The Battle of Samar. Specifically, the USS Johnston, USS Samuel B Roberts, USS Hoel, USS Heermann, USS Denis, USS Butler, USS Raymond....and six escort carriers that fought the Yamato, Nagato, Haruna, six heavy cruisers, two light cruisers and 11 IJN destroyers....and turned them away.

Don't feel bad. I was in 50+ hours before I realized that I didn't have to use the emergency fuel cut off to shut down for a repair or re-arm... Sometimes, it's the little things that stump us.

Haven't read through all 51 pages yet, but in case it hasn't been mentioned, the ships of Taffy 3 deserve another day in the light.

As a former tanker during the Cold War, I would love to see a map of Western Germany, specifically the Fulda Gap area. I was a tanker when the A-10 first came out, and really enjoyed watching them fly around when we were doing maneuvers & co. Tank bustin' at its best.
