  3. I have a question, I had to do a fresh install of windows, so I need to re-download every darn app again from scratch. Pimax installed the Pimax Play 1.34.1, is the one that supports Open XR? If it is what apps do I need to install to keep running Open XR, I had Open XR Tool Kit, Open XR Switcher, Pimax Open XR, Quad Views, on my old setup, just don't know what I need with this version. Thanks

  7. I'm sorry this is still driving crazy, I tried all the settings Maddaawg, posted but that just makes it worse. When I toggle my hat switch back and to the left it just swivels my view around to pointing directly down at the seat with his posted settings. I'm using the Beta 5a version, all I want is a snap view 80 degrees over my left or right shoulder. as it stands now with my settings, I get a slewing effect out the opposite side of the cockpit while trying to look back left or right, rather than a stationary snap view over my shoulder. Any ideas, how to fix this I would greatly appreciate. I have my views set to work on my hat switch back and to the left or right, release and should snap to centered forward view. The API is at the top of the list. These simple settings worked perfect with the version prior to 5a. Thx
  8. You must have some good mojo Calvin every time you respond to a complaint, I get a reply from Pimax. I received an email this morning confirming that my replacement headset has been shipped, which is good as I was starting to have withdrawal symptoms. Thanks again for offering your assistance to help, I appreciate it. Interestingly, I don't even have a ticket number anymore, I was just communicating directly with Pimax support for the last 2 months via email.
  9. Thank you Calvin, it's not like they don't have a warehouse in the US. I shipped the headset to San Jose, CA and last time I checked we don't recognize China's holidays, but then, who knows in California.

  12. Pimax, really needs to do something about their customer service! They ask to me to return my headset for a replacement, which I did they received it a week ago, as I see through the tracking number on the shipment. I have not received anything from Pimax, as to when they plan to replace the headset, they just don't respond to emails. This is really starting to get frustrating!

  14. Calvin.Pimax, Yes, I have been in communications with Pimax tech support since the beginning of July. Now to top off the issues, yesterday while returning the headset back to the original lenses as the replacements were considerably worse, the little brass threaded grommet that the screw goes into that holds the lenses in place fell out inside the headset. I was initially wondering why the screw wasn't tight in the right lens when I first swapped out the lenses, it was because the brass grommet wasn't secured properly in the headset and must have been just spinning. So now I have no way to secure the right lens in place. As much as I like this headset, I'm not very impressed with Pimax's quality control!
  15. No, don't have foveated rendering enabled. had to lower local dimming to the lowest setting to get it to work correctly. The pixelation is way worse with the replacement lenses they sent me, going to put the original ones back in, problem seems to be really magnified around the clouds.

  17. I am needing some insight please. I've had my Crystal light, local dimming version for a couple months now, and love the clarity I see with it, but right from the beginning I was noticing like a pixelation issue around the outside area of the sweet spot, it would be a small area that would come and go in different places. I also have an issue of when trying to fly at night it's like looking through a fog or through frosted lens, everything is washed out and blurry. I contacted Pimax tech support, they said it was due to faulty lens and would send me replacement lens, well almost months later I received the replacement lens yesterday. Last night I tested with the new lens installed and still have the same issues but one thing I did have happen was when I loaded into a nighttime flight the headset loaded a clear night view for a few seconds and then reverted back to the washed-out foggy view. I emailed Pimax support telling them the issues were not resolved with the new lenses; now they want to send another set of lenses saying the replacement set must also be defective. Personally, I don't think it's anything to do with the lenses and it's a headset problem but I'm certainly no expert on how these headsets work. What do you guy's think the issue is, headset or lenses? Thanks for any advice

  19. Wow, I get one thing fixed and then there's another one comes along. For some reason while within a plane flying my mouse pointer just disappears, thus I no longer can operate any of the cockpit switches. When I first start a flight the mouse pointer works fine, then a few minutes in it just disappears, if I hit the ESC key, it works fine on that screen, just not in the plane. It's not an "out of focus" warning thing", I have the keep the mouse on screen option checked. If I quit and re-start the mission, it just does it again. Has anybody experienced this issue. Thx
  20. Every ticket I opened "all spring related" was responded to a one to two business days or so later with the same stupid request, which was to reiterate exactly what I had requested. Turn around usually amounted to around 3 or 4 days to get a resolution. Yesterday was the first time ever that there was someone actually on the support chat. But trying to make the simple suggestion that their springs should be added to their online store was a waste of time, between their robotic answers and which I can only assume them having only the slightest grasp of the English language, while following a strict script, fell on deaf ears. So, with no other way to contact the company other than their ticket system, good luck getting them to dd anything to their online store. Happy to hear you've had good experiences with them, I certainly don't share the sentiments.

  22. Thank you actually_fred, I deleted my old version and upgraded to the beta5a version, which was a dream to install compared to the older versions. The only problem I'm having is when I look back it throws me outside the cockpit to one side or the other, any idea how to fix that? I just want to snap view 80* left and right behind me, to check my 6, nothing to elaborate. I have 3 fused vertebrate in my neck from a misspent youth, that limits my head rotation, so this app is absolutely awesome. Thx
  23. Be prepared, I have had a problem with their junk springs breaking ever since I purchased my Orion 2 HOTAS Max, I think I'm on the 4th one in 2 years. They shipped me springs under warranty for free at first, but my last call for springs My stick was off warranty, WinWing charged me $70 to get 4 springs shipped to the US. I asked them if I could purchase them anywhere within the US and was told no they were proprietary to them, and only could be purchased through them. I'm happy someone else made this post, cause every time I brought up the subject "not on the DCS forum" all I heard was no one other than me had this problem and I must be abusing the flight stick, which I certainly do not. I flight WW2 fighters so the inputs may be a little less subtle than flighting jets but by no means should be breaking springs so often. Not a WINWING fan.
  24. I upgraded to the Pimax Crystal Light, and ever since my XR Necker Safer has stopped working. I can see the pilots head move left or right in the mirror but my view doesn't change, it worked perfectly fine with my G2, and still works perfectly fine within IL-2. DCS is listed in the app screen along with IL-2. Any advice on how to get this working again, sure would be appreciated.
  25. Did you ever get this figured out? I'm having the exact same problem, I'm using the Pimax crystal light.
