You lucky! I can't get past the first devils cross or the shore mission because I am always gettin gshot down by something, be it a Mig-29, Shilka, or Osa.

I can't get past mission 1- the F-15 CAP is not capable of defending me from MIG-29s! DId you mod the mission or something?

Sorry, but will there be 202 or the usual 22 bomblets in the CBU-87? And I presume your previous post means that the CBU-97 will be fully graphically modeled?

Wow, amazing, i must have some special skill form SAMs because this morning I just woke up, half-dazedly fired up SAM Simulator, and first, I decided to try and kill the SR-71 with the SA-5 in operation Tallinn, and I get three direct hits on this mission that I hear from people on the SAM Sim foum is a devil to even get the target locked up. Then, on a victory roll, I fire up the Hanoi Linebacker ll mission, which I haven't ever touched, and pull off the feat of all feats: I shoot down six B-52s, each with one missile. That MUST be some natural birth talent right there, aye ;)

I noticed that before you took out the CBU-87 for Beta-4, the bomb wasn't very effective and it inly had 22 submunitions, instead of the 202 submunitions it actually has. Are you going to fix both of these issues for Beta 6?

Oh.... so I can't download it right into my tracks folder, o.k will try that.

DPICM DPICM, for those of you that don't know, is a type of artillery round that splits in midair and releases approximately 88 multi-purpose bomblets over an area. I was just wondering if whether the team would comtemplate adding it in for a later DCS module, the current HE rounds are more for show than effectiveness. I didn't bother asking if it could be added into DCS a-10C for final release for fear of the red-bold-underlined warnings from the mods :) . Just asking!

I'll enjoy the new version of SAMSIM with the SA-5VE Vega to pass the time. You should look at the manual, I had trouble wrapping my head around the concepts he put in there, and didn't pay any attention at all to the buttons the first time around. Just saying, go out and try it! ;)

WHy is he able to kill that T-72 with so few rounds?! I have to do at least two passes with a rather long burst each time. Did they adjust gun effectiveness in Beta 5 as well?

O.K, do not take my word for granted, but I think that 320-100 means ( think 360=north 180=south etc..) that the JTAC wants you to make your approach to the target so that when you are lined up with the target with your nose facing him, your heading tape should read a three digit number BETWEEN 320-100 degrees. Just my opinion. You are not making it hard, just being inquisitive and asking in the right place ;) .

I remember my first good, quality, coordinated turn in the KA-50. I had actually got the aircraft in a careful, coordinated straight flight with the help of AP, ( work with, not against it ;) ) then depressed the trim button and turned to the right with the help of the rudders, and I nearly cried out in joy, because for the first time in two years of owning Black Shark, I actually had control over the turn! I then steadied my self out on a reciprocal bearing to the one I had just been on, and reengaged AP. This was after two years of flying combat missions where I basically forgot I had such things as rudders, and didn't bother to trim the aircraft at all. My flying was sloppy, and my closest thing to a over was at a speed of around 20 km/h, and I could barely aim my Vikhrs properly. That occasion which I just described didn't occur again because Vista crashed, and my copy of DCS BS won't install properly on Windows 7.

When I click the "install" button on the autorun screen, I get this message while the installer is running the integrity check: "Installer integrity check has failed. Common causes include incomplete download and damaged media. Contact the installer's aurhor to obtain a new copy. More information at: http://nsis.sf.net/NSIS_Error" I am installing with windows 7 after an abrupt crash with Vista, which had an installed Black Shark copy on it which I did not uninstall before 7 was installed. ( note, the crash was independent from Black Shark itself. )

O.K well, can someone from ED explain the reason we have "hostile air defense forces" and "hostile aircraft" on the SADL on p. 313 of the manual?
