Ok so I have a trackIR system that I use for DCS and have mapped a button for recenter and pause of the trackIR (so I can move my head and not move on screen) to extra buttons on my F-16 Throttle HOTAS as it has two extra button not assigned for use in the profile and not on a real F-16. I would like to do something similar with my F/A-18 Super Libra, Super Taurus and PTO and PCR setup. I have zero knowledge on the hornets setup as I haven't been learning it yet and jsut got them but on the Joystick and Throttle HOTAS they appear to have no free buttons unlike the WINWING F-16 HOTAS. What would be a good rarely used button to reassign to the recenter and trackIR pause function that wont take away a useful control or is there a free button I haven't realized?

I will thanks. Anyone from say 2021-2022 who has one have the same or different? Someone sent me a link to a 2021 video and in it the mount is the same as what I got pictured so I guess they changed them? But that's the only thing I have ever seen of them being silver. May be a production change, my Libra is different too internally than the Winwing manuals and does not have H or S marked cams and the screw locations on the base have changed, they also glue the connectors on the board unlike in the manuals so disassembly is different slightly and I have to change the springs with the board still attached which is a pain and it now comes with the #6 spring installed on the top cam spots instead of already being setup for an extension. Hopefully Winwing will let me know what's up and they need to update their manuals.

Yeah I had bought the libra literally a day or two before they announced the Orion 2. Just got my first Orion 2 today and like it but am waiting on the Orion 2 MFSSB version I preordered too. One will be for helos and one for the F-16 but I really need to get the cam set for it in case I need it. Winwing is making me buy all their products I got a blackshark collective too but haven't got the throttle base a joystick and extension for the helos setup yet but I'm waiting to see what else they announce before I dive into that like I did the Libra only for the Orion 2 to release.

Hey guys I just got my Super libra desk mount along with the extension and super taurus setup to go with my Libra base I already had. I am doing a complete control setup for just the F/A-18 (F/A-18 joystick, libra base, PTO, PCR, Taurus setup and mounts)and a set for just F-16 (F-16 Throttle on Orion 2, Orion 2 base and F-16Ex controller). Since I already had some of the gear and some bundles have been sold out a lot so I had to by them in smaller bundles if that makes a difference and not the all and one cheaper bundles. Any so I unboxed the libra desk mount and found it was silver and not black on the extensions that connect to the Libra base. Anyone else get theirs this way? I also had to deburr it a lot and it had a lot of slag inside and out where the holes where cut by what looks to have been a torch or some heat method from the annealing. Is that normal of did I get unfinished parts in my kit? All the online review and the pictures on Winwing have it being black so I assume coated like the rest of the kit is.
-
Yeah thats probably what they are doing, only drawback is you need the cam kit to stiffen it up as its too springy returning to center vs the Libra but I'm sure the kit changes that. By the way my super libra I guess is version 3? The part setup inside is a bit different than the manual online as far as the cams, board and screw placement. I am adding the extension to it and the manual online says to switch the spring to the number 5 when doing that so did you ever have to do that or leave it stock?

Anyone notice any bundle with the Super Libra base and the base by itself is now listed as suspended on WinWing's site. Is that cause of the lockdown or is it being replaced by the Orion 2 for now on? That would make sense production and logistic wise and I have both and to me the Orion 2 is superior so maybe they are streamlining production to just the one base.
-
Thank you I actually just received it today. Thanks for trying so hard to despite the Covid lockdown. Hope everyone is ok.
-
Probably cause the lockdown was extended to September 8th now but the site is up and they put out a video on how to install the MFSSB.
-
Well they are trying there best to keep things up. They were able to get my shipment to resume and it made it to the US. The notice has been removed but I haven't seen any new that they or the rest or the city has been allowed to go back to normal.

