Well it wasn't supposed to be a wind up or tongue in cheek, I just can't get this product to work and I didn't really know anything about it. Ok so it's just me, I used to fly this aircraft in IL2 Sturmovik and thought that is was going to be the same. Alright I must have sounded very stupid but I thought it was broke because it was nothing like IL2...Oh well Mizzy

I have just bought this product because it was a reasonable price, well my husband bought it for me but anyway, I have discovered that this aircraft and it's simulation is broken completely !! You can't take off without crashing all the time. I have not been bothered with my flight simulations for several years but I was always able to fly all the other simulations with no problem. This P51 simulation doesn't work, it skids all over the place and doesn't do what it's supposed to do. Is ED (whom I have loads of respect for) going to fix this aircraft I just bought !! I am working shifts at the moment and like a little relaxation with my flight simulators. Thank you in advance. Mizzy

Awh yeah, thank you Hungryjet, I thought they were lost. Anyone know how to add them to the DCS world ?? I don't understand it's file structure !! Mizzy

Couldn't stand the bright terrain, very unatural. I haven't really done anything other than sharpen the image with a high quality programme and contrast adjustment with the same. A few other things as well. It's not finished, in fact I have only started :-) Mizzy

Another problem, does anyone know how to open the archives and re-stuff them ? I use winrar and it says access denied when trying to extract them. Mizzy

Thank you Gentlemen, I have sussed out how it works now. I actually use 'Paintshop Pro' but found a program called DXTBMP to separate the alpha channels from the BMP when converting from dds :-) Right, all I have to do now is do some arty farty stuff, wish me luck :-)

Where did you get that logic? ED are dammed if they speak and it's taken longer to release or dammed if they don't speak because it evidently gives the 'impression' it's going to take longer :-) How about this, how long is a piece of string....! It will be done when it's done I am sure. Mizzy

Hello there Diveplane :-) yes been a long time but my computer wasn't fast enough to play my sim games and real life became expensive !! Not exactly Hamblue, but it's helpful. I used to use a CDDS extractor to take out and replace my skins but that doesn't work so I am looking for a similar tool if one exists ? Mizzy

Hello, I am so out of the loop in DCS but wish to return doing artwork and tinkering about as I do with flight simulation. I have no interest in combat playing as I use DCS as a flight simulation only. What I wish to know is how you can do skins and artwork with the new format. I can't seem to find how to extract and replace skins for aircraft anymore. What tools do I need to do this ? Much appreciate any help. Thank you. Mizzy

I have used auto, manual, opened the content and used every alternative, i have used full admin rights, compatibility modes set to Xp with every permutation checked the box with admin rights..you name it but it will not start to install :-(

I cannot install Lock on Ver 1.0 from the original CD, therefore I can't install Flaming Cliffs1 2or 3. I am using Windows 7 64 bit OS, can someone please help because this having to install an obsolete game just to install Flaming Cliffs is a pain in the arse.

Unfortunately real life has taken much of my time away from flying in computer games but noticed the new FC3 was out sort of. I couldn't understand the other ones Black shark and A10 thingies, too difficult and I don't fight in any games so no point really learning weapon procedure and killing things. Anyway I digress for no reason. My problem is I had a major computer crash and lost much of my old artwork things in the process, I am wondering if anyone has these artwork I did for the Apache helicopter and Foxbat attached.
