Next level racing HF8 haptic seat pad & DCS
corbu1 replied to markturner1960's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Turn up effects strength on the HF8. Do this with the control device connected to the seat. There‘s the big red on/off button. Rotate the button until the led light aside wants from red to green. In SSA you could also move up the slider to the top in the small window showing the jetseat (the seat handler window). -
Next level racing HF8 haptic seat pad & DCS
corbu1 replied to markturner1960's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Most important is setting it to forcefeel in tab 2 of settings app. Otherwise the HF8 will generate no effects. Effects strength settings depend on personal preferences and your hardware setup might be important as well. I run my pad simultaneously with buttkicker basshakers. And therefore my settings are different as I‘d only use the pad. -
With SSA you can run 6 motors. The NLR software uses the 8 motors of the HF8. I run it with SSA. I like the helicopter specific effects and can run it simultanously with buttkicker bassshakers.

Well, yes. Easiest would be attaching a throttle as it is shown on your picture on the side mouse plates. The front flight plate has a lot of prepared screwholes as well. See pictures as they might fit…. If it helps you can download the assembly manuals as pdf files from NLR website.

Not 100% sure what you mean with front half. you mean front half at the left side panel? As said I did some DIY pimping into it with NLR parts included in the simpit but used them for me as not originally intedended by NLR. I added one of the NLR mounting plates in front of my throttle panel. To make it more sturdy I attached a metal profile I had at home and attached it under it. So you could attach another throttle there. Did the same in the other direction and mounted the Virpil control panel to it. Next upgrade step is removing the desk. Got a monitor stand today for my two monitors.

CH-47 Chinook with cargo system is great news.

It‘s a TM cougar MFD. But no screen. Simply the MFD mounted on a metal base plate. The base plate has some mountings has also the mountings for the TM Warthog grips attached. The whole thing is covered with a black cover for a TM Warthog throttle I bought from amazon.

Next level racing HF8 haptic seat pad & DCS

I can only speak for the AH-64D in use with simshaker for aviators (SSA). You will feel the gun very well…depends on the settings you choose in SSA. -
This is my setup with the pit actually. With some try and a few base plates I had I found quite lot possibilties for mounting all my drvices. I have actually preordered the virpil AH-64 collective and I‘m sure I found a mounting solution for it.

not planned Crew exit animations don't grab rifles upon exit
corbu1 replied to Caveman655's topic in Wish List
I recently found out it‘s nice for doing postflight walkaround the AC in VR. Would also enjoy it for preflight walkarounds, then climbing into the cockpit. So missionstart would happen outside the AC. Maybe that‘s doable? For folks don‘t like this feature there could be a launch mission in cockpit in DCS AC special options menu….. -

Yep, I loved the new nvg in last version so much. Looking under the goggles and seeing the instruments was really nice….. Hope we get it back!

fixed 2.9 VR Spotting Dots - can't disable ?
corbu1 replied to Phantom_Mark's topic in View and Spotting Bugs
If this is it. There’s a new option in the gameplay tab of DCS options menu. it is called something with improved view spot? -
Hapticonnect is the software by buttkicker itself. I use a NLR HF8 pad and now have three buttkickers. I run the HF8 pad via simshakers for aviators and noticed some strange behaviour then with hapticonnect for the buttkickers. When hapticonnect is already running then simshakers doesn‘t start automatically with launch of DCS. I have to start it manually then. @=Andre=I‘d like to purchase sour soundmodule for SSA. How can I do this?

Buttkicker Pro - Optimal HaptiConnect Settings?
corbu1 replied to Cobra_B39's topic in Controller & Assignment Bugs
Hello, has anybody some experience using the BT Hapiconnect software with helicopters (Apache in particular) in DCS? The software seems to offer a lot of different settings, but they seem to bo optimized for fixed winged and not for helos. I have 2 BT mini concert attached to my simrig‘s seat and a third one to my pedlas plate on the rig. I have also a NLR HF8 pad running with SSA. -

Some teasing on the Apache Collective.

100% fuel is a bit much with the weapon load out, I think. Even before 2.9 I didn‘t load more than 70% fuel on Caucasus map….with this weapon config

Maybe it‘s not only the 3D modelling and systems coding important for the CH-47F. I hope there‘s something more going on with adding features like troops transport sitting in the cargo bay or enhancing the slingloading feature in DCS and other things. These could also need some time for making happen.

Not the NLR. Boeing edition….but I‘m actually building my new simpit with the NLR Flight stand pro and Flight seat pro combo. It‘s more expensive than the Boeing military edition and above 1000$. But this combo offers more possibilities adding joysticks, button boxes and other stuff. I‘m still not finished building the pit but here are some pics of WIP…
