see some of the posts about poor fps and their rigs. I'm running a q6600 @ 3.0Ghz on a gigabyte GA-P35-DS3P, 6 gig of ram, 8800gt, win7 64, dual monitors, and game settings basically medium, and average around 18-20 fps, however it rarely goes over that and drops significantly at times. I do get stutters, but I'm usually too busy flying/configuring/being confused/avoiding/trying to locate wing-man/remembering the ingress bearings/staring at the tgp/wishing i had a paper manual etc etc. to notice them unless i'm looking for them. Still i find it playable and extremely entertaining. Well i have to find it playable for now, as i cant do much about upgrading, and to not fly the hawg is out of the question!
  23. I'm in desperate need of an upgrade too, but will have to wait until after mid year. I'm still running an 8800GT.
  24. hey Kuky has this been confirmed as working for vertically stacked monitors, or am i missing something? I've been running dual monitors, one above the other quite happily for a while now. 1920x1080 main and 1440x900 below.(Thanks are in order to Kuky ,Airdog and others for their efforts and forum support) However, if i adjust the ingame resolution from 1920x1980 to 1920x1480 (400 for the MFD's) , it simply cuts 250 from the top and 250 from the bottom, instead of 500 off the bottom. This results in the pit extending down onto the bottom monitor, and the desktop being visible above and below the game. Any ideas, as any extra fps is welcome.
