The F-18 alignment stops with an error if you disable the parking brake.

It even works if placed on the centerline :D

Made a small training mission witch 2 F18 and 6 Bombers. F18s are loaded with Sparrows and Wingtips. He calls out bandits but even if ordered via radio (my target or bandits) does not engage anything. Did I forget something? The second I let me shoot down from the defenses he calls out RTB. :mad: Flight role is CAP, bombers are "other side" and not friendly. Another quickly made mission he attacked choppers. Both where on NTTR.

Was my impression - in normal flight i love it, but trying to land with it made me switch it of as fast as possible.

THIS! I flew the A10 about 90% of my DCS time because I love choppers but that Kamov just ..I don't know... in a way I only lilke it halfhearted (would die for a AH-64 or 64D if the AI is well made or its manageable to do both roles like in LB2) and the FC2 modules wheren't my thing. But the A10 was so slowwwww... Everything took ages. So i bought about every faster module I could find. Wasn't happy with much of them because I hate navigation in the F-5 - otherwise a finde module, and the Viggen - was fast but lacked other stuff I missed. But then came the harrier and I was happy - at first. Had not that much room for weapons, ok it was faster but I had only minutes on target before BINGO called. Thought I'm doning stuff wrong - too fast all the time? Where can I save fuel? Can I fly more economically? Higher? Lower? Slower? Nope. Took a jet-break and jumped into the A10 again, circling and shooting and bombing and all that stuff like it felt forever and had still some rounds left an tons of fuel when I ran out of targets. Wasn't me. Was the damm jets. Enough for now - back into the Hornet, learning refueling :D -

I have that problem in some instand missions but not in a editor started mission where I do the startup myself. Maybe crosscheck the manual startup procedures? -
The speed indicator in the HDU is capped at 900 and don't rises above that. Is that a feature or some error?

Because the new carrier has some ..problems.. Sideway catapults for example that are build into the elevators. Layout was 6 AI Hornets and an AWACS (1x2 CAP + 1x4 Strike + E2)

DCS crashed on me the first time since ages... and it produced a diagnosis file to upload to the support but gave no hint where to do that. Is there a special web form? Only on demand? Is there a report-auto-upload-feature somewhere?

I recently tried the turorials and after having the ADF Signal on Radio 1 I could only change it's volume with the Volume 2 knob and not the Volume 1 knob. The Singal was entered in Radio 1. Purpose?

Yep came here to ask the same. Latest Version as of posting. BDUs deployment as in the : 1 Pickle, 4 dropping (1 each rail) with a setting of 1 QTY 1 MULT Same Problem with CBU and Clusters. CBU has sometimes the strange phenomenon that the first drop is a single and the next are all others it seems. Maybe has something to do with what CFlip said. -
Then you never really experienced real dialup I guess :music_whistling:

Would make it worse if it's not perfectly communicated, and communication isn't something that isn't improvable at ED, and even then you would have a huge pile of "why they, why not me".

When stuck it's ok - when there is work to do it's a different thing. And depends on the job too :)

Please tell us, when it's finished, if you end up with THE BIRD or with 2.5.1 and a huge redownload.

Waiting for the weekend to have my fun and praying that THE bird is useable on my pc, because a new one is years away. Have fun guys tomorrow and I hope It works because you now the drill: Never play on patchday.

Harriers? Sadly not - the always want to VTO(L) and won't get above ground or burn so much fuel that they take off (if at all), call bingo, eject and crash immediately. From the Tawara they take off easily with loads I never have a chance to get airborne on the other side....

I trying to make some Harrier missions and stumbled upon some strange behavior and maybe some of you have already a solution for that. - AI Harriers always try to VTOL regardless of payload, even when they have the biggest runway available. They sit there with 99% thrust until the have burned enough fuel to be light enough but never try a normal runway takeoff. - AI Harriers drop their gunpod when engaged in A2A combat - even if they have no IR missiles. But the gunpod has the A2A mode I thought so it should stays on the Harrier as weapon? - Choppers placed on the Tarawa to start at the same time as the Harriers (2x Harrier, 1x UH-60) spawn hovering on the spikes on the front left side of the carrier and start there like normal. Harriers stay despawned until the chopper left the deck. Or the Harriers spawn first and the chopper later on the same strange spot. Even if there is enough room on the flight deck for all three crafts. Ideas? (Except to wait for patches?)
