  1. Geez, I hope ED plans to give the FC3 aircraft and the JTAC a TARS compatible radio system!!!
  2. Ok Yo-Yo, get to work! :)
  3. Honestly: I don't know! I'm not a progger! But as long as the dynamic weather follows rules similar to RL weather there should be a possibility to generate predictions (again: they shouldn't be 100% spot on) for pre-defineable regions. Something like: Put about 10-20 meteo-reporting spots over the map (at larger cities?). Make them chooseable (at least for the mission-builder) to ask for weather 1. current 2. T+2h 3. T+4h 4. T+6h. If the engine can calculate the weather it can generate a prediction as well. I'd think it'd just need a interface to be asked for. Add a slight factor of failure (which would be realistic for a weather prediction), increasing with how far into the future you'd like to look. Again: I have no idea of programming, but trying to imagine how this stuff works, let's me think this should be possible. And I'd really find it usefull in many situations.
  4. LOL! Imagine a kind of LOCERF event. A package of A-10s is tasked to do some Mk-82 bomb runs on a defended target area (means they'd have to start their engagements from between 13.5k to 20k ft, depending on the kind of defense systems). They have a 90minute enroute leg, just to find out once they reach the target area that they have overcast at 8.500ft!  :pilotfly:
  5. So clouds or even overcast and its altitude are not of interest?? Uhm, have you ever seen weather forecast on TV? ;) Sure these forecasts shouldn't be 100% spot on, but RL weather predicitions for the next 12hours are fairly close to what will happen.
  6. I lately saw a picutre of a F-4 through the seeker of an IRIS-T: You can count the rivets on that crystal clear picture! I bet it could even lock on to a fresh fart...
  7. And the missing oportunity to get weather reports from certain spots to create a briefing.
  8. Awesome? Not only: Absolutely necessary! Not beeing able to continue using TARS would be a huge step backwards!
  9. Exactly! It can't be told often enough! Play SP or join a squadron!
  10. Which is no surprise... And it's not rare, it's near impossible. Starting with the reason that players will come and go when they like, constantly changing the balance, which ruins each and every mission-design.
  11. A proper designed LOCERF-style mission can generate fun for 3-5 hours. And it would even be replayable at least once for the bunch of guys who hadn't been in on the the first run. ;) I mean it's not that we wouldn't have had such good missions already!
  12. It's not about klicking the button - it's about the features they control in DCS that are not available in FC"X". Clicking is kinda "hand-candy". Just to clarify that... :smartass:
  13. Simple as that...
  14. Wooha - The next LOCERF will be a huge fun! And these days we have way more hog-pilots since back then.
  15. I dug out an old FC1 screenie and thought I could share it with you. Back in the days when I was a Flanker pilot... :)
  16. Thank you all for your great input on the topic! Will put the results into our squadrons procedures. ~S!~
  17. Is that "mid, aft, forward" A-10 specific phraseology or common air force? Just asking because we currently use the "push box 1,2,3" calls. Sry for half OT...
  18. "You must spread some..." ;)
  19. Or with a team double the size of EDs actual one -> Prices for products = also double! I'd be happy with that, but too many wouldn't unfortunately...
  20. Yeah prettyness beats accuracy! ;)
  21. C'mon, the question is kinda valid.
  22. Trying to sum up what people essentially complained about: It's been more the fact that they felt waiting for a patch and ending with a payware upgrade. So it's been a communication issue somewhere in the past. I heard nobody so far complaining that the product isn't worth the money. As far as I further noticed, this lack in communication has been noticed by ED or their respective moderators, which means the whole discussion could find an end, couldn't it? At least everybody seems to be happy with the product which not every company can achieve! So things are fine! Get in the pit and blow some stuff up! :)
  23. First try to replace motors with mortars! ;) He describes how to "script" a moving mortar team using zones and triggers of the ME.
  24. Argh... and I spent time in photoshoping a map by my own...
  25. I'd say checkboxes are well enough. TY for putting it on your list! Also looking forward to talk to KA-50 pilots via TARS!!!
