Welcome to JTF-111! We offer: - Handmade wing-wide custom missions - Tuesdays training with our experienced aviators in your squadron airframe - 3 Training servers along - Unique dynamic campaign server - Weekly ops on Saturdays - Most importantly, good people to fly with Currently Recruiting: - F16 - F18 - CH-47F - AH-64D Overview We are focused on handmade PvE missions where we work together as a team to accomplish objectives. Our skilled mission designers produce detailed missions with realistic scenarios to provide the most immersive experience possible in DCS. We operate in the EST time zone, with trainings on Tuesdays and missions on Saturdays at 2000(08:00pm). We feature active F/A-18c, F16c and a helicopter battalion which operates the AH64 and the Kiowa and Chinook. We also on a mission by mission basis's as well including the Harrier, F14B, A10cII and Apache. Many of our members have aviation experience and are former or active duty. A typical mission would be preceded by a detailed mission brief. During the mission, we fly as a flight to the objective, use mulit-ship tactics to accomplish our mission, reform if we separate, and RTB back to base in formation. We use military brevity when possible during missions but are relaxed outside of it. We then review the mission on Tacview afterwards and try to learn from our mistakes. Training night We have four servers available 24/7 with custom-made training scenarios on each of the major maps. These training servers offer static ranges, spawn-able ranges including SAM ranges, red for aircraft, tankers and a BFM area. We do a squadron overview of the intended training goals before hitting the servers and practicing. We also feature a custom dynamic campaign hand built for our servers and available 24/7. Think Foothold or Pretense but scaled to the number of players providing a seamless experience solo or with a group of 20. This campaign features logistics, supply lines, realistic red-for responses and multimap support. You can conduct convoy hunting, anti-ship, SEAD, strike, SCAR and CAP missions. Who we are looking for: Aviation enthusiasts who enjoy engage flying in a group. You do not need to be the best pilot in the world, we would rather have someone who puts forth the effort and regularly participates. We have training materials on everything from ATC comms to BVR tactics to get you up to speed. Our pilots don’t need to complete a complex training regimen prior to be deemed mission ready – just a familiarization to get you familiar with our basic procedures prior to going out. So come, give us a shot. Requirements: - HOTAS - Headtracking or VR - 19 or older - Regular attendance (though we recognize real life comes first) Supercarrier if in our Hornet squadron If you are interested in joining please check out our discord! https://discord.gg/6qAgVgyg2A

So initially I thought that the FCR elevation UP button was literally unclickable with the cursor on the collective, while elevation DOWN was. I was pretty baffled. But while making recordings, I found that I actually can click on the button, but it's just that the "click box" for the button isn't quite where the arrow is So yes I made a bit of a clickbait title lol, but hopefully it'll get some attention. The reason I discovered this is because when using the FCR I'd prefer to use it as HOCAS as possible, meaning I'm using the cursor to bump the radar elevation up and down. I'm in VR, so it's a hassle to grab my mouse, spin it around until I find the yellow cross, and then lean down and click the button. When I could instead just use the cursor on the collective. Anywhere, here's a video and track showing the issue Apache MPD Cursor Click Issue.trk

Total Controls is right now cooking up something new. An Apache MFD frame sized as the real deal. The buttons will be backlit with adjustable lighting. The VID-knob will have a center detent just like in the real helicopter. There will be an option to use it to the left or to the right to avoid input conflicts in Windows. The image shows a mock up, but it is very close tho the final product, however it will be more polished. We can not say an exact price rigth now, but we aim at around 100-120 USD per unit and release it planed to sometime this spring. We will sell discount bundles and separate table mounts.

