Why is this campaign mission so tough? I can't get past it. I mean, what are the things that you must accomplish in the mission to get a score above 50? My wingman almost always gets killed, leaving me at the whim of the Russian Battalions' air defenses. I almost always get killed by them, while the ineffective maverick missiles I fire kill only about 2/3 the targets I shoot at, so I can't make that big a dent in 80 vehicles. Sorry for the outburst, but can someone please explain this DEVILISHLY :) tough mission to me?

sorry for asking, but is the active pause supposed to let the rest of the world around go on like nothing ever happened while only you plane is hovering in mid-air? Seems kind of creepy, I can still launch missiles and drop bombs, and my confused wingman doesn't know what to do. Just making sure.

You know, I remember in DCS Black Shark in some special cases, that you could use the mouse for both zoom and panning, AND clicking. you would pan a bit, and the mouse would move to the left or right of the screen, and I really liked that. Shame they can't implement it in DCS A-10C

For me the Hs are much better than the Ds. They have equal lock on range and have much better res. than the crappy D FLIR.

I have a great curiosity for Russian ground vehicles, notably the T-72B, all their SHORADS, and everything else :) and I always wonder how the crews on the inside work them. I was just wondering if anyone had a link to an English-translated technical manual for one of the above, just interested.

Hey, ED, do you plan to implement the symbols I mentioned in the Final Release?

Hey, according to page 313-312 of the manual, there are supposed to be 4 different symbols on the TAD. I only see one of them regularly, shouldn't these help SA?

Yes, it has the throttle, USB and everything for 50 bucks, it will probavly be on ebay, there's someone else who wants this so I can't ensure you will have it.

Usually, in real life, they don't arm you with six mavs. The a-10 has that capability, but it is rarely used. You would normally arm up with four of them ( in RL ). And by the way, my descriptions of ED incorrecltly moddeling the calvary troop were correct, but my guidelines for fixing them were a little off. I took the structure of a cavalry squadron from M1 Tank Platoon 2, from the section titled "Armored Cavalry Regiment" and then went on DCS A-10C and noticed that the unit in Georgia was a Brigade Combat Team! I went on to Wikipedia and found out the real structure for the "recon element" and found out that it was very different from that of an ACR. So, ED's representation is still a little off, but as I said, a lot of potential for that mission. ;)

The best way to not get shot down is to not get shot at in the first place ;)

I'll bet most of that radar is still top secret, so probably ED can't model it.

Making a wild guess here, if it is released winter 2011, that means that we have DCS: Tornado Gr.4 or whatever ( ahhhh I wish! ) in 2015. How exciting is that, people! :) just kidding!

With all of its' stated features, it sounds like a much better pod than the litening AT we have now.

Hey if you are having trouble with your FLIR, try this. ( I found this solution of the "Will The FLIR Be Improved?" Forum in "Avionics and Weapons" It is my forum :) ) When you are in the FLIR mode, you know, on the OSBs there is a function that selects between "LVL" and "GAIN". There are arrow keys above this OSB and by using them, you can affect the contrast of the FLIR, and from what I have seen with screenshots, the contrast difference is quite marvelous, so please be sure to try this out. When I get the computer back up and running again with Windows 7, I'll be sure to try this!

He probably wants to render the oil pressure gauges non functional, and leave as he said "The basic neccessities for flying like the instruments on the center dash, and some of the basic stuff on the HUD. I guess this is the thing he wants. I have no problem with his idea, but I won't be buying it, no offense. I like glancing down on the obscure fan RPM gauges to watch how the throttle is affecting them to much to do that now :)

Your doing everything right, it's just that you need to signal the JTAC, and then he will tell you about the target once you signal him.
