What makes the Apache the most difficult helicopter module to fly?
corbu1 replied to Schmidtfire's topic in DCS: AH-64D
I use a TM warthog as well and see no problems flying the Apache. As @sirrah said FM is actually WIP, but it‘s in fact very nice to fly, I think. The latest OB patch brought some optimizations into the FM, especially autohover works fine now. You do use trimming regularly? -
Yes, this might explain it. Then you can expect your second unit in a half year delivered.
-
Interesting….how did you get it in 4 weeks? I have actually about 290 other units shipped before me….

I have both parts, the seat and the stand, tied together. I have also a NLR single monitor stand, which I pimped to use two monitors and DIY made it 10cm wider to fit with the Flight Pro Stand. I keep you updated on mounting the Virpil Apache grip and collective to the Seat….

keybinding for raising/lowering the sun visor?
corbu1 replied to Ala12Rv-Muscat's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Did I miss here something? Didn‘t know we have an adjustable helmet sunvisor? -
Hello @Turd Ferguson, I‘m personally very happy with the NLR Pro rig. It offers a lot of mounting possibilities for your flightsim hardware. And if you are willing to do some DIY you can enhance even more. You should note it is made of metal not aluminium, so it‘s a heavy piece. I just have to see how I will add the virpil collective, but I‘m sure I‘ll find a solution and will provide you some pictures. In the meantime this is how it actually looks….. So, hopefully I will get it in germany soon as well…..

I‘m so jealous…no shipping for me so far. Germany here. But it looks very nice. Have fun with it!

Ok, Danke! Ich sehe mir das mal an.

Funktioniert DCS Olympus dann mit Dedicated Servern nicht? Wäre neugierig und würde Olympus auch mal ausprobieren.

You checked if you have a double binding on the controls settings with your throttles? Also Rotor Brake is off? -
wip How make do I make the wingman do anything in SP
corbu1 replied to Count Sessine's topic in DCS: AH-64D
I wouldn‘t say they are useless. You should treat them with care. I also get an unable answer when ordering ground targets. I think this happens most when he should engage and myself hasn‘t engrave so far. If I engage a group of tanks or armored vehicles doing the first shot, then he finds targets and engages as well. Sometimes it helps when AI wingman doesn’t react, I order him to cover me. Then immediately followed by another order like engage ground targets. I‘m more nervous about AU wingmen tending to engage infantry and light armored vehicles even with rockets in very close range. Which is most times some kind of suicide. I also noticed that Apache AI wingmen tendering engage BMP‘s or BTR‘s with rockets in close range even they got still a full package of hellfires loaded as well. -
Thanks this news! I also preordered them on day one order started.

I have one buttkicker on the front plate of my rig just in front of the pedals. This runs with a original buttkicker amp. the other two are located left and right under my seat. They are connected to a stereo 2 channel amp. It‘s a Fosi Audio BT20A. Soundcard is a external usb Terratec Aureon USB 7.1 PC.