Hello everyone, A little while ago when the apache got announced i got the idea of making a cockpit for it. I started designing some panels to see how well i would do. I only started using fusion a month prior. My goal is to get a fully functioning pilot station with all switches and buttons that are in the real thing. Everything will be 3d printed and modeled by myself. I do fly in VR so there will be no screens in my cockpit for now . I am posting this here because i thought some of you may like the idea and would be interested in how things would look. So i will be posting picture here of my progress. I have been working on it for a little while now. but the Cyclic grip and collective grip are giving me a headache. not to mention the Tedac grips. If there are more experienced people here who do 3d modeling and have some tips for me PLEASE do share them below! Any tips in general are also very welcome! Thank you,

Have an exportable viewport for the HDU video like the MPDs and UFDs , but with the option to hide the in game HDU. Trying to build a functional HDU replica.

I have a problem with DCS bios and leds, the switches work but not the leds. The leds have been checked to be working. The Arduino library is the latest and so is the DCS bios. The Arduino IDE accepts the code, but the leds do not light. Even the example Master Caution button & led does not work for the led. The code was obtained with Bort help.

I have a problem with multi-monitor configuration. I'm building Apache homepit, and I wanted to try out how mfd works. at first it looked promising, but dcs started to freeze, the screen went white and after a while it returned to normal. So the monitor configuration was correct. The previous f16 pit worked ok. Suddenly, the pictures of both MFDs disappeared. They are no longer visible. When I move the mouse "over" the screens, a yellow cross appears. but otherwise the screen is black. In Windows, the screens work ok. What could this be due to? I reinstalled DCS and Win11 has been updated and the display drivers has been updated too. PLEASE!; and THANKS!!

EUROPEAN BASED - 13th CAB - Combat Aviation Brigade Part of CJTF-13 Joint Task Force Recruiting AH-64D and OH-58D Pilots and CPGs We follow real-life procedures as closely as possible, we use strict radio communications, and train HARD to get to a high level of virtual flying! This type of flight simming is not for everyone, because it requires a certain mindset, time commitment, and motivation to do it right - like holding a stationary hover, applying tactics, and radio communications. If you are looking for short, action-packed missions that are all about killing tanks and risking the helicopter, 13th CAB is NOT the place for you. the 13th CAB is THE PLACE TO BE if: - You are looking for realistic, in-depth planned events that include fighter jets. - You are willing to train in parade and tactical formations. - You are prepared to train the basics like hovering and radio comms to the extent that they become muscle memory and automatisms. - You can take just as much pride in a successful mission without a shot fired, but a safe landing back home, as one with 16 enemy vehicles destroyed. 13th CAB staff provides organized training events and supports you on the way to becoming mission-qualified. The 13th CAB holds its weekly Mandatory Event on SUNDAY @ 1945 CE(S)T (Summer Time 1745Z, Winter Time 1845Z). The 13th CAB holds its weekly Training Sessions on Thursday @ 2030 CE(S)T (Summer Time 1830Z, Winter Time 1930Z). The minimum requirements for joining the 13th CAB are as follows: – Being PROACTIVE, willing to read study material and perfect your skills in your own time, outside of regular training events – Being able to conduct a stationary hover pedal-turn to maneuver around tight forward bases (FOB and FARP). – Demonstrating basic experience using the navigation, sensor, and weapons systems. – Able to speak and understand proficient ENGLISH; communication is key to success, we need to understand each other – Using HOTAS or HOCAS and pedals, as well as head tracking or virtual reality – Owning the aircraft module of your choice and required maps (see CJTF-13 recruitment post) If you are interested in joining us please visit our website or join our discord and simply contact one of our recruitment officers (with CJTF Staff tag) Website: https://tawdcs.org/battalion/cjtf Discord: https://discord.com/invite/tawdcs If you have any questions, feel free to ask here or directly message me on Discord: my ID tag is @eteokles

Hi, Im a 4 year VR Hornet flyer that swapped to Apache recently. Im looking for a squadron that can help me in the learning process. During hornet training I put in the reading and practice hours and I like a good amount of realism (tower, calls, flight procedures, etc). A squadron that has a good balance of realism and laughter/fun is the environment I thrive in. Hope there is a squadron looking for an aspiring Apache (co) pilot.