For those that didn't know Winwing is on Covid lockdown as they are based in Chengdu China. As of 9-1-22 this is on their site. I currently had an order for a Super Taurus F/A-18 throttle set , F/A-18 Joystick, extension and Libra desk mount and Orion 2 joystick base on August 30th that shipped but due to this lockdown my stuff is being held up with no delivery date for the foreseeable future at Fedex in Chengdu. Just beaware of this if you wish to order or reach out to Winwing. At least my F-16 throttle and joystick with a libra base arrived last month so I can still play. This will probably affect the release of their Orion 2 MFSSB and F/A-18 MFD bundles too. I know they date it till August 4th but other cities in China that had similar lockdowns with set dates exceeded them by months. Covid-19 Outbreak, To Our Customers/Aviators Dear Customers/Aviators: As affected by the Covid-19 Outbreak, Chengdu Municipal People’s Government declared a strategy of “static management”, residents are barred from leaving their homes. Those who have purchase our products, we will try our best to arrange delivery by Sep 1st, 2022 (USA/Germany time: Aug 31st , 2022). If there are any stranded goods, we will immediately arrange delivery for you as soon as this “restriction” is over. 3.From Sep 1st , 2022 to Sep 4th, Beijing time (USA/Germany time: Aug 31st, 2022~Sep 4th, 2022) Because the logistics service suspended, therefore we cannot send out any replacement accessories or complete sets, so sorry about that. However we will immediately arrange the delivery as soon as this “restriction” is over. 4.From Sep 1st , 2022 to Sep 4th, Beijing time (USA/Germany time: Aug 31st, 2022~Sep 4th, 2022) WINWING official website and our online store will function normally, not impacting any normal purchases. Might be hard to get help from support at the moment. They are trying to operate at normal best they can but China issued a covid lockdown on Chengdu where WinWing is. Unfortunately for me I just ordered 1200 dollars in peripherals on the 30th of August (super taurus F/A-18 throttle set, extensions and joysticks) from them and it didn't get out of Chengdu via FedEx before the lockdown (9-1-22) so my stuff is on indefinite hold. A note on there page says they cant even send out replacement parts but they will between the 1-4th try to answer support request.

Even with that video mine won't function right. In game vibration on and proper profile loaded and it wont work. It only works on the test page of the sim app if I move the vibration slider.
-
Followed the steps exactly and none of it is working. The panels and joystick all work and test fine in simapp pro but nothing loads in DCS. When I heck the controls it never imported any of the profiles. EDIT: think I got it for some reason the run button doesnt work but after three restarts it works for now

Anyone know some cover that fits the seat that I can get? I wanted a jetpad in OD green with the covers I saw on simshaker's site but with recent events and the economy I couldn't get a new jet seat from there to here for less than 600 dollars so that's a no go for now. I was fortunate however that I found a nearly non used Gametrix KW-908 on ebay for less than 100 but one of the straps had came off at the seams due to poor stitching, other than that its mint. So I wanna get either a black or OD slip over cover for it to hide that horrendous orange color when its in my seat. I will try to make my own if I must but was hoping someone knew some type of cover that might fit that I can just buy since I have no sewing shops around here.

F-15EX Mod
Sorata replied to VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
Ah thank you so much! Yeah not sure why that happened either. I never even got to post anything just signed up and awaited an approval email like the directions said. I went back to the site after not getting an email for a good while only to find I was suspended when I went back to check the site -
EDIT: Got em all now. Every available aircraft, GPS system and campaign is 456.82 GB.

