  1. alright, i also prefer mavs and will practice using VIS mode PRE mode has been my go to, works well when mavs are boresighted. also using force correlation and area mode enables one to achieve long distance hits +- 19 miles.
  2. hi what weapon / tactic would you use to engage slow moving gun boats? yesterday i strugged with this and the cloud cover was 8,000ft + so must be able to identify, track them (since they are moving) and then lock on with some of the other weapon. i found the tgp pod was hard to use to find them, then it does not always tracking them with a moving point track and also the maverick seeker struggled to lock on to them and i cannot use maverick in area mode since they are moving. would you use laser guided bombs or rather rockets to manually try and aim + shoot at them? thank you
  3. Hi, okay it seems to work, but i could have sworn i was flying and it was in Nav mode with a red dash through the range (top left) even though i had a waypoint selected ...
  4. Align is flashing and RDY also flashing in the DED but no range and a funny INU?
  5. Hi Sometimes i cannot get the EHSI to work, when selecting a steerpoint there is a red dash through the range indicators. why does this happen? what have i forgot to setup / turn on?
  6. Hi Please send me some JTAC guides, I ca communicate with JTAC ground forces but not sure how / when to shoot laser guided bombs and in what direction to fly? How do my existing steerpoint relate to a JTAC?
  7. how do i make thie mfd brighter - i clicked on the symbology rocker top right many times but it does not appear to work?
  8. Hi Where can i obtain a list of all possible RWR codes? I spotted 40 and E3 recently, which i cannot find in the HARM codes table - what are those two and how / what weapons can i employ to take these out? thank you
  9. yes, i also inspected the base_keyboard_binding.lua script and the problem - as far a i understand is this: for example Num+ is bound to a button pressed and button up command. so if you do not press and release the button extremely quickly we cannot simulate smooth throttle control via keyboard or controller button press ... pressed = iCommandThrottleIncrease, up = iCommandThrottleStop, there must be another implementation / code that one can hook pressed = ... to to increase / decrease throttle only 1 / 100th
  10. Hi Can i configure the .lua files so that pressing a key or button increase the throttle by one step only and not a couple of steps as it currently depends on how long you press the keyboard button ? i rather want it to increase once and rather have the user tap the keyboard button say 10 times to increase the throttle by 10 'steps'? i notice that Num+ is bound to a pressed event ""iCommandThrottleIncrease" and an up event "iCommandThrottleStop" similarly PageUp is bound to a down button event called "iCommandPlaneAUTIncreaseRegime" what i want to know is how can i create a similar button for example to bind to a down button even that decrease throttle by 1 (out of 100) steps? so if i want to decrease throttle by 20 % i must press the button 20 times? thank you
  11. Hi I have recently started using countermeasures in auto mode. I notice that more chaff's are dispensed when in auto mode. Why is this, since i have program 1 setup to dispense both 5 chaffs and 5 flares? thank you
  12. Thank you, this is a good basic setup I included additional mappings for 1. CMS LEFT 2. Show Indicators 3. Active Pause 4. Hud Symbology Knob 5. Chaff / Flare Dispense Do you know if we can create a throttle slider using one of the axis on the controller, so that it does not jump back to center position when using an axis on the controller? thank you
  13. Hi While flying an F10 or setting up on the runway, can one click on a point on the F10 map and have that loaded to a new steerpoint automatically?
  14. Hi I also want to know how do you CZ without a TGP? In case of simple GPS / Unguided bombs in CCRP mode - without need for a TGP. how would you cursor zero (CZ) the mark point for those? thank you
  15. Thank you for the solution, works as expected!
  16. Hi, thank you. I do input the leading zero for the east coordinates first pair and the trailing zero for the third pair of coordinates
  17. Hello I need some advice. When I click on a stationary ground target on the F10 map and use the bottom left longitude and latitude coordinates and altitude to create a steerpoint, when I arrive at the steerpoint the target is way off the steerpoint and I have to use the Tgp to look around and manually pinpoint the target. Why is this the case? Is there something I must do to create a steerpoint using the F10 map coordinates for a stationary target differently? Thank you
  18. Hi, I tried setting qnh to 29.92 but it made no difference
  19. Deano87 , where do i set the 'mission pressure' thanks in advance
  20. Hi Ok, thanks for the reply. I will try and summarize this better in future. Still learning and most likely missing a piece of the puzzle
  21. Thanks for the reply guys. I have managed to land but i cannot ask for a repair and notice that my aircraft is not even visible on the F10 map anymore? Why would one be able to land but no longer be 'part' of the game?
  22. how do i extinguish a fire on the wing?
  23. Hi I have tried the procedure again using a laser guided bomb, which hits the target. but the HUD 'block' that indicates where the TGP is looking is still not aligned with the mark point? the laser guided bomb hits the target successfully, but i want to understand why the slew 'box' on the HUD is way 'over' the target, even when the TGP video shows that it is point tracking the two targets lower down on the HUD?