I've been using the SC with the harrier for years, but since the new deck crew option arrived when I try to re-arm I get a response "Cannot Comply". Tried several options, Hot / Cold start, Wheel Chocks Placed / Removed, parking Hot or take off from runway. This also affects the AH-64d. All units set to same coalition, Changed to a non super carrier and re-arm was possible. Works fine for F18 in the same mission Deck Crew on. Disabled the deck crew in special options and tried again, Re-Arm worked first time.

Updated March 19, 2022: What is RotorOps? RotorOps is a mission generator and gameplay script for DCS: World. At its heart is a game type called Conflict, which requires helicopter operations to win battles on the ground. This is a fun territory capture game that promotes focus on individual 'conflict zones'. At the core of the RotorOps script are AI enhancements that provide a dynamic ground war by causing automatic conflicts between ground forces and a progression of the front line. Key Features: Unique helicopter-focused gameplay Mission Generator windows app Over 100 built-in voiceovers (or for use in mission customization via trigger actions). Splash Damage 2 script for more realistic explosions that no longer require direct hits. CTLD troop and logistics transport automatically integrated and enhanced with sound effects. Play the role of the attacking or defending force. Single-player and multiplayer slot creation. Demo Missions RotorOps: Aleppo Under Siege https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3320079/ Rota Landing (Mr. Nobody) https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3320186/ RotorOps: Conflict Conflict is a game type in which attacking forces must clear Conflict Zones of defending ground forces. Once a zone is cleared, the next zone is activated and ground vehicles will move to the next Conflict Zone automatically. Dynamic Roles A RotorOps conflict mission has opportunities for a variety of roles and tasks. There's no need to artificially select these roles, as the mission is fully dynamic. Transport Logistics: CTLD logistics crates are available from your starting base or staging zone. The logistics area has several logistics containers, that can themselves be moved to a new area via DCS inbuilt sling loading. If you can get one of these containers to a new area safely, it becomes a CTLD logistics zone for spawning crates to build ground units and air defenses. CAS: The attacking side starts with ground units that move progressively through enemy conflict zones, seeking out enemy units within each zone. Protecting these ground forces is essential for establishing forward bases for rearming, troop pickup, and winning the battle Troop Transport: Never before has infantry been so important in DCS! Pick up troops from the staging area or a cleared conflict zone and deliver them to the active conflict zone. They will move through the zone until no enemies remain (or until they are killed). Very useful for flushing out enemy infantry and vehicles in densely forested or urban areas. JTAC units can mark important targets with smoke and laser. Ground Attack: Destroy enemy vehicles and infantry to ensure the survival of our own ground units. Clearing conflict zones of enemy units is essential for establishing forward bases for rearming and refueling. All enemy ground units must be destroyed to win the battle! Fixed-wing CAP/CAS: Enemy attack helicopters and planes are optional in the generator. Add slots in the mission generator for fixed-wing flights to provide cover for our helicopters and ground units. For a unique challenge, try Defense mode in a fixed-wing ground attack role...enemies are nearly always in motion. Mission Generator and Customization The mission generator works by automatically placing units and trigger actions into a map template with defined airports and trigger zones. Missions produced by the generator are easy to modify and understand. For example, units can be moved, and player flights can be added without issue. Use the result of the mission generator for quick plays, or build on it for something epic. Trigger actions are set up, labeled, and commented so that you can understand how things work and add your own actions. An additional library of voiceover files is provided for your own use. Easily add your own templates for friendly/enemy ground units directly in the DCS mission editor. Create your own scenarios for the RotorOps mission generator, using the DCS mission editor. Developers We welcome contributors to this new project! Please get in touch on Discord with new ideas or pickup/create an issue in this repo. Edit: I've updated the layout below based on feedback from many people in the community. You guys are all awesome! AH-64D Apache Longbow null Please keep in mind that the Apache is not released yet as of this post. This is simply to provide a layout for gamepad users so they have something once the Apache is available. The controls I've chosen to bind are based on the following resources: CasmoTV's Apache Controls Overview BradMick's Apache Control Mapping Recommendation Eagle Dynamics Discord - DCS Helicopter Chat channel Low Level Hell Discord - Apache channel Mi-24P Hind's Petrovich AI Menu Wags' binding and startup video Let me know what you guys think. Is there a more ergonomic way of laying out these controls? Are any key bindings completely missing? Perhaps there's some unnecessary ones?

