Makes me wish I didn't cancel my order months ago lol. What's the hit on frame rate? And is that by using nvidia dsr?
-
Can't you guys just use nvidia dsr and do that now?

SLI 970's at 3440x1440p - performance?

Thanks for the explanation, sounds good. If they make a 55 inch 3d at 144hz gsync then I be in. -

That's cool and all but even with my sli 980 can't maintain 144 frames in games. So screen tearing will be bad right? Then if you vsync you'll definately perceive the drop in fpS. Monitors are out advancing our current hardware. It's like 4k, the top cards can't even maintain 60fps. Does gsync really make a difference or is it just another marketing gimmick? -
All I'm saying is the f35 will not be able to replace what the A10c brings to the table as a true dedicated Cas platform. I can't speak from a conventional Army view point as I'm not in the conventional Army. So my view point is very much special Operations slewed and as I stated above those platforms have Proven to work best for us. Like I said f35 is an amazing package but it will have its specific roles which we don't know exactly what those are as it's not combat Proven like our current Platforms. I'll leave it at that. War is ever changing and be interesting how this new tech is incorporated into our ranks

Cas is never a single point of failure, we have many redundancies, but yes mistakes happened on both sides of that fence. It's a perfect AAR situation, many lessons learned. Rip Green Beret Brothers!
-
I very much know the full spectrum of Cas. Yes it's more than just guns, but you guys are assuming we use platforms that loiter above 25,000ft. We don't in the current situation on the ground. We fully use Close Air Support aka Close... It is what it is you guys can read all the tech stuff you want and make assumptions. What is in practical use right now and what works is not the standoff high altitude Ttp you are assuming. I think f35 is great but as a leader on the ground I would always choose Apaches and warthogs over the shiny object. You guys are getting so defensive of a none proven airframe it's funny. Almost sounds like your high up Airforce brass looking for kick backs.
-
I'll speak from a special operations view point, hard to see that f35 loitering over head ready to apply immediate guns on tgt as we infiltrate and ex filtrate said area. As a anti terrorism ground game we currently employ our current cas platforms are perfect. Heck F18's couldn't hang and execute the cas we required hence the reason we use A10c and Apaches along with specter. Thing is with weapons they all have their place, f35 will have its place, cas is not its place. That's the ground truth. Things are fluid and dependent upon the five 5 w's
-
I can say with my 17 years of service that you cannot just use any platform for cas. F35 is impressive but I'll keep apaches and warthogs thanks for my Oda's cas platforms.

I myself look very forward to what the modders will do to dcs 2.0 once it's released. So much more epic ness will come out with the highly talented modders this community has!

DCS World environmental shaders mod

I highly doubt it, i imagine he can improve 2.0 when it comes out, same goes for texture mods and all the sound mods that will come out. -
Visibility Issues, Large monitor solution??
rcjonessnp175 replied to OnlyforDCS's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Same here 55 inch at 1080p and in 3d. The size I think makes a difference and if you guys run nvidia dsr will help even more! Very true once you go big it's hard to go back, I came from 3screen nvidia surround and like one big screen way better. My tv is a Sony 55 802a -
DCS World environmental shaders mod
rcjonessnp175 replied to Mustang's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
I sure hope that is the case! -
So what was his avatar? Something other than the Vegas sign?
-
Rather the community do it aka modders and like fsx does, as that frees up the devs for bigger things and the Addons makers focus on just that one item. Weather, clouds terrain whatever and get super obsessed and have no time crunchs and bring nothing but uber quality

SLI 970's at 3440x1440p - performance?
rcjonessnp175 replied to Buckeye's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I get drops below 60 fps in the highly populated areas and I have sli 980. Edge hopefully will fix that issue........ -
How about a more modern suite of the a10c? Don't see the fascination in older easier tech. Much more interesting things to learn with modern suites than their is the mothball tech.

Welcome to the club !

Anytime, you get it setup right it's amazing!

Go to nvidia control panel. Then go to setup stereoscopic 3d Then hit the set keyboard shortcuts That new menu pops up and then hit down arrow for show advanced in game settings Click enable For convergence in game it is ctrl f6 and ctrl f5. Be aware the game has those keys set for some different views. I go into dcs key confit and delete those bindings. Convergence is the biggest money make as far as 3d goes Lol depending on your settings your brain will be tickled lol
-
Ok wait one booting up pc
-
3d is epic adjust convergence settings in game also so the hsi is in focus by your naked eye. Puts everything in a10c pit in a good level. Welcome to the epic ness of 3d in dcs world. Hopefully dcs 2.0 will be better You can run depth very high but you need to adjust convergence the options for that is in nvidia control panel under 3dvision settings will be an advanced key shortcut menu in their. 1 percent depth really has no 3d. Put it at 15 percent then adjust your convergence trust me ! http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=109341 http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=130329

Myself and many others are curious but all that too. The video looks great and it's amazing that was from back in October. Can only imagine how it looks now with even more tweaks and more graphical goodness. I just hope this new engine runs with nvidia 3dvision as flying in 2d is very hard to do when you've taste the 3d goodness.

Huh? It lists he has a 4770k and a 780ti and 8gb ram?
