Awesome! very rare! +1

Right, we must use the f-16 as a stepping stone to programming and modeling such a modern work of art. I personally am rooting for the tornado IDS, but hey, what is the possibility of that getting released, huh?
-
Can't imagine being modeled next for a number of reasons. They seem to have the jet fighter and afterburner down beautifully, but you would need to model radar and a2a combat again, and model it more realistic than FC2. You would also need to model a radar with a2a and a2g modes. and finally, front seat and back seat, I won't say anything more :) . And since grey beauty here can get from the bottom of the map to the top ( probably with a few fuel tanks ), they might even have to face the prospect of a DYNAMIC CAMPAIGN! I expect ED to take little "bites" into their meat first and make just a front seat back seat fighter without any radar, such as a earlier Tornado IDS, then make a radar fighter ( F-16 ) then combine all their knowledge into the F-15E. just my thoughts!

WOW! I got bored and wen't into the editor, where I saw "F-15E" as an aircraft option. I thought "hmm, never seen this one before" and set up a simple route with 9 t-72s and a strela that I programmed the thing to attack with Mavs and LGBs. I started the mission, and the first thing I thought when I saw the model with A sniper XR loaded underneath it was " I am going to kill ED if they do not make this next!" ( I know you won't, just exaggerating :) ) like seriously! I peeked into the engine turbines and found detailed fans spinning on both ends!I then watched the thing take out a strela and a t-72, then turn to a base without emptying its LGBs which I barely noticed because I was so addicted to the model. Then I wanted to see the damage on this thing so I put a route over a SA-15 TOR, and then after the missile hit, I watched the wing shred and the pilots eject, and while it was spiraling towards the ground, I saw the wing shred even further, and the nose cone flew off, revealing a beautiful radar, then finally, the crash. W-O-W!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One last thing, can you use CH pedals with the hog?
-
O.K and this is controlled by that option that I can't remember its' name in the "gameplay" window, right?
-
O.K, so what are the differences in between the 1.0 and 1.01 trim again, thanks.
-
O.K, so I solved the technology side of my problem in black shark. guess how I did that! I downloaded 1.01c and she flies so much more smoother now and is so easier to put in a hover. also, the trim works like it should. Now, try to side the part of the problem on MY side. Cheers!

Thrustmaster Warthog & Rudder Pedals?
jazjar replied to Gonzo01's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Well now some of you said you had them shipped to the U.S, well, where is the site you got them from? -
So the hog doesn't have ffb?
-
I don't think the unit symbols on pg. 311 of the manual are modeled yet, so we just have to contact JTACS right now.
-
hmm. I know some of you x52 lovers out there say that the x52 works fine for them. well, it doesn't work fine for me. I was just playing the "controlled hover" training mission, and found the center spring to make fine control adjustments impossible. If I apply to little force, the stick doesn't move and keeps me in the status quo, and if I push just a tad harder, the stick creaks and I have yet another unwanted movement from the chopper. With trimming, I press trim, try to neutralize the cyclic, and then the aircraft makes some sort of unwanted movement. This is incredibly annoying. I remember someone on here saying that if you suck with the x52, you'll suck with the hog. I don't believe that theory ( no offense :) ) They are two different sticks. the hog is far more accurate and has force feedback, allowing for you to move nothing after you trim; not the same deal with the x52. The hog, unlike MY x52 :) can make small control inputs close to the base easily. This is the reason I'm selling my x52 on ebay and getting a hog.

Very interesting, Deagel is wrong. hmm.
-
It would add a lot more immersion if the JTAC in this mission worked. I lost my hard earned :) A-G kill score when I accidentaly sho some Mavs at Georgian T-72s

I'd imagine in real life most of a charlie hog pilot's info would come from the SADL. The AWACS, ABCCC, and JTAC can D-Link you info on enemy positions before you get assignments. ( Remember, pg. 311 ). I remember specifically from the JTAC manual in the A-10 manuals section of the forum details that JTACs in RL lase the target, upload the info from the rangefinder to their toughbook :) set the type of unit on their toughbook, then upload this info onto the SADL, which the A-10 and F-16 pilots can see, meanwhile, going to a gateway platform ( C-130 ) which uploads the info to Link-16. Whew, that is all I know for now.

You mean the FLIR is WIP? I thought beta 3 fixed it.
-
Also, why does the Litening have such bad image quality, this is WIP, I hope.
-
I'd imagine that once ED implements the datalink symbols on pg. 311 of the manual on the TAD, you'd be able to hook the enemy aircrraft symbols and make them your SPI.
-
Did you have to use MRFCS, or is that not modeled yet?
-
O.K. So here is my understanding. We have the physical litening AT pod, but older software. As for the CBUs, they are more effective in RL, but just need a lot of "fine tuning" in the game. please correct me if I am wrong.
-
why did that appear two times?
-
hmmm... the Northrop Grumman flyer for the Litening AT states that it has a "multitarget cueing capability," as well as a datalink on the pod, and well, a lot better resolution than we are getting now with the current in game pod. And i'm just trying to say that the CNU-87 is so ineffective against anything with armor. everything up from BMP-1s are protected. is the current in game model to weak?
-
If you want to play black shark with a hog though, rudders are a necessity
-
1.)Which version of the litening pod are we using on the A-10C? 2.)Why can't we use rockeyes in the A-10C? they are so much better than CBU-87s. When I dropped CBU-87s on a group of BMP-1s, I used each and every one of my CBU's on them and they didn't pop the BMPs. I then had a F-16 drop Rockeyes on the BMPs, and all it took was a near miss to set the BMPs on fire. I then moved the rockeyes on to T-72Bs, with the same result as with the BMPs, one hit one kill with the submunitions.