When Apache fly on missions, do they often fly in pairs, solo or larger groups... for example on Escort MediVacs, Recon or CAS missions...

Hi all, Just to see if i have understood it correct, all weapons can be fired from the pilotseat..? But you can't lase your targets, you need your CPG or someone else to do that..? More considering how much i will need George on missions, because i am planning to be the pilot all of the time, for me piloting this beauty is so much more than looking in the TADS Thanks a have a great day

Hi, Came up with this idea for controlling the massive Apache Collective with my VirPil Collective with a KA-50 grip, i also got an VBK MCG Ultimate where i will use the brake lever as a modifier. So without the modifier pressed, the collective buttons etc. works for the upper half of the Apache collective. With the modifier pressed the collective buttons etc. works for the lower half of the Apache collective.. What do you guys think of this solution?

DCS OpenBeta 2.7.7 Server IP: 144.217.252.42:10308 SRS: 144.217.252.42:5002 LotAtc: Request Access Tacview: Request Access General Server Idea What we wanted to bring to the DCS community is a server that will be persistent, hardcore, and fun. While we are mainly Rotary wing focused, this does not mean we do not like the fixed-wing airframes. Helping other players in building FARP, units, and capturing airfields is a very important part of our server. Discord<<Click me Situation Israel and Syria have been in conflict for thousands of years. Since 2022, After the ceasefire ordered by the Council of nations, Syria Has spent the last 20 years gearing up for war. Syria and the Council of Nations are not willing to allow the dictatorship to have such a large arsenal. The border needs to be reinforced to protect Israel from a possible Syrian Invasion. Once the border is reinforced, we can start the push into Syria to remove the dictator from power. Damascus is heavily reinforced by his followers. Destroy factories and airfields. Frequencies can be found in your kneeboard. There are Easter Eggs in this server mission. Good luck finding them! Game Plan Reinforce the front line(indicated on map) Push the Syrian forces from the border Move into Syria and capture the Factories, Airfields, and strategic points Dwindle the Syrian forces until the supply is low enough for an attack on Damascus Assassinate the Dictator Persistence This server is persistent, constantly evolving campaign. What this means is, everything you do is kept on the server after a restart. Supply There is a finite amount of supply for both Syria and Israel. This means if you take off in a helicopter or a jet, and loose the aircraft that will no longer be in the supply However, there are factories across the map for resupply of Airframes, Fuel, Munitions, and troops. Don't forget that you will need to resupply the airfields and FARPS with the required munitions. Statistics We save stats on the server, that includes but not limited to; Flight hours Kills Deaths Weapons Specifics AI specifics Rules Be kind.... Work together No trolling No Teamkilling Combined Arms Yes! We love combined arms users! If you would like to have the ability to have a combined arms slot, do not hesitate to ask! We keep the slots limited to users who are on the discord and have some form of reputation with Gracey's Village. This keeps trolls, and griefing to a minimum Weather The weather is a slightly bumpy, and chilly light overcast. The time starts at 730 am(first run) and continues through the night into the next day. Weather can change overtime.

Hi, Does the Apache Cyclic returns to center or stay in place if released..? More if i should remove the springs and only use the Dry Clutches on my VBK Ultimate to simulate this... And does the Module support this, or only support return to center joysticks..? Thanks in advance

Have searched and couldn't find any explanation to these two, look like buttons or lights..? Anyone can help with an explanation to what they are, thanks.!
