  1. Personally I can't stand launchers. I've never even been able to open the KSP2 launcher, so perhaps that launcher needs a launcher! Therefore I'm a bit surprised to see some pro-launcher comments, and admittedly, as the sort of user who has a script that starts DCS and companion apps in one click, I did not consider use cases mentioned here. If there's value added by the launcher, maybe it's a good thing?
  2. There must have been some sort of refactor on the F-1, I hadn't been in the CE for a while and had to rebind a lot of stuff. Oh the joys of early access
  3. As a DCS hoarder, I certainly understand that it's possible to collect 'em all, but it's impossible to know 'em all. That's made me appreciate the growing stable of older aircraft for variety and try to focus only on a couple newer ones. I also think a big part of the fun is learning and practicing, whether it's the familiarity of hopping in the P-51 or Huey, or maintaining Hornet skills on the boat or in the air. Spending some time focusing on one aircraft, and then going out and utilizing the stuff you practiced in a campaign or on a server, is really satisfying. Doesn't even matter which aircraft.
  4. I encountered this problem twice in a row on Hoggit TNN. Intersection of Ramp 1 and 09 just before entering the runway. Slow taxi speed, no steering applied, controls free. Unfortunately the track file is 110mb or so, but if it's helpful I can put it on Google Drive. MB-339 is at the beginning of the session. In the past I tried to correlate the bug with specific parts of specific airfields, but was unable to consistently replicate the problem. Now that it's happened again, I guess it's worth checking out. It's worth noting the exaggerated bump just before the fatal bump in the first one, and the different locations of the second attempt vs the first.
  5. You got in at a really interesting time. The learning curve is steep, but that's what makes it interesting. Enjoy the ride!
  6. OH wow! Agreed, light theme melts eyeballs. I wish I had seen this sooner! null
  7. One thing I don't care for on the MB-339 is the use of left clicks for many cockpit interactions, while the norm across DCS is right clicks. Not a deal breaker but it is odd when you're used to the opposite.
  8. With regard to keybinds, can we expect more options such as on/off or up/down vs a toggle? I doubt I even need to ask, but of course I must Loved the first flight, she really soars after you drop all that heavy ordinance. Great work IFE!
  9. (Referring to https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/products/planes/mb-339/) Just a small thing, but the BAT-120 is pretty neat and shouldn't be misnamed
  10. In addition to the delay and the extra variants, I can't help but speculate that since (at least IMO) the standard of quality for DCS modules has increased since 2020, meeting it might take some unforeseen refactoring / polishing / tuning.
  11. It's one of the most interesting aircraft in the lineup IMO. Challenging to fly and iconic. The devs are working on an update (or will be in the near term), but there's no reason not to get it now.
  12. Looking forward to trying this campaign out this weekend. I like that it's a campaign for a lesser-used aircraft, with a believable storyline, and fairly straightforward missions. Stuff like this can really add interest and enjoyment for those of us who aren't highly skilled - something fun to do other than hitting target ranges or doing some of the easier PvE out there.
