  1. Anyone tried to adapt this for the harrier?
  2. I trying to make some Harrier missions and stumbled upon some strange behavior and maybe some of you have already a solution for that. - AI Harriers always try to VTOL regardless of payload, even when they have the biggest runway available. They sit there with 99% thrust until the have burned enough fuel to be light enough but never try a normal runway takeoff. - AI Harriers drop their gunpod when engaged in A2A combat - even if they have no IR missiles. But the gunpod has the A2A mode I thought so it should stays on the Harrier as weapon? - Choppers placed on the Tarawa to start at the same time as the Harriers (2x Harrier, 1x UH-60) spawn hovering on the spikes on the front left side of the carrier and start there like normal. Harriers stay despawned until the chopper left the deck. Or the Harriers spawn first and the chopper later on the same strange spot. Even if there is enough room on the flight deck for all three crafts. Ideas? (Except to wait for patches?)

  7. Anyone who owns the paid DLC campaigns can say if they are affected too? Are they playable / usable?
  8. I recently made me a F-5 vs random-jet training mission and to test the triggers i set the F-5 to Excellent AI and watched. Regardless of the opponent encountered he used his two AA missiles about 10-15 seconds AFTER a shooting opportunity in close combat and shot them into the ground or straight into the empty sky not even near the opponent (Headon - pass - scissors - crossing - opponent at 5o clock again - missile away) That's not working as intended is it?

  10. I had a idea for a small mission or a microcampaing and need "true" recon for that but ran into a dead end - maybe you can give me a hint or even a solution. I need to make sure that the player has really seen a ground unit (A-10 TGP, KA-50 Screen, no idea for the F-5 - maybe Cockpit Recon Mode) and react to that "spotted" event. For the moment a raised/increased flag would be enough. Guess I have to go through all of getDetectedTargets and see if the specified units are "in that list"? I know a bit C++ but lua I never touched. I found some detection scripts but they where for "sam has detected player" and not for "player has detected". One solution was "moving trigger zone" and "F10" but that would be my least favorite solution because there would no effort to be made to really find that damm thing on the ground just fly-there-stay-there-press-f10.

  12. Ramp start except for quick testing some stuff. Bored as hell until the 4.0.0.8 marker => Any way to speed up the fix? 40% of my startup time is waiting until that dammn nav pos fix is ready. And there is nothing left to do while waiting, even DSMS and countermeasures are programmed. AI A-10C make a cold startup in about 1/4th the time - wonder how.
  13. I found this post that nicely explains all values. I now have a problem with a mission I build atm. I have one escort that works fine and one "Follow Group" command that screws up completely. X/Y/Z Settings are at 1000 (all three) for the escort and for the "Follow Group" command on -1000 for all. Should put the groups around me but with a nice distance between the flights. I tried 250 and 500 as positive and negative values also. No change... The situation right now is attached... This is the distance he has AFTER he used the speedbrake to slow down :D Killed my number 2 and shortly after I lost my left wing... Ideas?

  15. Bah ... had great hopes in this addition but there is nothing happening since i-don't-know-when that I have start to accommodate with the feeling of "there will be no F-15E ever" - to bad, was my favorite. Any other sim that has a nice F-15E to fly except Janes?

Nice to see so totally different jobs and people hanging out here :thumbup: On my side: Salesperson in a bicycle shop in germany but also part of my job there: IT-Support (Network of 15+ PC with 2 different ERP), Product Photography, some MySQL/PHP-Programming and Apache setup from time-to-time and clearly be a mechanic in the workshop also and the office part of sitting on a desk for hours. Its never boring with this mixup of tasks :D
  19. Sorry for reviving a old thread but... ...someone got this to work with LGBs (GBU-12 in this case). Tried the different MK-8x to see if base ammunition was the right thing but none triggered and LGBs dont show up in the trigger list.

  25. This are tuts for the external skin. It works a bit different since the cockpit textures are in another file format and that is my main problem. Still thanks for the links since he quite nice describes the work for the outer ones - maybe I'll start a skin also :D But still in need of a good tut for cockpit and dds-file modding. Thought about that also but I would love to have it in the 3D pit also/first.
