@BIGNEWY @Lange_666, Lange has the best described decline in FPS, supported by tests, maybe you would ask him to volunteer for a beta tester in this case?
-
In my case, the graphics card clogs up, wear reaches 100% and frames drop down. In previous patches (the working ones) it didn't get clogged. If the DCS had changed graphically, it would have been understandable, but nothing has changed, except for water, the reduction of which to low does almost nothing.
-
I suspect that everyone has drops, and only those people who are on the limit of performance can see, like me, all on ultra, sliders to the right except for shadows on the GTX 1080. I can see every frame that escapes me.
-
Has anyone affected by the drop in frames already tried the stable version instead of the beta version?
-
Where to delete direct map shaders in DCS install folder? I haven't tried this yet. EDIT: i found location > E:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\terrains\Syria\misc\metacache\base E:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\terrains\Syria\misc\shadercache EDIT2: It did not work for me
-
I tried it at the very beginning, unfortunately it didn't work for me either.

Adana test.trk@NineLine In this mission is very reproductable, just Ctrl+F11 on Adana Sakirpasa airfield, fixed view, standard towards city without any head tracking. In pre 20 oct got solid 60FPS, now 51. Yesterday patch help a little, so 9 FPS loss for me at the moment.

Who and for what Would you like to buy any new modules?

And now, hands up who using SSAO, SSLR, i bet 90% pilots disable it at start, personaly i prefer view distance higher than those eyecandies. yes, we will need them, but not now, not yet. Players with low end like me want decent view distance and FPS (i also need terrain objects shadows on default, but may forget about them with GTX 1080). Players with high ends are mainly VR, so what they need? FPS! When all got decent FPS, time for eyecandies. With last patch we got better water, for what? For disabling it, put to low. Why? Because Low ends needs FPS, and High ends VR need FPS also. I really want to buy new rig, for flatscreen, for eyecandies not VR, but that rig (thanks to GPU prices) is halfprice of PPL(A) Pilot licence in my country. -
For me 3-4 FPS Gain, still 10 FPS less than pre October 20
-
I fully agree with you, I am trying to show that maybe there is a problem here, I do not have screenshots from previous patches, but often as I checked it, even over land, the load was around 68%, Only over large cities it was 100% and slight drops in frames. I just put in everything that can lead the creators to some trail.

Returned now from deep sea patrol. Screenshot taken 85 km from nearest land (i got 35900 preload radius), only sea, me and moon, and Petrovich ofcourse. Just look how my GPU hardly used, CPU sleeps (because nothing is nearby), EDIT: FPS is locked at 60 by Vsync this is important, because if it were 180 FPS, the graphics card would actually be loaded.
-
His 9900 almost idling when he flies, as the DCS doesn't even use 50 percent of it for heavy missions.
-
Same here, even less 2-3 FPS difference, just as "old" water high vs low.
-
Well, naval operations in deep sea continues then. I also discovered plain desert in Southern Syria, DCS should run pretty smooth there. Sooner or later they will find the cause and fix it.

@LurkerKnow your pain, for me flying time also is over, i even tried to fly on locked 30FPS, but my eyes hurts, only forums left, and waiting for solution, maybye testing people's ideas how to deal with problem. -
They bring back fps for sure, or maybye add even more! It's openbeta, best solution is just wait for patch or hotfix, we tested everything we can test. For those who don't want revert to previous build, now is great oportunity to fly some naval sorties over sea, check some tankers, check if they have any problems onboard or so. I personally gave up the idea of going back to the old version in case something still needs to be tested.
-
My standard settings except for terrain shadows, which i got on flat. Pretty high, but remember that I'm flying on 1080p flatscreen.
-
I strongly wish this works, but not for me, terrain shadows flat 45 FPS, and on screenshot terrain shadows default 36 FPS. And I remember with nostalgia that a few days ago I had 60 FPS.
-
Yes, tried, also tried delete C Folder DCS.openbeta, nothing helps. It's openbeta, ant things like this patch will happens, i need revert to last build, but cannot find how to do that.
-
Agree, try use trackir below 60 FPS, horrible motion lags.

I'm personally holding up with Apache, my woman modernised her PC for that, but also she got only GTX 1070, me 1080. I know it's openbeta, and things changes, but i barely can fly hind, can i tell more... i can't even fly hind, because when fps goin under 60 i got TrackIR lags, and cannot fly without that. When i fire up MFCD's in apache my PC can only say "So long partner, i'm out" -
Reducing something is not an option for me unless sim looks like mid 90 and i got my FPS back. Simply someone put wrong number or comma in code, and here we go. There's a way to return to previous build? Why do I need new missiles for the Mi-24 if all I can hit is esc and quit game?
-
Well, we lost performance everywhere, not only in cockpit, so if any setting affect whole program it should be visible in test view. BTW i don't see any difference on/off in cockpit aswell.
-
Tested without Global illumination. With weather preset 2 FPS gain, Without weather No changes. EDIT: Screenshots capped wrong numbers, With weather preset counter shows 47, without 50 FPS
-
Tested aswell without weather, got 5 FPS gain compared to weather preset. Still 9 FPS loss compared to the earlier build with weather preset high scattered 2. Simple math... 16% performance loss. If i count weather preset i got 25% performance loss (45 FPS on my earlier post with screenshot) @BIGNEWY Gonna test it give me 10 mins.
