  1. Steam sale is on again :)
  2. So how many modules do you guys own? I haven't played even my first mission yet or learned a plane yet as work has kept me busy with changing jobs and having to get certs etc (I left being a LEO Investigator to work at a Nuke plant). So I cant play the game much but when I have down time at work I can view the sales and the steam sale going on now got my wallet So I bought 33 modules (aircraft and campaigns) and now have over 60 modules in the DLC tab for DCS at 427.52 GB. Is that normal Love this sim so much its turning into pokemon, gotta catch em all.
  3. I have a DDR5 rig and am using 32GB of Corsair Dominator at 6200mhz. I heard so many people mentioning issues with MP and Syria servers using all their ram I bought another 32GB set just for if I start playing those servers. Unfortunately DDR5 mother boards don't handle four 16GB DIMMS from two different sets at the moment at full speed so when I install the other set I drop from 6200mhz to 4000-5000mhz, its a trade off. I am still learning the game and haven't got to play at all in months due to work so I haven't got to test yet if 32 at 6200 is better than the 64@ 4-5000 for this game yet in those types of servers and I am nowhere near ready to play multiplayer.
  4. I wanted the cube sim but the prices went up and the shipping was crazy. So I ended up going with one of Etsy that uses HDMI. I guess I could get converter plugs to make them HDMI to USB and put them on a powered hub which I need hubs for anyway for all my peripherals and drives. Is it ok to run them via the same hub since its multiple screens or should each use its own port directly of the PC and not the same hub? Haven't used any displays like this before so forgive my ignorance. Also seems the HDMI to USB adaptors are cheaper than my HDMI splitters I was looking at or HDMI to USB C.
  5. Interesting. So to add those to the third spot I would need to do like so with the F16 EHSI for example? EHSI = { x = 3841; y = 370; width = 520; height = 520; I am taking wild guesses based on your LUA files for the width and height. Yeah Ill fix those names asap. I was basing it off a modified copy of your LUA with the Display Exports Folder to try to learn.
  6. Hi I haven't got my setup in yet or my new PC but want to run 3 mfds along with my main screen. I am trying to go ahead and make a LUA file to speed things up for when it arrives. I cant run it on my current PC cause my GPU died I have been going ahead and buying the modules I wanna play while the sales have been going though: AH-64D, FC3, A-10C II, F-16C, F/A-18C, AV-88, F-14, M-2000C I notice most people only use two MFDs or another large monitor to put several things on but I wanna run 3 MFDs if possible with three thrustmaster cougar MFD. The screen will be 800x600. Anyway If I am understanding right this stuff right is how my file should be? Through I probably royally screwed up trying to do it for the third MFD. Gotta figure out how to use (what to put) in the third MFD for aircraft with only two. Boyer Cougar.lua
  7. Does this cut down on your FPS much? That's why I was thinking to use the motherboards built in graphics since its gonna be low res displays anyway for radar so I could max my FPS potential if it does.
  8. Yeah I would but I have had issues with VR sickness. I know I could take months to train myself out of it though. The other issues is the resolution (too low for me) and screen door most VR has right now. I have had VR before and am not happy with how it is at the moment. I think they need a few more years. I see Growling Sidewinder reviewing the Pimax 8K but I'm still on the fence on it till I see one myself in person or more people get it and say its good.
  9. Literally an absolute newbie at DCS. I have bought it and am waiting on my new PC to arrive to play it on. I have only ever booted it up for like 10 minutes back in 2018 to see if I liked it but never got around to getting the hardware till now to really play it. Anyway I have two cougar MFD displays purchased and am buying a third. I also will be ordering a set of three LCD screen to go with them to output the MFDs in game on. They will hook up via HDMI. I am thinking I should get adaptors to place them on dual HDMI to USB C for the left and right MFD on one port and then a separate just HDMI straight connection by itself for the center MFD since it will only be used on a few planes like the hornet that way I can turn it off separate the other two. What's the best way to connect the three to my pc? should I run my main monitor on my GPU and the MFDs on the motherboard or run all on the GPU only? Below is the PC and setup specs if it helps (its being built by digital storm but I am adding my own upgrades as soon as it arrives. Oh my monitor is 4k.
