  1. Aerial Refueling might be fun with clients on both ends of the story! :)
  2. With my 6950 I can watch them go up and down by changing the direction I look at (of course depending on the 3D objects-density/complexity at the different bearings). DCS seems to work quite different on different systems, not only depending on hardware configuration.
  3. Guess why! But due to the reason, all GFX-Cards will do.
  4. Hardware and resolution see signature! Settings High (except water medium), V-Sync On, TSSAA on, 8xAA, Heat Blur on, no mirrors, cockpit shadows on. FPS 20-40 (Max FPS set to 40!). Good enough for me to fly and fight. :)
  5. You got me wrong: We NEED more 3D Objects, to make the sim look like it needs to, to operate human controlled infantry units on it. That, of course, has nothing to do with your suggestion. Just wanted to point out, that if things go that way, our hardware will be at its limits again. On the other hand: As you said, as an optional feature it would be welcome...
  6. Indeed there are people that love flying and there are as well those who like to be controller. I even know some! :D
  7. I do! :D And my squadmates too! Pfft... Is it too much to ask for a TS installation? ;)
  8. :music_whistling: :D :music_whistling: Not more to say at this point... Maybe in a few weeks...
  9. Exactly Mustang! With the 6-Series they shifted numbers up by 20.
  10. Nice idea mate, but haven't you noticed yet, that DCS already needs high performance systems to look like it does. So adding further graphic-fx could maybe stop your whole sys! ;) And to be honest: To push the idea of CA further, we'd first need a much higher number of (collidable) 3D Objects on the ground WITHOUT dropping the sim to 0fps. Unfortunately the size of the theatre(s) puts all these eye-candy gfx far away from us I'm afraid.
  11. How is your problem related to the thread topic? Or did I miss something?
  12. I got a non oc-ed 6950 and everything is running fine with quite high settings. No idea, what may cause the issues... :/
  13. Maybe try to avoid using the CCC. Back in the past (with A-10C in beta) I had massive problems with the CCC. Ones I switched to Ati Tray Tools everything was fine.
  14. Agree! That was a nice feature we had back in the days with LO!

    IFV Dismounts

Same for helicopters (maybe even fast roping). And to make it work: Helicopters being able to land and takeoff and land and takeoff (especially without heli-pad!!!!) etc etc...
  16. Is this package 1.2 compatible? Or will it be? EDIT: Nevermind... The Vehicle Pack for DCS World features all these units, right?
  17. Whatever the reason is, it seems to affect only few system-setups.
  18. But why do you pick a study sim when you don't want to study?? Ever considered Flaming Cliffs?? Way easier to learn and fun to fly and fight with. I hope this doesn't sound offending somehow. Just curious...
  19. Honestly: Assembling furniture is not exactly as complex as flying a combat aircraft... :smartass: The best approach is grabbing the manual, and jumping into the AC, and then read, try and improve. No need for hours of reading alone, but by not reading the manual at all, you will somehow keep stuck in a world between BF and real simulators. And guys saying "I can handle all weapon systems but landing is difficult"... Sorry mate, but that just let's me laugh a moment... ;)
  20. 1. Someone has to create the large scale missions you request, and as open MP missions mostly suck, due to lack of briefing and teamwork, none does (or at least very rarely). 2. Our squadron is still facing problems with more then 12 client AC at one airfield. So 25v25 (like back with FC) seems somehow unrealistic atm. ... unfortunately... AND: I have no idea how someone can say that these pieces of software are too expensive!!!!! The A-10C alone is worth more than 100$ in my eyes, so waiting for prices to drop even further than they're now is... uhm... strange... Sorry, but felt the need to say this.
  21. ... and they're not too useful anyway...
  22. But there was also the issue with the BDU-33 smoke (MP lag). Is that the same like what the guys above described?
  23. Has this issue been resolved with 1.2??