F-15EX Mod

Cant download the mod. I registered and was awaiting approval and they immediately suspended my account and I never did anything. Guess they want this private and invite only. -
Haven't had enough uninterrupted time too but I will soon. I was a LEO investigator (worked ungodly hours, too much for just two people to do without backing) and have finally left that job I am transitioning in a new job (working for a Nuclear Power facility) that will give me about 14 days off a month to do as I wish once I'm out of my several months long training which will be ending in August. Then I can finally set down and play uninterrupted and everything will be set up by then how I want it. I will give default a try, thanks. I had seen a lot of post suggesting changes since 2.7 seems to have tanked a lot of people FPS and suggesting those as a baseline hence why I used them. I know NVCP is pretty much needed for games like Elden Ring to run at even 60 FPS locked without hiccups and makes a huge difference in it to the point its pretty much required if you have a 30 series card or a newer Alder Lake system due to bad optimization. Thank you for the advice. EDIT: Went to default settings in NVCP only got 3-4 fps more than what I had. Your right in this game its effect are almost nonexistent. Also forgot to mention I'm on Studio drivers not the regular graphics driver for a NVIDIA due to update 516.40 causing RE VIllage to crash. I haven't switched back to the regular drivers yet.

That's what I was curious about. In most games with MP the FPS makes a difference almost to an unwinnable degree if your FPS is too low you simply dont hit the enemy. Since DCS is much more complex with its radar systems, weapons guidance etc I was curious if the FPS could affect those systems and if say I was running 30 fps vs someone at 144 locked then would it give them an advantage, would their weapons work better and track better etc. Guess I should have worded it better. But I an inferring from you that it doesn't matter. I know connection speeds will matter though and I have the fastest package available where I live which is only 100MB. Luckily they are installing new lines and a 2GB package will be available in October.

So I have been playing wit the settings in game and in the NIVIDIA control panel for about 4 hours straight now and on most settings I can see no difference. Granted my flight was limited to by keyboard since I am replacing my flight stick already and haven't learnt my first module yet All three of my custom in game presets use this as a base in NVIDIA control panel off what I gathered from some online searches. (some buttons appear washed out as I am using a HDR 1400 monitor) These where tested by a keyboard free flight of the F-14B over the caucuses Custom set 1 nets me about 102-105 in cockpit and 115-121fps in F2 view Custom 2 nets me 133-138 roughly on the interior and 175-180 exterior F2 view And finally custom 3 gets me about 75-83 interior and 84-87 exterior F2 view So my question is what should I prioritize for those who play this a lot. I wanna get into it very heavily and have been getting my PC and controls all set up first and getting reference books and materials. Heck I got this PC just for this game and went overboard and got all the modules, campaigns etc that Steam had minus the Christian Eagle II, Mosquitto and 1 campaign since they weren't on sale (I have been buying a lot lately but started end of last year getting stuff) Should I prioritize the looks and just run whatever fps I get or if I start to dive into MP play should FPS be King? I look forward to learning and sharing the sky's online with you guys. EDIT SORRY ONE SEC CANT FIGURE OUT HOW TO PUT IMAGES

Curious about this myself. Looking at the Winwing setup to replace a Warthog that I haven't used yet but just did the grease and slew mods to and noticed the flight stick HOTAS was too wobbly for my like. Cant believe they want 130 for shipping I can save 200 by getting the Orion and preordering the bundle but if I want a Libre I have to order the parts seperate. EDIT: Ordered the libre anyway I think the difference is that the libre can use extensions and allows you to add a z axis addon and change springs and the orion does not.
-
I forgot about the free trials, I should have looked into how that worked. I ended up at 103 now. Bought everything that was 50% off. I think all I need now is the Christian Eagle II and Mosquitto and 1 campaign that wasn't on sale yet. At 50% off I figured what the heck and my new job surprised me with a bonus check with the worlds best timing so I decided that's where it would go as a gift to myself since I have been neglecting that for a while and pretty much working nonstop for a few years i.e. haven't had a vacation in 22 years. Ill spend it at home playing this with my dogs for my RIO/WISO. Gonna be reading a lot of PDFs at work Wonder if I can drag my old by then PC to the old folks home when the time comes in about 30 years so I can finally play it all
-
Best way I have heard it put yet.
-
they keep tempting me with this sale.... bought 7 more modules (two planes L-39 C-101, 3 GPS addons for them and two campaigns). While I love the half off prices I will be eating Ramen noodles all next month
-
I hope so too for your sake
