It seems that MiG-17PF isn't MiG-17 in your mind.I didn't say I don't want MiG-17 in DCS.

DCS: Me 262 Discussion (Development on hold currently)
dcn replied to NineLine's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
I guess it's Bf 109 E. -
Mig-19P's radar was RP-1 originally then upgraded to RP-5. The radar of MiG-17PF seems controversial, some sources said the radar was RP-1 then upgraded to RP-5. I use DCS more as a study sim,so I don't care much about whether it is useful.
-
I said this more from the perspective of a consumer.I mean I hope I buy a module and get MiG-17F and MiG-17PF. Yeah,I have. Do you mean MiG-17PF?The radar of MiG-19P in DCS is RP-5 and the radar of MiG-17PF is RP-2 according to Wikipedia.
-
Since there's already MiG-15bis in DCS,I think MiG-17F doesn't have much difference,wish for a MiG-17PF.

Only taking modules made by ED into account,we have 4 allied aircraft now, plus F6F is 5,while we only have 3 axis aircraft. At least give us Me 262 first.
-
Please no more allied aircraft,we have 5 allied aircraft now, plus F4U-1D,La-7 and F6F is 8,while we only have 3 axis aircraft.

P-47D-30 was released on 5 June 2020 after Fw 190 A-8(released on 7 June 2019) and it doesn't match the map.

I didn't want to say too much in this topic. Why should aircraft modules developed by ED match a thrid party map? It's impractical for ED to add plenty of sub variants of aircraft to DCS.ED developed 7 WWII aircraft modules from 2012 to 2021.It takes ED years to develop a WWII aircraft module while for IL-2 developers they can make 10 aircraft and a corresponding map in 2 years. It's relatively quick for IL-2 to add sub variants. It cost $49.99 for a warbird module in DCS while for IL-2 10 aircarft plus a map cost $79.99 and they have 75% even 85% off. Will you pay $49.99 for a sub variant? If ED made many sub variants, will you pay $49.99 for each sub variant?I would rather pay for new aircraft other than sub variant that doesn't have much difference. And I have to wait for a new aircraft module developed by ED for another few years if ED decided to make a sub variant that doesn't have much difference. If I had to choose a Bf 109,I would pick F-4 or G-2.And I don't think ED cares much about whether a aircraft module 'matches' a map.P-51D was released in September 2012 while the third party Normandy map was released in May 2017,people fly P-51D in modern map for almost 5 years. It also cost ED years to develop a map.The Channel Map,which was developed by ED,was released in June 2020,almost 8 years after the release of P-51D.IL-2 aircraft did have a good 'match' for map, they can fly in historical environment. But for me,I only care about aircraft. In my opinion,DCS WWII focuses on simulating aircraft systems while IL-2 focuses on mutiplayer game.In other words,DCS is a flight simulator while IL-2 is a flight sim game. And ED isn't just developing WWII aircraft modules, they are very busy.So don't bring your IL-2 thinking to DCS.

Players of IL-2 GB have captured ED forum for years and attempt to disturb ED's plan.I believe ED is brilliant and won't be misled by them. What ED should do now is to finish DCS Western Europe 1944-1945 with Me 262 and shift to DCS Pacific Theatre.

LMAO. Aircraft Combat debut Bf 109 K-4 October 1944 Fw 190 D-9 end of September 1944 P-47D-30 November 1944 P-51D-25 1945

This is DCS,not IL-2 BOS.If you really want a Bf 109 with MG 151/20 mounted in nose for multiplayer game,go to play your IL-2 BOS.
-
I agree with you.I would rather ED make Me 262 or Me 410 or Bf 110.

You said what I thought months ago.

What is the aircraft you would like to fly on DCS World?

He 112 please. -
This has confused me for about 3 years. It says 'In normal position the MBG operates in automatic mode.In case of emergency, the handle can be pulled to allow the engine to operate at higher boost pressure than normal',but then it says 'When flying in 'Notzug' mode, boost pressure of 1.55 ATA should never be exceeded! When flying in 'Notzug' mode, engine speed of 2700 RPM should never be exceeded!',this is paradoxical. It also says 'The MBG emergency mode handle switches the MBG to manual operation by cutting off pressurised oil.In case of MBG malfunction,it allows to proceed flight using the manual throttle valve.Normally, this throttle fully opens at 40 degrees of the throttle giving room for further automatic control. In manual mode, its range is extended up to 90 degrees or full throttle level range.Due to engine overstressing, the throttle must not be advanced beyond 2700 RPM or 60 degrees of its travel.',this is paradoxical too.And the 40 degrees of fully opend normal throttle position seems strange,in the table,40 degrees of throttle position only gives about 2300 RPM,does this mean engine speed can only reach about 2300 RPM at full throttle position with MBG emergency mode handle not pulled? And in the table,it says the engine has an emergency power(increased take-off power) at 3250 RPM for permissiable 3 min when throttle position is at 90º command angle, and the engine has a take-off,combat and climb power at 3250 RPM for permissiable 30 min when throttle position is at 90º command angle but it didn't say how to enable emergency power(increased take-off power). Then I found an old version of the manual,it says 'Emergency Power(increased take-off power) 3250 RPM only below 1000m on 213A-G1 by pulling the MBG-emergency pull or as intermediary solution on 213-A RS by operation of a cock in the manifold pressure line.Hereby the manifold pressure increase by 0.2 ata while maintaining constant engine speed/RPM.',why is this description deleted in present manual? Why pulling the MBG emergency mode handle can enable emergency power(increased take-off power)?Didn't it say 'When flying in 'Notzug' mode, boost pressure of 1.55 ATA should never be exceeded! When flying in 'Notzug' mode, engine speed of 2700 RPM should never be exceeded!'? In game test: Full throttle,MBG emergency mode handle not pulled,MW-50 not enabled Full throttle,MBG emergency mode handle pulled,MW-50 not enabled Full throttle,MBG emergency mode handle not pulled,MW-50 enabled Full throttle,MBG emergency mode handle pulled,MW-50 enabled Description about MBG emergency mode handle in manual Description about power settings in present manual Description about power settings in old manual

Interesting,they changed DCS:X-XX to DCS:XXX-X.
